La Selva Beach Townhome with Direct Beach & Ocean Access

Your backyard is the semiprivate beach and ocean when you’re vacationing at our 3 bedroom, 2 bath townhome that sleeps 8. Relax and enjoy the ocean and breathtaking views and beautiful sunset. The road leading to our home is private and our home is located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood.

We are excited to share with you our home which has been featured on the television show Staycation which films unique vacation rentals all around the world. Staycation broadcasts on the Destination Channel which includes NBC & CBS and has earned 7 emmy awards. Our home named Seaclusion has been selected based on it's unique features making it an excellent destination for families looking for a one of a kind home experience to create special lifelong memories.

All three stories of the house overlook the ocean. The top floor has the main bedroom with a king size bed. The second bedroom has 2 queen size beds. Both bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower. There is a washer and dryer available for our guests to use.

The middle floor has a fully equipped kitchen and a living area with a 42 inch flat screen TV with cable & WiFi and a gas fireplace. The dining area is near the kitchen where you can share meals & visit with each other. The outdoor deck has a gas BBQ and seating. There is also a third bedroom with a double bed & an adjacent bathroom with a shower on this level.

On the lower floor there is a large family room with 3 sofas, a flat screen TV and wall to wall sliding glass doors that provide easy access to the beach. It’s a quiet place to read, relax or watch TV.

There are often sightings of dolphins, whales, seals, pelicans diving for fish & migrating birds. You can enjoy collecting seashells on one of Santa Cruz County’s longest semiprivate beaches and take walks on the sand while enjoying the ocean. Some guests enjoy building a fire & roasting marshmallows on the beach while listening to the waves pound against the shore.

It’s a very special beach home with a real home feeling & original artwork created by the owner. We hope you come & enjoy this magical place with your family and friends!

The views of the ocean were amazing. Cannot beat sleeping and relaxing to the sounds of the waves. The most calming and soothing to the soul.The condo was clean, well equipped and spacious for 8 of us ladies. It was GREAT and will definitely book it again.

Beachfront Bliss!

We just returned from a week at Seaclusion, a beachfront three story townhome on La Selva Beach. During our weeklong stay, we had between 3-7 people staying in the three-bedroom home and there was ample room for all of us. I do wish that the bottom floor had a bed for extra sleeping capacity, as the way it’s set up as an additional living room was kind of wasted space for our family. Other than using that door to go in and out of when heading to the beach, we barely ended up using that room. On the night where we had the majority of our guests there together, we did set up a queen size air bed down there and found that there was plenty of room for that. The other three bedrooms were comfortable, though our guests that stayed in the small bedroom behind the kitchen commented that that room felt a bit claustrophobic to them, with the brown craft paper lined walls and no window. Additionally, that bedroom does not have a closet, though the hooks on the walls were helpful for hanging up clothes. One thing to note is that while linens were provided for the beds, none of them had blankets on them (Just a sheet and thin bedspread), and we could not find blankets anywhere in the home. Fortunately, my son joined us two days into our trip and I had him bring blankets with him. The bathrooms in the home are nice and updated and a good supply of white towels are provided. One thing to note is that the upstairs shower has extremely strong water pressure, which cannot be adjusted. It didn’t really bother me, but my husband and teen daughter were not fans of the very strong spray. The kitchen is small, but efficient, and all of the appliances work well. There are plenty of dishes and glasses, though it would be nice if there were more serving pieces, like platters and large bowls for salads and side dishes. We also could not find a cookie sheet and resorted to bakng in the broiler pan. The outdoor grill works well and we used that several times. The second floor living room has comfortable furniture, though we did feel that the white couches and shag carpeting throughout could use a good deep cleaning. The beachfront location of this home is amazing, with miles of sand in both directions for long walks or runs. Watching dolphins from the second floor balcony and having evening bonfires on the beach are highlights for us! Mark is very responsive and easy to communicate with and answers questions in a timely manner.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a very nice condo with comfortable beds, two nice bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. With ocean views and direct access to the beach it is the perfect place to stay in the Santa Cruz area. We are looking forward to returning!

Heaven!

Our stay was such fun! My sister and sister-in-law joined me for a sister’s reunion. It was so relaxing. The view from any room is spectacular. So convenient to everything - Watsonville to Santa Cruz and beyond. And the management & owner so informative, kind and thoughtful. Highly recommend this wonderful home.

A perfect getaway on the ocean

A beautiful place to get away and unwind at the beach. I have stayed in a house like this before when my friend owned one and it brought back such incredible memories. If you love to stroll on the beach with hardly anyone around this is your place to get away and unwind. The house was clean had all the appropriate amenities and was perfect. Can’t wait to book again.

Very nice spot

The location can't be beat. Very roomy inside and nice to have two living areas. It wasn't as clean as we expected for the housekeeping fee and the enormous deposit we had to put down. I probably wouldn't rent again because of the deposit which was kept over a month which means you actually have to pay that amount out to your credit card.

Great girls weekend away for birthday

We had a great time! Disappointed that there is no hot tub. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom on second floor needs work. Mold problem. The BBQ, chairs, etc were in great shape. We all really enjoyed our time in such a beautiful place. We will stay here again.

Wonderful beach vacation

We have a family reunion every year centered around our own condo in same complex as this one. So we're prejudiced! This is a wonderful way beach vacation. Walk down the stairs and on you're on a gorgeous uncrowded beach with great boogie boarding waves. Fall asleep watching and listening to the waves. Enjoy meals and relaxation while watching the sun go down over the ocean. What more could you want?

Quiet beach rental

Lovely property which seemed like we had our own private beach. There is no grocery shopping or restaurants close and we thought the rental had a hot tub but really enjoyed our stay, Beach towels, beach chair and beach toys were available. I could watch the kids on the beach from the porch. I would rent the property again.

Beach Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this ocean front home. You could hear and view the ocean from each of the 3 stories. It was nice to be able to have a space for the children to enjoy themselves as well as a separate space for the adults to mingle. We definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a cozy, spacious and comfortable place to enjoy a swmi private beach.

Gorgeous spot

Gorgeous spot. Comfortable beds. Beautiful house. The beach is gorgeous. The 2 queen beds had lots of sand and hairs in both beds… I don’t know that they were changed. The other beds seemed clean though. The floors were really dirty. Definitely couldn’t go barefoot unless you want super brown, dirt, hair, sand on your feet. But everything else with the house was great. The last side note is that they were having red tide (not the fault of the owners of the VRBO obviously but it would be nice if they noted to watch for it) - we didn’t know what that was but talking to other locals on the beach they let us know it wasn’t safe to swim (but our kids were already in) and that it happens every year around this time (beginning of October). We had 3 out of 5 kids show symptoms after swimming. We pulled them out as soon as we were told (they were only in the water maybe 15 min!) but we didn’t know and wish we had. The property overall was great though and we enjoyed our stay. We loved being able to roast hotdogs and marshmallows on the beach. And the views are stunning. It is a great place to stay right on the water.

Bring firewood (Yule log)

Awesome view of the ocean , if you want a private beach this is the place to go , bring a box of Yule log and you can have a bonfire at night it’s awesome since it’s private they no one that bothers you and you can enjoy time with the family

The house has been recently renovated, and contains unique, original art that has been created by the owner.

I'm a lover of the wondrous ocean. Every time I'm at our beautiful home and go out on the deck to see the spectacular view of the water, I'm always amazed.

The sunsets are breathtakingly beautiful. Many people use this time of day to build a bon- fire which are legal at our semi private beach, have an outdoor picnic and roast marshmallows..

It a unique place to live, enjoy, connect, explore and relax..
