This magical, private OCEANFRONT home is not only featured on the cover of both “Better Homes and Gardens Quick and Easy Decorating” and “Second Home” magazine, it is THE CLOSEST house to the Atlantic Ocean on Amelia Island.
Oceanfront Home, so close you can touch the water!!

Our 1924 luxuriously appointed and professionally decorated beach house has all living accommodations on one floor and our lower beach level deck features a large, private hot and cold shower, Adirondack chairs, hammock and lots of space for breezy lounging. The three bedrooms comfortably sleep six and we are so excited about the new soaking tub and spacious/ gorgeous new walk-in shower in our beautifully renovated completely stocked bathroom. Our dining room and sun porch invite meals and lounging with ocean views through the panoramic windows. The kitchen offers you all you need for in home meal preparation and the living room is super comfortable. The house has ocean views all over because the ocean is in the back yard, located on the wonderfully quiet and pristine Amelia Island. Everything is provided from linens and bath towels, beach towels and chairs; plus so much more. Visit our home for a week and you may find yourself wanting to stay a month.

Beaching Amenities - located on the lower deck of the house.
The beach chairs, coolers, beach umbrella AND NOW 3 bikes!!! are located in the new closet next to the shower room. There is also a chest full of beach toys located next to the closet on this level. This lower deck has a hammock and Adirondack chairs for cooling down and breezy lounging. The shower on this lower level is private and very spacious.

There is also a full laundry room to wash and dry your clothes as needed.

This lovely beach house not only soothes the soul, it is fully equipped for every need to enjoy your stay.

Amelia Island Amenities - Amelia Island is 'the' place to be. We are known as one of the top ten beaches in the world! We are a small island but we are full of lots to do. Not only do we have our share of five star restaurants, we have some of the best golf courses in the world.

Beautiful Beachfront Property

This lovely home is literally right on the beach with amazing views of the ocean. Great proximity to shops, restaurants, etc. Property owners were gracious and responsive.

Best location

We had another lovely stay at Healing House! This place has become so special to our family and is now a summer tradition. The owners have done a wonderful job updating this amazing home. You absolutely cannot find a better location. Our 3 children talk about this trip all year and count the days until our next visit. It is absolutely perfect!

Truly the healing house. Best view. Best location. Gorgeous interior but leaning toward comfort. All amenities you'll need. Wish it had 2 bathrooms....but otherwise it is perfect!

Girlfriends with kids getaway

This was my second time staying at this lovely home. Every detail is well thought out from the fact that while you’re showering, you can still see the kids playing in the ocean to the hammock downstairs so that when you’re having your morning coffee, you can lay and relax and listen to the waves. I walked the beach each morning for an hour just before and at sunrise. It was the most magical time! I even saw a sea turtle nest before any human had ever seen it. It was so incredible. I was able to see the tracks and find the nest before the sun even rose. On my way back to the house, the volunteers had come and found it and were marking it. They said it was third best of season. I saw deer tracks and pellets one morning walk and a bunny in dunes behind cottage. I could not have enjoyed myself more and our children made the downstairs hammock area their playground. I wish I could live here every day. Thank you for sharing your home.

Lovely and welcoming space

The location of this property is incredible. You have an unobstructed, beautiful view of the ocean from the indoor and outdoor spaces. Steps to the beach! The property itself is spotless. Clearly, great care has been taken to create a lovely and welcoming space.

Here Comes the Sun!

This beautiful cottage was the perfect place for five friends to celebrate 60 years of life, and over 50 years of friendship. The decor of the place is lovely, and the location can’t be beat - the ocean is right out the back door! We got up early each morning, made our coffee, and headed to the beach to watch the sun rise. One morning we were lucky enough to see three dolphins playing in the water! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful beach experience. The home is clean, beautifully appointed, and in a great location. Restaurants are just a short walk away, and the quaint downtown area (with great shopping) can be reached in minutes by car. Quite honestly, this place is the perfect “home away from home!”

Wonderful family getaway

We loved our time at the Healing House! The location can’t be beat- we had a toddler and an infant, and were able to conveniently run back to the house from the beach as needed. The property is gorgeous and the soaking tub was so relaxing! We were also able to fit our travel crib in the main bedroom comfortably, something we’re not always able to do. There are tons of beach toys, coffee, and all the amenities one would need for an excellent vacation. Thanks to the owners for a smooth check in process and wonderful stay!

Relaxing week on Amelia Island

This home is in an ideal location, close to Fort Clinch State Park and plenty of dining and shopping options within just a few miles. The house sits back from the road just a bit, which made it so quiet and peaceful compared with other homes we've rented in this area. The owners have been very thoughtful in equipping the home with extra amenities that are usually not provided to renters. Bed linens, bath towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, soap, laundry detergent and DVDs were all provided for our use. We even had to use the first aid kit and were so pleasantly surprised to see it was fully stocked with no expired items. The kitchen is also well-equipped. It would be nice to have one empty cabinet for renters to store groceries but that was the only minor inconvenience. The owners communicated well with us and made check-in so easy. The home is right on the beach and we found many shark teeth during our stay. The home was spotless except for the shower, which could use a good scrubbing. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. We will definitely plan to return next time we visit Amelia Island!

Wonderful & relaxing

This was our first family vacation.This house was not only beautiful, but It felt relaxing & like home. The beds were comfortable & we slept great. The proximity to the store, things to do & places to eat was fantastic. Loved that the beach was right out the door which makes it so easy, especially if it starts to rain. Low tide was our favorite in the evenings, it turns into a giant splash pad. My only suggestion to anyone coming, is to pack water shoes that would have made the Shelly beach easier to navigate, especially for the kids. It’s absolutely beautiful. Shells galore & we even found some shark teeth. Owners were amazing & quick to respond to messages & questions. We loved downtown & on Saturdays they have a wonderful farmers market. You definitely won’t regret your stay here. We will definitely come back in the future. Thanks so much for having us. It was a great way to honor my Mom’s life on her one year anniversary in Heaven.

Spring Rest

We went for a few days relaxation from work and altho it rained everyday we thoroughly enjoyed the lovely home. Got to the beach once for about 10 minutes between downpours and found a shark tooth and 2 lovely conch shells!

Great Location with charm

Great location. Easy access to beach. Perfect view from the deck. Back from the road enough that it is quiet during the day and very quiet at night. Short drive to downtown shops and restaurants. Several very good restaurants less than 5 minutes away. Cozy interior, nicely decorated. Good quality linens and towels. Recently updated bathroom. Well equipped kitchen.

Beautiful historic peaceful

We have stayed here many times. The new owners have upgraded the property significantly. Great for a couple but with one bathroom might be difficult with a bigger group. Feels, looks and is perfect.

Lovely home close to water

Just steps from the beach, the house is lovely. Only 1 bathroom but that has never been a problem for us. The new owners are fabulous to work with!

Just What We Needed

We have stayed in this charming, beautiful, amazing house several times over the years, and it is always just what we need. It is so peaceful and relaxing with perfect views and walking distance to the beach. A private path leads you right to the water. If you like walks on the beach and picking up shells, this is the place for you. If it is to warm or windy on the upstairs deck, there is a wonderful space down below for sitting, reading and napping, and you can still see the ocean. There are rockers, chairs and a hammock there. The house is very well appointed inside with all the supplies you need for your stay. When we are inside our favorite spot is the sun porch overlooking the ocean. We love to take a jigsaw puzzle and set it up on the table there. The house is also in such a central location for shopping, eating, sigh seeing and grocery shopping. Book the Healing House! You will not regret it.

Cozy, Quaint and Relaxing

This cottage is a feast for the eyes. The decor is so delicious and inviting. We had everything we needed for our short stay. The views are magnificent and it felt very private despite neighboring homes being close by. Walks along the ocean were so peaceful. Ariane was quick to respond to questions and was the consummate host. Other than the claw tooth tub being a challenge for my husband who has knee issues we could not have had a better vacation!

Beautiful and peaceful beach getaway

The Healing House is a cozy cottage right on the beach. It was perfect for the two of us and came with everything we needed. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises from the deck and nice walks on the beach. It's a quiet location and within minutes of shops and restaurants downtown and the very interesting Fort Clinch state park. We were able to ride our bikes to most places which really helped with parking downtown. We enjoyed our time and look forward to returning.

Beautiful, idyllic, perfect!

This house by the sea was amazing! Beautifully decorated, comforting and soothing for the soul. The view of the ever changing ocean was spectacular. Immaculate, well equipped kitchen and just a fabulous stay. Was sad to leave, would love to return. Restorative on all levels. Ariane, so quick to respond to our needs. Birthday trip for Mom

We've stayed at this beautiful home a few times in the past with the previous homeowners. It is still as lovely as ever. You couldn't ask for a better location nor a home with more character. It was stocked with everything one could possibly need, and the welcome gifts were a gracious touch. The only negative is the clawfoot tub is difficult for some elderly guests to navigate (but there is a grab bar on the wall.) Just keep that in mind if your party includes them. Otherwise the house is simply perfection on the beach! We will be back.

Mark and I love this picture as it was taken in Fernandina Beach about 8 years ago now when we were really enjoying everything about Amelia Island. We decided to buy our beautiful home on Amelia Island because this wonderful place has always brought good times for us. We began our expeditions to Amelia Island as resident medical doctors in 1999, looking for a vacation get away and landed only a few blocks north of our current home to enjoy all that Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island has to offer. We fell in love with the historic community of Fernandina Beach. We are so happy to share Amelia Island and the wonderful town of Fernandina Beach with our Guests. Everything about this whole place is magical. Enjoy!
