Badin Lake- Uwharrie Cabin Getaway

Our family of six adults and four grandchildren enjoyed a relaxing getaway at this beautifully located cabin along the north end of Badin Lake. This spacious home had so much room for the family to spread out. Allowing the adults to relax and the grandkids to have fun on all three floors. Mornings and evenings were spent in the large Jacuzzi or in dining on the porch overlooking the lake. We also had a fire and S’mores a couple nights at the fire pit down by the lake. The location of home within a short drive of the Uwharrie National Forest and Morrow mountain State Park, was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet, enjoyable for walks, and the folks friendly. Shopping for our needs was a short 20 minute drive down to Richfield. The owner was nice and answered our questions, which were few. The family looks forward to coming again.

Second time stay

Overall enjoyed stay. Loved new hot tub. Only down side cleaning lady was there till 7 and check in was 4 but no real issue with us. Definitely highly recommend

Great spot for a big group

This was a great spot for our team to stay while we were in the area. There were plenty of things to do to keep everyone entertained. The house itself was very nice and well kept.

Wear your mittens…you’ll be okay

There for a weekend and was notified that one of the heating units was out, but we would be “okay”. Temperature on the main floor never got out of the low 60s(hanging out and watching a football game in our coats was not exactly what we had in mind). Was encouraged to light the gas fireplaces to provide some heat…they wouldn’t light! No consideration was offered when requested. Would not rent this property again.

Lake House

It had been a while since our family had vacationed together. We were eight adults and seven children and we had a blast at the lake house. All of us felt home right from the start and made some amazing memories of the five nights we spent there. Everything was clean and well prepared. The kitchen had everything that we need to prepare our meals. Access to the lake was very easy too. Property owner, Mike was wonderful too and very responsive via text messages and phone calls. The only two reason why I didn't give a five for the overall rating is that the kitchen sink was leaking and we need to dry up under the sink daily and for the last day and half we did not have hot water as the gas company did not fill the fuel. We contacted Mike and he tried his best to get the gas company to take care of it but to no avail. This did effect our experience a bit but we still had a great time.

Great place to relax!

Myself and my family very much enjoyed our time at the cabin. Host was great about checking in with us to make sure we had what we needed. We ran into some rainy weather and ended up extending our stay! We will definitely keep the cabin in mind for another trip.

Fantastic Lake Home

We had a great 11th year at Badin. This property had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. Fully stocked kitchen, linens, games, dock space. The upstairs room (we called the dorm) was fabulous for our 5 teenagers! And the big open living room was home to many priceless conversations and memories. We would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous house

We were a party of 12 with 6 adults and 6 kids. House was big and spacious and the location was fantastic. Loved the view from the main hall and the 10 bed dorm room upstairs was a big hit with the kids. Next door neighbors Jason and Landy were a surprise bonus. So friendly and welcoming. Thanks to them we got to experience true southern hospitality.

Great house ! Plenty of space for 4 couples to stay and have some privacy

Short holiday weekend with friends and family. Beautiful weather. Great location. Plenty of room . Lots of supplies to make it just like home. Wonderful to have sheets and towels provided so didn’t have to pack. Owner was excellent to work with and provided information quickly
