-5 beds in 3 bedrooms (king, 2 fulls & 2 queens on the top & bottom floors)
-2 full bathrooms (on top & bottom floors, clothes washer & dryer are also in the bottom floor bathroom)
-Middle floor gathering space with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living area with a leather sectional sofa & electric fireplace, dining area with seating for 8 plus 3 additional counter stools, a half bathroom and a picturesque oceanfront deck with panoramic views, a gas grill, a dining table with seating for 4 and 3 chaise lounge chairs...perfect for reading, viewing the talented surfers & the abundant sea life (dolphins, whales, seals & otters are a common sight!), bird watching, sunbathing, grilling & dining al fresco!

We are in close proximity to the lively & fun towns of Capitola & Santa Cruz, but are far enough away from the crowds...the perfect location for both an active and a relaxing coastal getaway! We graciously invite respectful & responsible guests to share our little slice of heaven and enjoy all that California Dreamin' has to offer!
A FEW IMPORTANT NOTABLES BEFORE YOU REQUEST TO BOOK:
-While we absolutely want you to have the best experience possible at California Dreamin', we do have the expectation that our guests will be responsible & respectful and will take great care of our home. If this is not your intent, then please choose another property.
-PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BATH & BEACH TOWELS due to time constraints with housekeeping.
-Please be aware that our home has 28 indoor stairs between the 3 floors and there are steps down to the beach as well. If you have mobility limitations and/or are traveling with young children, this may be a concern for you.
-We kindly request that guests not wear outdoor shoes in our home (indoor slippers are perfectly fine). This helps immensely with keeping our carpeted areas clean between our biannual professional carpet cleaning appointments and is greatly appreciated.

*A generous starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags & dishwasher pods is provided. Guests are responsible for additional supplies if the complimentary provisions run out.
*Dish soap, bathroom hand soap, shampoo & conditioner, body wash & laundry detergent are provided. We attempt to keep these full, but cannot make guarantees of this.
*A single serve Keurig, drip coffee maker & Nespresso machine are provided. Guests supply their own coffee options.
*An assortment of games & puzzles (located in the lower portion of our wine glass cabinet), binoculars & a telescope are provided for your enjoyment.
*All bed linens, kitchen dish towels & 1 hand towel & bath mat per bathroom are provided (guests provide their own bath & beach towels).
*Security cameras: For our protection and yours, we have 2 outdoor security cameras on premises (near our front entrance & on the downstairs catwalk), as do most homes in our complex. These cameras may not be covered, unplugged, repositioned or tampered with in any way. Please be assured that there are no cameras on the middle floor deck or indoors & your privacy is respected. We fully comply with Airbnb & VRBO’s policy on surveillance devices. If you take issue with this, then California Dreamin’ is not an appropriate property for you
RULES & EXPECTATIONS:
-While we absolutely want you to have the best experience possible at California Dreamin', we do have the expectation that our guests will be responsible & respectful and will take great care of our home.
-No pets allowed, No exceptions, due to host’s severe allergies & HOA Rules
-No smoking/vaping/drugs/illegal activities
-No parties/events/large gatherings that exceed our maximum guest allowance.
-STRICT MAXIMUM OF 8 TOTAL OVERNIGHT GUESTS (regardless of age, this includes babies & children). If you have visitors, guest count may not exceed 10, including overnight guests
-Complex quiet hours are 10pm-8am, Please respect our neighboring units at all times
-Oversized, heavyweight trucks must park along the curb and not in our driveway, due to property weight limitations & HOA rules
-No campers, RV's, Trailers allowed, per our HOA rules
-FIREWORKS, firepits, deep fryers, etc are strictly prohibited. Only BBQ grills provided by homeowners are allowed
-Recycling bins are provided at the South end of our complex. Please dispose of all recyclables in these bins (HOA & county requirement).
-$500 security deposit hold required to ensure that you take excellent care of our home. This will be released after our housekeeper inspects our home & linens
-VRBO Host Fee = $375 cleaning & laundry fee, which is paid directly to our housekeeper + a $30 damage protection waiver
*Cleaning fee includes 3 hours of cleaning/sanitizing (not including the bbq grill - guests are required to clean grill after use) + off-site laundry by our professional housekeeper (not a housekeeping team). If additional cleaning time is necessary due to the condition that our home is left in, it will be deducted at the market rate of hourly housekeeping from your security deposit (examples: excessive sand in the house, furniture moved and not put back in its original place, beach gear and toys not rinsed and put away properly, grill not cleaned after use, excessive trash that requires a special pick-up, excessive grease & spills in the kitchen and inside appliances that require extra cleaning time, games & puzzles not returned to cabinet and left in disarray). If linens must be replaced due to unremovable staining, the replacement fee will be deducted from your security deposit. Early check-ins and late check-outs without prior consent from owners are subject to additional fees which will be deducted from your security deposit. Our housekeeper is very prompt and will be ready to clean at 11am
