We loved our stay at Starry Nights! The hosts were very kind. The location of the property was perfect for our family. We had 6 adults and 1 child. The lift was great help in unloading all of our stuff. We drove about 1,000 miles to get there so we had a lot of things to unpack. We will stay there again for sure.

This was our second time staying here. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect for us as a family of 5, kids are ages 4-10. Beach is very walkable. Bring a beach cart if you’ve got a lot of stuff. The screened in porch is great for being outside with no bugs! We were out there much of the time. The beach is pretty and not crowded. The only issue we had during this stay was there were swarms of big black flies in the dunes (and some on the beach) all through the outer banks islands. What we did the next day was go to the beaches on the sound side - we went to Salvo Day Use Area. It’s a super short drive (no longer than the walk to the beach if you went to the ocean side) and the water was calm and warm, beaches were clean, and most importantly, there were no black flies! We had a great day.We really enjoyed our stay at this home and would recommend it to others!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was exactly what we were looking for during our OBX vacation. The host communicated well, and we had no problems finding or accessing the property. A note for those perhaps visiting the Outer Banks for the first time (as we were): there are more restaurants and things to do farther north in Kill Devil Hills, Duck, etc., but you just can't beat the laid-back vibe on Hatteras Island. It's like another world down there. It's quiet, you can see the stars, the beaches aren't crowded--it was great. If you want to avoid the crowds and noise, this is the place for you. There are still several good restaurants in the area -- our favorite was The Froggy Dog in Avon.

The stay was fantastic. This was our second time staying at Salvo Starry Nights. If looking for a few days away at the beach, I highly recommend this home. Every aspect from reservation, to check-in, to check-out was smooth!

Lovely home, with a close walk to the beach.

We enjoyed another great stay here! The house is perfect for our family and beautiful as well. We love staying in Salvo for the quieter beaches.

Our team works really hard to ensure that every guest experience is an overall great experience like you stated yours was. For you to say that and then rate our cottage only 4 out of 5 stars doesn't make any sense and it's frankly not appreciated.

Wonderful family getaway

We had the best long weekend mini family getaway! We loved the quick walk to the secluded beach. The hosts were wonderful and the house was lovely. Highly recommend!

A cute spot!

We had a great time here! Place was clean, cute, and comfortable. Rental process was easy. A nice short walk to the beach. Overall a great spot for a vacay and if you're looking for a nice spot with a small group, definitely book this cottage!

There isn’t a beach view from the house but the ocean sounds are amazing! The walk to the ocean isn’t far & the views there are breathtaking. You’re only about a ten minute drive to the Sound side which is a whole different experience.

A great place!

We enjoyed our time at Salvo Starry Nights very much. The proximity to the beach was fantastic. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay! The place lived up to its name as well – we could see the Milky Way from the balcony on clear nights.
