Come stay at our newly renovated Island Cottage. The property is well equipped for your stay: 4 bedrooms, 2 baths and 3 amazing decks to either sunbath on or watch the sunset while the kids play. Located just a short 4 minute Walk to beach it’s an ideal location to escape normal life. The property is located on Duneside drive on Ocean Isle beach, it’s on a tidal canal property with plenty of wild life to watch while drinking your morning coffee.

The property is a true cottage with around 1200 square feet inside and 3 amazing decks a floating dock to launch canoes or paddle boards and more. We provide 2 adult kayaks, 2 childrens kayaks all with vests, as well as 8 beach chairs, multiples umbrellas and a wagon to help carry it to the sand.

The property is supplied with all basic linens and bath towels. We start you out with a toilet paper, paper towels as well as dishwasher tablets and soap but it will not last your whole trip and therefore our guests need to plan accordingly.

We have 2 coffee makers: a Nespresso Vertuo complete with a milk frother. We provide a few pods to get you started but more pods can be purchased at target or Walmart, we also provide a drip coffee maker if you prefer to make your own. If you prefer not to drink coffee we also have an electric kettle for your tea or any other warm drink you choose.

Great little house

Perfect Getaway

We enjoyed our trip to OIB during Spring Break and found the house, location and communication with Meagen to be top notch! The house has a beautiful aesthetic with amazing views and everything you might need for a break away from the norm. The location is direct to the beach in a beautiful section of OIB. We loved it and our teenage girls got the best pictures as well :)

Family OIB Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The home is very cute, comfortable, and has been updated to maximize function as well as attractiveness. We especially appreciated that there were multiple spots planned for dining as well as outdoor relaxation. The house is walking distance to shop/ice cream/mini golf, has easy access to the beach, and was a perfect location for launching our fishing kayaks. We recommend!

Wonderful Cozy, Canal Cottage

We loved our stay at this wonderful cozy, canal cottage. It is well appointed and beautifully furnished. Our kids loved fishing off the dock while we sipped our coffee on the decks. Beach access is a quick 4 minute-straight shot made easy by the wagon the owners provided. Love OIB and hope to stay again in the future!

Wonderful family beach vacation!

This was our 5th summer in OIB and we enjoyed this cottage so much and highly recommend! It's on a very quiet street and only a 4-minute walk to the beach. There are so many special touches which made it so welcoming for my family of 7. Everything is updated and the beds were extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio on the second floor, especially seeing the sunset out there. It was so convenient that Meagan has a storage with all kinds of beach gear (e.g. wagon, umbrellas, chairs, kayaks). We look forward to staying here again!

Exactly As Described

This was our first experience with a vacation rental that didn’t include a rental office. We followed all our friends advise on the do’s and don’t’s in our research, and still I was concerned about the process. I now can say that it was great. Everything was exactly as described and the house manager, Meagan, was easy to contact to ask questions. The cottage was decorated with lots comfortable furnishings making it a very relaxing place to hang out after a day at the beach. It was so nice not having to bring all the linens with us, and the quality of the towels and sheets provided was that of a top rated hotel. Overall our stay at the cottage was very enjoyable and a place we would easily recommend to our friends and family.

Stunning and Funning!

This property was perfect for our blended family. We had the perfect amount of space to relax, a dock to fish off, and during low tide, watching the animals was the coolest experience ever! The home was tidy, clean, and organized. Sweetest host, as well! Would definitely recommend and stay again!!

Fantastic

Our family loved our stay at the cottage. The home was exactly as advertised, nicely updated and well appointed. I was a bit worried about the proximity to the beach with our small children, but there is a beach access with dedicated golf cart parking nearby that worked out great. The porch was perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or sunset over Jinx creek, with the family. The only complaint is the spiral staircase leading up to the sun porch was dangerous for our toddlers. We had to get creative trying to block off access. Definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Amazing Long Weekend

This property is just amazing. We had such a restful stay, in an extremely comfortable, well-appointed environment. The host was very easy to contact, and responsive. Loved it, and we will definitely come back!

The Cousins

The house was perfect for our party of 8. We enjoyed breakfast on the sunny deck and then a short walk to the beach for a morning stroll. Plenty of bikes, beach chairs and a wagon were provided. We all gathered around the wonderful kitchen to prepare meals. Everything we needed was there. Our favorite place to relax was gathering for evening cocktails on the upper deck. We would highly recommend staying at 31 Duneside Dr!

Family Wedding

We were at OIB to attend a family wedding. Needed a place close to wedding events. This was perfect and met all our needs. Love the updates/decor, layout and accommodations. Bikes and kayaks were great to have access to! Communication with host was also great. Definitely a gem!!

Fantastic Thanksgiving Visit to OIB!

We had a wonderful visit with family over Thanksgiving and this house was perfect for our stay! It was very clean and super cozy with everything we needed. The views are gorgeous and I enjoyed coffee on the porch each morning. When the weather cleared, we spent time just sitting on the dock and then watching the sunset from the top deck. It was a quick walk to the beach and the kids loved the Wii during the rainy days. We definitely plan to return!

Canal-Side Paradise!

This house is beautiful, well-apportioned, and perfectly situated for a beautiful island stay! We loved coffee on the deck overlooking Jink’s Creek, cocktails watching the sunset, and exploring the island all hours in between. Highly recommended for your OIB stay!

Outside deck was breathtaking and a family favorite spot to enjoy reading or having a meal.

Great weekend. Perfect location. Easy walk to the beach. Relaxing kayaking. Fun ocean decor in a comfortable house. Great views and time spent on the balconies. Plan to return to this special place.

Great beach get away!

Our family of 5 adults and one child had a fabulous vacation at the house. It's such a short walk to the beach and also so enjoyable to relax on the decks and dock at the house. Our only (and very major) complaint is that the house was barely stocked with very basic staples. We assumed (incorrectly) that there were extra rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. Upon contacting the property manager we were told they "can't provide everything for your stay". Also that "it clearly states in the listing all items that are provided". I've rented many places over many years and have never NOT been provided essentials such as tp, paper towels, garbage bags! I've never seen a listing that said to bring your own toilet paper! After all, how much do a few rolls of tp cost? Especially with all the fees and charges added to the high season cost of renting the house. This was such shame because everything else about the house was wonderful.

We had a great experience. The beach house is adorable. It has been recently remodeled and the layout of the house is great. I loved the location of this house. It is located on a very quiet street so it is perfect for riding bikes. The walk to the beach is very short too. When we first arrived, the refrigerator was not cooling well so we notified the host. She had a new one delivered the next day and drove 3 hours from her her home to oversee the process. She moved our food from one refrigerator to the next and was so sweet and attentive. I can’t say enough about this house. We had a great time and hope to return next year.

This house looked like it was redone by the famous couple. It is well equipped and comfortable. Lovely covered porch for enjoying your morning coffee with beautiful views of intercostal waterways. Small but sufficient for our family of 5.

Wonderful Getaway!

This property, located on Jinx Creek, is peaceful and perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking. The house is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and stocked with all the essentials and more! The host was easy to communicate with and even left a welcome gift 🎁. Our stay was so enjoyable! Thank you!

Beach weekend

We had a lovely trip at a beautiful home. Very well decorated and all the amenities you could ask for. As we we’re from out of town, we very much appreciated all the beach gear available for use - chairs, umbrella and even corn hole.
