Kona Magic Sands#213 is a DIRECT oceanfront, 2nd floor condo that is meticulously maintained, beautifully furnished, and has absolutely anything any guest could dream of. Wifi, beach gear, linens, dishes you name it, the condo has it!

This 2nd floor condo has such a beautiful view! Wake up to the ocean, hear the waves. Great whale watching during the winter months!
Immediately upon walking in, you'll notice a well appointed mini kitchen that has a stove, sink, fridge and fully stocked with dishes. The bathroom has a walk in shower for you.

In the living area, there's a sitting area if you want to get some R&R watching TV. There's a small dining area as well by the Queen Sized Bed. This is an incredible option for 1 or 2 people looking to be direct beach front.

Kona Magic Sands is the only beachfront condominium complex in Kona. Enjoy an oceanfront pool there as well! There's a restaurant on site called Magics Grill as well!
Laundry use is available in the complex, which is a shared common area.

Great stay!

We have stayed at this property in the past. You can not beat the location. We washed whales from our couch! This apt was the nicest one we have stayed in! It’s light and bright. Clean, comfortable. We will be back!

Stunning

Having the ocean right smack infront of the condo was amazing! Did not spend any time in the area of the condo as we toured all over the island. Was centerally located for all directions. Great to wake up to the ocean and fall asleep with the sound of the waves!

Perfect Holiday Rental

It appears that the road in front of the apartment building is a thorough fair. We did not know that the traffic never stopped. Neither did the noise in addition to that across the street or parking lots evidently for the restaurant and for people using the beach I’m not sure which, it appears that base music in cars is still popular in Hawaii and they are there all day every day I had to walk across the street to beg them to please turn the base on the radios down. We would never have rented there if we would have known, there was a party lot across the street. I think it’s unfair. You don’t tell people people about it.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at our Unit we were very disappointed, it does not look like the pictures posted. The Unit was clean except for the stained carpet, it definitely needs some TLC!!! It needs new linen’s, towels and the medicine cabinet needs to be replaced.The location is wonderful, having Magic Sands Beach and the restaurant next door was very nice. We especially enjoyed the amazing view and the sound of the waves crashing right in front of our Unit.

Beautiful Place!

Beautiful location, beautiful sandy beach access, great restaurant attached, great pool, clean grounds. Other than a minor "lock" issue initially, as well as the medicine cabinet rusting away, we loved staying there and would return. Would have loved to have the pretty white bedspread on the bed (like the photos listed) instead of the homely, older blue bedspread when we arrived.

Magical

Place is right next to Magic Sands beach. Made for super easy access with a toddler to go to the beach, go to the pool, nap times, etc. We stayed at the end of September and had the windows open to keep the place cool. It is a quick ride to several restaurants. Overall great place.

Perfect Studio by the Sea

Perfect sunsets and rainbows, crashing waves. There's a snorkeling beach next door and better one a couple of miles away. Very fully furnished kitchen. TKA Grocery store nearby with very fresh poke and produce. Snorkel gear, beach chair and umbrella were very useful. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is right next to a small sandy beach which is nice. In the condo with all the doors closed you can hear the waves crashing so it was hard to sleep for a light sleeper.

Great spot to stay

Reviewer Comments: The room was good as expected from the pictures etc. You can watch some amazing sunsets from the window.It's also right by the Magic Grill, for which you get a 10% discount of food with your room key. They did great food and drink, which you can consume looking out over the beach/sea.Nothing else walking distance, but it's only a 10 minute drive/taxi to Kailua Kona.If you stay in for an evening there's a very basic kitchen and a modern TV so you can login to any major service like netflix, etc.Be aware the windows aren't very soundproof, so the sea is quite loud at night. If that's not your thing, definitely bring earplugs.

Wonderful view, but...

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This condo has probably the best view of any place we've stayed in. It was awesome to see spinner dolphins jumping and yellow tangs coming in on the surf in the morning--and right underneath us! Sunsets were magnificent and there was no need for us to go out to a view place for drinks. We bought ingredients for our drinks and enjoyed the view from our room. On the other hand, the condo could use some major updates. First, the bed (a small one for two people) sits on what used to be the balcony and the floor tips, thus making the bed tilt to the right side. One of us used the hide-a-bed, which felt, well, like a hide-a-bed with about 30 years of wear. Second, there is no air conditioning. We were there in February, and even then it was warm and stuffy without the windows open. There are louvered windows above the door and in the bathroom to let in air. Unfortunately, they also let in noise (even when closed). And noise there was! The condo fronts on a main 2-lane street and seems to be a thoroughfare for trucks and "hot cars" with no mufflers. Many are headed to next-door Magic Sands Beach, which is popular with surfers, b. boarders and people who want to loudly socialize day and night. In the early morning the landscape people start their blowers (right after 7 am). There is a restaurant with decent food and a beach bar next-door as well. Note there are three stories and no elevators. Recommended, but only for the view!

Property Needs Help

The only good thing about this property is the view. The walls are cracked. The carpet is stained. The curtains are ripped and falling apart. The floor has a definite slope in the middle. The pool is not in an open area to view the ocean and get a breeze. The "beach" was non existent! Perhaps a private owned vrbo is better maintained than with a property management company. Overall.....disappointed.
