'Creekside' is a real and authentic log cabin that is located just a few minutes outside of Boone, just minutes from the Blue Ridge Pkwy, and is situated in a postcard like setting with nearly 1/2 mile of stocked trout stream that runs directly behind the cabin. If you are looking for a streamside cabin you will not find a better location anywhere. The relaxing sound of the rushing stream and waterfalls can be heard throughout the property, and there is abundant wildlife including trout, deer, turkey, fox, beavers and birds. 'Creekside' has a Beautiful BRAND NEW private hot tub on deck overlooking the stream, gas fireplace, gas grill, sat TV & queen bed, full kitchen, with brand new appliances full bath, & a pullout couch that sleeps 2 additional people .We also another cabin on the property which can be rented either together or individually which makes this property ideal for anything from a romantic weekend or honeymoon to a large family or multi family vacation. We are dog friendly .
There are many activities available with excellent fishing, hiking, picnicing, and campfires available on the property. Horseback riding is just 10 minutes away at nationally known Leatherwood Stables. Boone is a short 15-20 minute drive, and Blowing Rock is a 30 minute drive both of which provide excellent dining, shopping, and antiquing. Other local activities include golf, cave exploration, whitewater rafting, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, ASU football, hunting, mountain biking, tubing, gem mines, and downhill skiing. Please remember you are staying at a real life cabin in the woods . WiFi may be spotty .

The cabin was very cozy! We particularly enjoyed the fireplace! My dog enjoyed the yard. I appreciated the details such as dog bowl, ball, blankets, and potty bags!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is charming and had all amenities we needed for a relaxing few days in the mountains. It is a beautiful scenic drive to get to the nearby towns. We especially enjoyed visiting Blowing Rock and West Jefferson. The creek was lovely.

The cabin and stream are beautiful.We really enjoyed sleeping with the windows opened and listening to the gurgulling water at night.Jackie is a great host and the checkin/check out process was seamless.Looking forward to returning!

We enjoyed this log cabin in the woods. Great location that was far enough from the mainstream but close enough to drive into town. Amenities were great, as expected.

Lovely little cabin. Would be nice to have a larger back porch with screen since the creek and a small waterfall is so beautiful to look at and enjoy the sound. Inner tubes were in the basement with the laundry so we enjoyed a float on the creek.

Relaxing Getaway!

A perfect setting to get away from it all. While it was remote, it was only a short drive to grocery stores, shopping and restaurants. Will definitely visit again - our hosts were wonderful.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway

Absolutely beautiful little mountain getaway. The location and scenery is so peaceful and relaxing. The cabin had everything we needed. Absolutely loved having the creek behind the house. We could listen to that all day! Hot tub was a nice amenity in the evenings also! Will definitely be back to enjoy.

Wonderful

Just the two of us and what a location. The creek is so nice, fire by the water, excluded location but still a short drive to Boone. The place is small but very charming, perfect for a romantic trip.

We ejoyed the calm and quiet.

We like the cabin ,the location, the trout stream. We did not enjoy it being in a curve on a gravel dry road ,the dust was very heavy,and covered everything. I'm sorry ,but it is the truth.

Perfect Weekend!

My husband and I have two young children and were in need of a peaceful, adult weekend with one another. This cabin was perfect! Very well maintained, beautiful setting, and clean! Only negative was the strong sulfer smell of the water. However, it wasn’t that big of a deal to us. We have already recommended this place to another couple!

Great retreat

We had a great weekend. The cabin was clean and well stocked. Hot tub was on point. Check in instructions could have been better given there is no cell service around the cabin. The cabin is not as private as it seems. One night we had fairly loud neighbors. Overall a great stay, would recommend.

Pleasant cabin

Overall I loved the cabin. My only issue was w the outside property which was over grown and had tractor tracks running thru it. It was mowed somewhat haphazardly a few days later. The cabin was clean, the grill was wonderful to have and i loved the view from the deck. The bed was comfy. I am older so i was surprised by all the steps and the deep step down to deck and into cellar where laundry was. I suggest you post a sign .

Needs a little work

Outside lights on steps didnt work, back deck lights barely worked, hot tub didnt have enough water to cover the jets so we didnt use it. Cleaning fee is to high when you have to clean before u leave.

Nice cabin on creek

Beautiful cabin on the creek. Clean and had all you needed. Comfy and great location. Minutes from West Jefferson and Boone/Blowing Rock. Food Lion not far. Only issue we had was we didn’t notice the refrigerator wasn’t working until the next day. Had to throw out some things as it was awhile before I could get in contact with anyone. Phon windows the cabin never worked. Finally was able to get a text to housekeeping and was told they would try to get maintenance out there to work on it when he came to do some type of Maintenance on the canine next door, but no one came. I was told by management that there was a spare fridge in the basement, and there was, kinda dirty but we were able to keep what food we brought cold in it. Very inconvenient to have to go outside and down a flight of steps to the basement to get drinks and gather all our food for breakfast and dinners, especially when it was raining out a couple times. I was eventually told the refrigerator was going to be replaced due to be under warranty but it would be on June 13th, we would be gone on the 8th. We made do, enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend housekeeping check all refrigerators before any visitors were to arrive. Hot tub was nice, seemed to have too much chlorine in it. Our eyes burned badly and only a couple jets worked, we kept sharing them.
