HOT TUB overlooking the River.

12 miles from Helen, GA.
Four baths and four bedrooms with 8 beds total. In addition, there are two sleeper couches and a porch bed. 2 floors connected by a spiral staircase inside and a full staircase between the porches. Although both floors have a kitchen/den; The entire home is included in the rental.

Perfect for two families. Each unit has a porch overlooking the river, kitchen, dining room, den with fireplace, 2 bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen, 1 double, and 1 single.

Internet, U-Tube TV, and limited Firewood provided.

Family trip

River House

We loved the location of the house. Sitting in the rocking chairs listening to the sound of the river was super relaxing!

Nice place

Nice rental. Only down side was the stairs especially for 4 70+ adults.....LOL Would recommend to others.

Happy Dance

Our group had a wonderful stay. We all loved the view of the river/rapids. Spent time relaxing on the porch and exploring the river. Also,there is many things to do in the area. Can't wait to go back!

Great place!

We had a great time at this cabin. It was a great space, lots of room, well stocked kitchen and supplies. Close to Helen, Hiawassee and hiking trails. There was no shortage of hot water, even with 8 people. The sound of the river was soothing, lots of fun things to do, sporting crawfish, salamanders and other wildlife. We were able to bring our dogs, they had a great time too! Drew was very responsive and friendly. We highly recommend this place and will return for sure!

Relaxing with family

This was such a fantastic place! Took four teenage boys with me on our yearly trip. There was so much for them do to and I had a nice relaxing vacation. I am a BIG reader and the quiet of the home and the running river next to the house made the reading of a good book so relaxing. Love that they allow dogs to join the fun as they were more excited to be in the river and walk the yard that they slept better there than at home. Will be back more in the future!! The owners where very helpful in giving suggestions on things to do and where to eat that it was AMAZING. See you all in the future!

River Run Relaxation

We loaded this place up with 11 guests, filling all 4 bedrooms to capacity and a little couch overflow. Pros - Right on the river - Plenty of Parking - Lots of Rockers - Well stocked kitchen Cons - Spiral Staircase (Or use outdoor stairs) - Not enough seating to all eat together - Pots/Pans not big enough for full occupancy. - Oven runs really hot. - Constant warnings about additional charges Overall this place is great for the price. You can tell its under some sort of renovation. We spent a lot of time downstairs and being upstairs felt like a time out. Probably best with a max of 8 people, as that seems to be the best setup.

Great property for big families

We had a wonderful time, the trash situation was an issue. Just needed more trash can. Not sure that could have been helped. The property was great who knew it was going to be the the coldest weather in years. We did really get to enjoy the outside as much as we could due to the weather. I would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful views, many additional touches

This home was more impressive than photos can show! The time and special attention to every small detail and all of the available amenities made this such an easy and relaxing stay, even through Thanksgiving! We had children who enjoyed all of the coloring supplies & puzzles, parents who enjoyed the firepit, and of course comfortable beds! Several day trips within short drive, and just a peaceful lull of the river running by was so incredible. Host and property manager both made communication super-simple!

Awesome fun

We had a wonderful time. We were three families..6 adults and 6 kids. We all had a great time and everyone wants to go again next year. The property is absolutely beautiful. Property manager Miranda made us feel so welcome. She gave us alot of information of the area. Helen, Ga is so close and convenient. We ended up going into Helen every day.

Everything was PERFECT for our group of 3.5 couples...the cleanliness, the house layout, the well stocked kitchen, the fresh flowers throughout, the beauty of the area! We were fortunate to meet Cathy and Drew, the owners, and felt like friends after a short while. Miranda was the perfect hostess and was indispensable with her knowledge of the AT...our reason for staying there. We would stay there again, just because!

Great stay because of my family, not necessarily because of the house

The host was still cleaning at the time of check in from the previous occupants. Which wasn't a big deal for us. The house was clean and decorated. The tight spiral staircase was a little difficult for older/younger people but we managed. I wouldn't recommend having young children stay there as they are prone to move things around. My family and I were accused of stealing things after we left because a 2 year old moved things and something ended up under the couch. The house had a power surge which caused the hot tub heater to shut off, and didn't turn back on until we checked it that evening. The host was very quick to come up and check it. We did get to enjoy it once. I don't know if this is a common problem or not. Having two kitchens was great - we had Thanksgiving there. There is no dishwashwer, but doing dishes wasn't a huge problem for us. My kids loved being by the river and having a little fire. The host mentioned that the previous group used most of the wood, which leads me to think you aren't supposed to. So you may want to bring your own wood if you intend on having multiple fires. Helen and multiple hiking trails were right around the corner which was fun to go hike and shop. My family and I didn't appreciate being accused of theft, but I think if you have older children you may not run into the same issue. There are sticky notes everywhere...around the house. Overall my family and I had a great time! But I think it was more of because we were together and less because we were in a great house.

On the river

We enjoyed the house. Closer to the road than we thought but the river was beautiful. I do think, however, for what we paid per night, more than 1 roll of toilet paper would have been appreciated. I can understand limiting toiletries with many guests, but there was only 2 of us.

awesome river house

this is a great place. we all enjoyed out stay. very peaceful. nice place to take a dip or fish. public beach and boat rental places are nearby. great restaurants. the property manager was wonderful. this was has to be one of the best places we’ve stayed at. very spacious for multiple families. wish it didnt have to end.

Very relaxing

Thank you for allowing us to use your home. There are so many activities nearby and just sitting on the porch reading was a delight. We attended the church right next to your home and the people there were so friendly. The checkin was a bit haphazard as my daughter and her family arrived at 5:30pm after having a flat tire on the way and home wasn’t ready. They did say the person that greeted them was very nice. They were just exhausted with a four yr old and having a road hazard on the way. We had to arrive later due to a death in the family in Indiana. We truly enjoyed the time we were there. Have a great day!!

Hiawasee Rapids adventure and a breathtaking beauty.

For togetherness or a need for privacy , the lodge has it.The Hiawasee Rapids provides the title,slick rocks but sitting in the river is a spiritual reboot of the soul. There are stairs so if unable to climb not for you. AWESOME TRIP! ! Good location.
