Great place to relax and enjoy the beach. The property was beautiful and we loved watching the freighters pass by.

The house is old and amazing!!! A cozy place to be! Amazing views. Bedding is amazing and comfy. Towels smelled wonderful!!!Kitchen is nicely stocked to feel just like home. You can even use the garage if you wanted!!! If you have a large group this is a wonderful pick with lots of beds. Comfy beds!!! Had a hiccup with some construction on site but Leslie got it taken care of. She really is amazing to work with!! Many thanks to her. Loved our stay!!!! Would have loved more time.

The space was perfect for our family of four, actually more space than we needed. The bunk bed space provided a "wing" of the home for just the kids. The mostly private, sandy beach access to Lake Superior was our number one choice for choosing a rental in this area. It is a "hike" to the beach, but so worth it. The home was clean and well stocked. It is a bit of an older home with some natural quirks, such as the sliding door was a bit wonky, however it had everything you could need for a pleasant stay in Grand Marais with perfect beach access. We've stayed in another home in this area and would easily choose this one again!

Wonderful Beach View

The property is located in a great spot and easy drive to get to many of the sites in the area. Very clean and well kept. A short walk to the beach was nice. It was great for our family!

Pretty location!

The house was fully stocked and plenty spacious with a short walk down to Lake Superior. Be aware that the boardwalk across the marsh to the beach is narrow and a bit wobbly.

Stay was great!

Was a nice place, really loved the separate heat in each room. Perfect for us, plus we was there to snowmobile. There was plenty of room to park, the entire town of Grand Marais welcomed snowmobiles, even plowed snow to edge of road to allow for snowmobiles to ride side of roads.

Perfect stay for Snowmobiling

Great spot to stay if you have a large group looking to snowmobile! Location is great easy access to town and the snowmobile trail just down the road. Easily fit Two trucks and trailers just let the host know ahead of time and plowed extra space for us. Kitchen is excellent for cooking large amounts of food for breakfast and dinner. The view is very nice to wind down too. Would stay here again.

Love Grand Marais, wouldn't call this a 3 bedroom house, though there are enough beds for 9.

Great location, beach is amazing, house was very clean, easy to access. My only issue was the third "bedroom" was technically the entry way, it didn't have doors on both sides, only 1.

The entryway is not considered a bedroom in the listing. It's written up as a common area. The house has three bedrooms and a common areas. I'm sorry if this was over looked when you booked. Thank you for your kind words. Leslie

No communication before the stay

Nice place. Beautiful view. Great beds. Stayed there for snowmobiling. Right on the road for the trail. Sent messages through VBRO for two months before the trip. No communication until I got ahold of VBRO the day of the trip. Then there was communication. I wasn’t sure if it was going to be open for us when we got there. She stated that she had sent emails. None were received until I stated that there had been none the day of the trip. That is very frustrating when trying to plan a trip with multiple people.

Overall, the house was great. There is no AC and I don't remember seeing that in the listing. The house was 75 to 77 degrees the first couple of days. Rooms were satisfactory. Beds were comfortable and kitchen and living areas were adequate.

Inside was nice and clean. The outside was poor. Overgrown brush, grass not cut, had to sweep off back porch from branches, and the beach access was boards laying across swamp area. Very unsafe

Great Location

The location is superb. Lake Superior view from deck…short walk to beach. A mile or so from ‘downtown’ Grand Marais. Close to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore for great hiking. The house had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen. The Property Managerbwasnt the most responsive. Had to track her down to get arrival info. The track to the deck slider and screen is in need of cleaning and a silicone or wd40 application to help it slide better. Bathtub drain is extremely slow. No remote for the DVD player. All in all enjoyed our stay.

Heads up!

Property manager is not a great communicator. Got a limited response when it came to money. When I started asking about check in instructions I received no response to text or by phone. Completely ghosted. This left me worried for 2 days about our next stay in the UP. We showed up and the house was open and there were written instructions on the fridge. It was fine but could've just shot me a quick response. I'm sure the days leading up to our stay could've been a little more pleasant. All that said Grand Marais is awesome. Must see. The house was good and the beach is a good hike from the house but absolutely gorgeous.
