Enjoy the one-story convenience of this oceanfront four-bedroom home in the privately gated West End. For your convenience and extra sleeping space, there is a queen sofa bed in the living area. Parks-Lowder has central heat and air, a dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, ice maker, cable TV, VCR, wireless internet access, and telephone. Other amenities include an open and covered porch, an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water, an enclosed garage, a gazebo, and a private walkway to the beach with a sundeck.

Great anniversary weekend at the Beach!

We enjoyed chilling at the beach this Martin Luther King weekend. We celebrated our anniversary there. Even though we had 2 days of rain we had 2 days of cold but great walking weather along the shoreline. Perfect location!

Wonderful and Cozy

This property is great! The house was just as expected and they had everything needed to host a larger number of people, we were so happy with the home. Being right on the beach was so nice and accessible! Host's directions were great.

Great Location

This property is in a great location with direct access to the beach. it is well appointed and is true to the listing. We did find several live bugs in the property during our stay. Overall we had a very good, relaxing stay.

Just OK

Simply not a well cared for home. I am sure the owners love the shabbiness/beachy home, but care should be given to assure your renters feel the same way. We dealt with a roach infestation, broken cabinet doors and broken legs on dining chairs as well as exposed, rusty nails on the walkway to the beach. I would be surprised if there were any return renters.

Pretty good home

The home has been refurbished and is overall clean. The furniture is quite worn but you can use pillows. The walk to beach is not for elderly or handicapped family members.

Girls weekend

Stayed here with some girlfriends. We had a wonderful time. Kitchen was very well stocked.

The best

Our large family of 7 children couldn’t have been happier. We had a tropical storm during our stay and the house was a huge comfort. We loved the access to the beach, the wash station, and the layout of the house. We couldn’t say enough. The only thing is we couldn’t use the pack n play there as it looked like the last guests child threw up in it and it was dirty. Other than that, everything was perfect!!! Thank you!!!

Great

Great house for extended family stay. Loved being all on one level. Enjoyed the pavilion but not all the steps in the walkway to the beach.

Pleased!

We enjoyed our stay. The house had lots of beds and space for our group. Having the garage for parking was a huge plus! The house had a few maintenance issues but Vacasa was exceptional meeting our needs in a timely manner. I would definitely stay again.

Beach house review

Enjoyed the living area and outdoor sink for shell washing. Would not recommend for really young children due to all the stairs leading to beach and the lack of permanent latching gate on deck at top of stairs leading to garage.

Multi Family Trip

We loved the floor plan for two families. There were two bedrooms and a bath on each side of the main living space so that each individual family shared a side and a bathroom but had plenty of room to spread out watch movies and play games at the dining table and living room. We cooked and ate in with no problems. We had a total of 8 between two families and the space was great. We had a great time and this house was perfect backdrop. Vacasa was very responsive and great to work with.

Diamond in the rough

We absolutely loved our stay here. House was very nice. Only thing that could be upgraded is the outside furniture, we brought our own chairs and so glad we did because the rockers were not safe one was already broken when we got there so we never sat in them. I think the salt air really got to the wooden rockers. It wasn’t really a big deal to us but to some it may be a big deal. Loved having your own private walkway to the beach. Would book again next year however it is double the price. House does have washer and dryer however we never found it or knew how to access the locks to get to it, not a big deal. Bed was not very comfortable for us think that could be upgraded as well. None of these issues would keep us from renting again just want to make owners aware of things that could be better. Great location and lovely home.

Place was nice had a nice TV in living room but no remote for TV called rental place twice never got a remote or call back from them which would of been nice to have one since it had rained all day

Updated Sept 22'

The boardwalk has been repaired & is in great shape (all the houses around have long boardwalks). The carpet & tile is gone & replaced with a nice vinyl/laminate throughout. Updated appliances. This was not our initial booking as we were transferred last minute (so not sure if this property was being rented out previously). The showerhouse is being repaired & currently not working. Just missing the spigots & electric running to it. Lots of beach stuff & charcoal grill in garage with updated washer & dryer. Outdoor lighting in back needs looked at. The house is small, clean, & quaint. (1960's/70's build my guess). Shells galore! Overall a very nice experience for 2 guests. Almost 4 stars.

Parks Lowder

New walkway to the beach is awesome. All carpet is gone and the house smelled clean. The main drawback is that there is no water source or outdoor shower on the ocean side of the house due to the new walkway to the beach. Vacasa did try to help us with this.

Just OK, not for small kids or long stays

We stayed for a week with my husband and I and our 4 small kids. There were plenty of beds and seating, furniture in great condition. However, just a few hours into being there we saw a few roaches and that cleaning hadn't been done well. Vacasa responded really quickly and was really helpful. The boardwalk was our main issue. It doesn't extend all the way to the beach so the last stretch is overgrown and unkempt on sand. The boardwalk itself if also in need of repairs. Wobbly boards, nails sticking up, sharp plants growing over the walk way. Our kids got several splinters walking on it and had several close calls with exposed nails. I definitely don't think it's been maintained well and is unsafe at parts. Overall, I would say this place is good for a shorter stay if you have older kids and adults who can watch where they're walking. I don't think we would stay in this house again, but as I said vacasa was really helpful with our issues so we would definitely book with them again.

Deck needs lot of work. Kitchen cabinets peeling and that is the first impression when u walk in. Table is bubbled up all over. Sand covered the outside shower area and needed to be cleaned. The walkway sand area needs to be cut back as one of the plants cut my mom's leg. The layout of the house eas good and living room furniture an a plus

Advantages and disadvantages

The property is showing its age. The deck and walkway to the beach are in kind of rough shape. I would be cautious about walking on the deck in bare feet. The wood is very rough. If you are a single family with lots of kids, and you're not looking for top notch condition, it would be a bargain with one king bed, 6 double beds and 2 singles. If you are a group of adults(which for the most part we were) you will probably have people not happy with a double bed. I have to choose whether I want to lay with my head hanging off or my feet hanging off. The living room is comfortable. Probably won't rent it again.

Very Disappointing

This home is in need of serious maintenance. The first thing we noticed when we entered the home was the horrible smell of mold , mildew, and dog urine. The kitchen cabinets were dirty and falling apart, with the panel in front of the kitchen sink missing and veneer peeling off the front of the drawers. Electric outlets on one wall in the living room are detached and exposing the electric box. HVAC vents are rusted and bent; one in the kitchen was duct taped to the floor. Carpet is ripped and missing in the entryway to one of the bedrooms, and most of the furniture is beat up and falling apart. The dining room table top is bubbled and peeling off, and the legs of two of the chairs were literally falling off and will collapse if anyone sits on them. The shower door in one of bathrooms is off the track and won’t open or close, the outlets in both bathrooms don’t work. The rear deck needs replaced; there are loose boards, nails sticking up, trip hazards on the walkway. The ceiling has water damage and drooping in spots where water has leaked. I would definitely not recommend this home and felt I overpaid. I’m surprised it met Vacasa standards. I called Vacasa on arrival and expressed all concerns; was told by the representative that they would enter a “ticket” and that I would be contacted by the local management company but no one called me back. On the positive, the living room couch and recliners were very nice as well as the flat screen TV.

Comfy Seating

The house had a nice layout, especially the seating area in the living room. Everyone could put their feet up! Large table and kitchen had mostly everything we needed. Liked the garage to keep cars, bikes and beach stuff safe and dry. Nice beach area. Not a lot of people and nice walks to end of island.
