The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the hot tub! There was plenty of space for everyone and we enjoyed the beach which was a close walk! Overall a great place for our family gathering!

Cleanliness and the state of repairs in progress were a huge turn off. The property description lead me to believe there was a lit pathway to the beach. In reality there was a lit path that lead to an unconstructed bridge to the driveway (hazardous), an open framework with no top on which to walk.Windows were dirtyAll ceiling fans were caked with grime & dustTowels left in bedrooms were damp, bleach stained, and some were frayedCarpets in bedrooms were dirty and stainedAll return air vents were dirtyCountertops were covered in a filmy grimeCeiling fan in master bath did not workLamp in guest bedroom did not workFitted and top sheet in master bedroom had holes in them Open/unfinished hole in drywall behind TV in main floor living roomNo towel rack in 1/2 bathSeveral wall wall repairs in progress - spackled but not painted and wallpaper needed to be replaced or redone to accommodate the repair in progress Very disappointed in the condition of the home.

We are disappointed to read this review, particularly as we proactively contacted the guest during her stay to ask how everything was going and received no indication of concerns. We make ourselves readily available and would have welcomed the opportunity to address any issues promptly. While we recognize that certain cosmetic and maintenance details could have been improved, we do not believe this review accurately reflects the overall cleanliness or care of the property. We have nevertheless shared the feedback with our cleaning and maintenance teams. We would also like to clarify that our listing accurately describes beach access, including the need to cross Blue Star Highway. The structure referenced was not an unfinished bridge but a small platform being constructed following storm-related erosion that occurred shortly before the guest's stay and did not impede beach access. That work has since been completed. Prior to arrival, we also made a special effort to accommodate this group's interest in the fireplace, arranging for contractors to complete the installation of a replacement electric insert just before their stay. We genuinely regret that the experience did not meet this guest's expectations. We take pride in providing a comfortable, welcoming, and well-maintained home and remain committed to addressing concerns promptly when they are brought to our attention.

This was a great vacation for our family of 9. The hot tub was very clean, a perfect temperature and easy to use and maintain. The house was spacious with comfortable beds. The towels bleach out easily if used around the hot tub so be careful…. Also the towels aren’t very absorbent but they dry quickly in the dryer! All sleeping areas were either upstairs or downstairs which leaves plenty of room for the late nighters to have have the main floor available for fun and games. It was a short walk across the street to the beach but if you have young children beware the cars are going by fast so keep a close watch on dogs and kids. The beach area was wonderful, starts out shallow goes to chest high and then you hit a sandbar before it gets deep again….. perfect for playing in the water! The host provides lots of beach chairs, an umbrella for shade and several large inner tubes for water fun.It’s a great space for families, kids and dogs!

Great, easy-to-use hot tub.Baths and kitchen acceptably clean.BUTWe were plagued by fruit flies indoors and had to cover our drinks and couldn’t leave any food on the counter. Captured dozens with vinegar-soap trap but still had them flying in our faces.Sliding door to patio missing handle to get back in (Alerted owner.)No guidebook to the property and surrounding areas for sight seeing as one usually finds in a VRBO rental.Alerted owner that ice maker was broken. TV remotes downstairs had no batteries.Several light bulbs need replacing.Carpets badly need a deep cleaning.Something needed to distinguish last step on the landing and bottom of the stairs because they blend in visually making them dangerous.Sink sprayer broken.Loose molding in some rooms.The lake was beautiful but getting to it requires a steep walk down a sandy path after crossing a highway.

Family Christmas Getaway

We planned a Christmas getaway to Coloma, because it was a centrally located place between my home and my kids’. Sleeping accommodations were perfect. We loved the hottub. Beautiful location near Lake Michigan!

Lake Path Beach House was perfect for the 15 of us. Our family traveled from 7 states to our reunion in Michigan. The house had everything we needed and the location just a walk away from Lake Michigan delighted everyone. Thanks to the host who responded to our every need.

Exceptional stay with family.

The property was a perfect fit and location to accommodate our large family group, inside and out. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The living spaces and bedrooms were high standard and charming. The owners were wonderful to work with and friendly. This is a great place to stay.

A Lovely Time in a Lovely Place!

We loved the house, property, proximity to the beach and lake, and the Coloma area. We'd definitely have another yoga retreat here in the future! Everything was clean, easy, and accessible, which allowed a very relaxing stay. We are in love with this place! We highly recommend it!

Awesome family beach house

This is an amazing place to kick back and relax. Beautiful home with great beach access. The owners are quick to respond to any question or concern. We loved everything about our stay here!! Definitely will return.

Anniversary Celebration!

The house was great for all 15 of us that got together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.we all enjoyed the hot tub and the house was large enough that we didn't feel crowded. Nicely stocked kitchen and comfortable beds 😊

We had a wonderful stay for our girls’ weekend! The home is very inviting, tastefully decorated and has plenty of room. We enjoyed making our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and then dining on the beautiful deck. Just a quick jaunt and you can admire beautiful Lake Michigan and enjoy its glorious beach. Lots of neat shops to discover are just a short drive away. Upon your return, relax in the extra large and crystal clear hot tub! Our host was extremely accessible and communicated well from start to finish. Five stars all the way!!

This house was great for our families to stay in. The hot tub and deck were great. The short walk to the roadside park was perfect to get to the beach. We appreciated all the towels and beach chairs. The outdoor shower was a plus gor keeping sand out of the house! Ac worked great for the humid days!The main floor pull out was comfortable, the lower level pull out was unusable, so dont count on that as a place to sleep. Overall we loved our stay and would gladly stay again! Owner responded quickly which was great for any questions that came up!

Bachelorette Party

I hosted my friend’s bachelorette party at this property. Such a beautiful space and many rooms so everyone has somewhere to sleep. The little walk over to the lake is perfect, the hot tub is super well maintained and HUGE. Valerie was very responsive to my text messages about various things. Loved this experience and would recommend this house to anyone!

Absolutely stunning!

This house was perfect! It's such a beautiful, spacious home with the perfect location! I rented this house for my wedding weekend and everyone fell in love with it. The house was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The host was always very responsive and so kind! Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful home!!

Overall the property was nice, however walking into an 85 F house wasn't what we anticipated. Thankfully the first 2 days the outside temp allowed us to open windows and cool things down a bit, but every time we tried running the HVAC system it would start heating things up again. The owners did have a technician come out to see about a fix but since it was a holiday weekend procuring parts would be difficult. We were offered another place but it was too small to accommodate our needs. We realized the extenuating circumstances were aligned against an immediate fix, but also would have appreciated a larger refund (14% of just the lodging expense) than we received for our troubles.

Girls Trip!

Great location. Hot tub/deck area is amazing. Walkable to beach. Upon our arrival, noted broken front screen door, torn screens on front door and back sliding door, some missing light bulbs or non-working lights. We rented in the fall, so imagine the owners are coming off a busy summer rental season and will make necessary repairs. Well stocked kitchen. I would rent again!

Great property and location!

We stayed here to celebrate my 60th birthday. This was a great property and location! Our group was 11 adults and 3 small children and the space worked very well for us. The large deck and hot tub are amazing. A large well-stocked kitchen and plenty of living space. The beach is across the street and a very short walk. Beach is so nice and wasn’t crowded at all. Both St. Joseph (to the south) and South Haven (to the North) are only a short distance away for shopping and restaurants and more beaches. Had a very small issue at the house and the host was quick to respond and it was taken care of. We highly recommend this property!

Fantastic Family Getaway

We had a great family weekend visit at this beautiful home. Check in was quick and easy. It was spacious and clean and fit our group perfectly. We were celebrating my mom's 97th Birthday and this was comfortable for all of us. The hot tub was sparkling clean and huge. Perfect for the rainy day we had. The beach is across the street and easy to get to so we included some beach walks too. The house came equipped with everything we needed to cook a great breakfast and other meals. It was a bit cold but we managed to sit on the decks which have plenty of places to spread out. We enjoyed ourselves during our stay and I would recommend this house for a great vacation stay.
