This beautiful and charming hand hewn stone house was built in 1890, soaring 11' ceilings, beaded board and original pine floors will take you back in time. Located just one block from Marktplatz and prime shopping and dining on Main street, Fred Haus is the perfect place for you to just park your car and be able to stroll Main Street. The bedroom features a king sized bed complete with luxury bed linens for a restful night's sleep. All the comforts of home are provided for your getaway including a large fully equipped kitchen, clawfoot tub w/shower for a relaxing soak, ceiling fans, front porch w/rockers, fenced yard and off street parking in the deep driveway behind the house, and a hot tub for your relaxation after a fabulous day spent in the Burg! If you are looking for a compound that will sleep up to 4 Adams Travis House sits right next door to Fred Haus, rent both for a couples weekend, Friend's getaway or girls retreat!

Please Note: You are renting a cabin in the Hill Country which means you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Racoons, ETC) Please be aware of your surroundings, and take caution while driving at night. You may also encounter the various bugs, spiders, scorpions and mice that live in the country AND sometimes do make their way inside. All properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee no pests or bugs will not be visible.

- Maximum pet weight is 60lbs.
- Quiet Time is from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am, per City Ordinance
- If we are called due to complaints violating Quiet Time:
1st Offense will result in a $250 fine.
2nd Offense will result in a $500 fine.
If police are called, you are responsible for any fines or fees issued with the citation or warning. If police are called there will be a $500 fine, even if no citation is issued.

Excellent Stay!

The Fred Haus was perfect for us, so cozy and comfortable and the location was perfect. Two blocks from Main Street made walking easy. We loved relaxing in the hot tub each evening after days of shopping and enjoying the wonderful restaurants. This house was a great find, and we will definitely stay again if visiting the area!

Loved the location, cleanliness and the historic house itself and that it was pet friendly . The shower situation was a bit tough to navigate and the yards outside definitely needed some attention. That being said, we would stay here again.

Fred Haus

House was great. Location was great. What is labeled as a shower is a joke, ha. Like literally laughable. There is no way any normal size person can shower inside that tub. Additionally, water wound up all over the bathroom when I tried the shower the 1st night. It was also quite dangerous. Afterwards, we took baths. I won't stay here again because I prefer showers. The fact that the listing includes a shower as an option is really bad information. If you've not personally seen what I am speaking of, you should look at it for yourself

Everything was great. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was really low. But, otherwise, cute place and perfect location for walking on Main St.

The property was located close to main, making it easy to access shopping and restaurants. It also has a pet friendly policy which made it possible for us to stay there. The property manager was very accommodating and helpful.

A Lovely Stay

The house is darling with the decor matching the rustic German style. Perfect all around. Plenty of room, comfy bed, and great location. Maintained very well. We hope to stay there again on our next trip to Fredericksburg.

Clean, great location to walk downtown Fredericksburg. The fenced dog proof yard and hot tub made this place perfect! Loved all the old furnishings and it felt like a true get away

Fredericksburg Getaway

Wonderful home away from home at Fred Haus! Great location for easy access both walking/driving for visiting wineries/shopping or just hanging out. Our dogs loved it too - felt secure, welcomed and a wonderful 4 days was had by all. Definitely will come again!

Nice place very close to Main Street

This cute little house was perfect for a get away weekend. It was close enough to Main St. that we could walk pretty much anywhere. It had all the amenities and the hot tub was a big plus. We would definitely stay here again.
