Amazing Lake Superior view from Ridge Road w/2 car heated garage, pet friendly

What a view! Nestled high on the ridge, in Grand Marais, overlooking Lake Superior, this completely remodeled house has real hickory hardwood floors throughout. It has a new cabin feel, all shiplap & tongue and groove walls and ceiling. All new high-end, stainless-steel appliances (refrigerator, stove and washer/dryer), quartz counter tops, hammered cooper kitchen sink, and leather furniture, including a pull-out sofa (queen). Bathroom as tub/shower.
We offer a selection of K cups for the Keurig or if you enjoy drip coffee we do have a regular coffee maker as well. There are three smart TVs, total with amazon/netflix available. One TV in the King bedroom, one in the main living room and one in the kids living area (that has the pull-out sofa). For as beautiful as this house is inside, the outdoor space is more amazing, new wrap around deck will be available Summer 2025. The kitchen, living room and queen bedroom has an amazing view of Lake Superior. Sit on the porch swing and sip coffee or wine all day looking at the beautiful blue hues of the water. Play corn-hole (game provided to use) in the side yard or bring your own outdoor games for the whole family. Plenty of parking room for trucks & trailers. The heated garage has an additional refrigerator and outdoor grill for guest use. Toward the back of the house enjoy a private area for your campfire. There are 3 heat sources for this house. One is 100% off-grid meaning it will work if the case of a power outage.

Main source of heat for house is forced air propane. There is a pellet stove both inside the house (optional for you to use) and in the garage as the main source of heat for the garage. We recommend you bring bags of pellets and if you need additional, they can be available for $8/bag.

This is a pet friendly property. Please note there is a pet fee of $100.00 therefore you must disclose you are bringing a pet. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and must be in a crate if ever left unattended.

A Cozy Winter Retreat

This cozy cabin is the perfect amount of rustic mixed with all of the essentials you could need! For our annual snowmobile trip, we prefer to be close to the trails and close to a gas station so this place was great. And, to have a heated garage for parking is just the cherry on top! The knotty pine and pellet stove make this the coziest spot to warm up after a day of riding or ice fishing! The owners here have everything covered and were so pleasant and responsive to communicate with. We'd absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

We love Grand Marais!

The view from the big kitchen window is stunning. You can see the lake, the waves crashing and the spray. So cozy, all pine, comfortable furniture, great beds. We have been to Grand Marais many times, Summer and Winter. Always beautiful, always welcoming.

Snowmobiling trip in the UP! :)

Perfect location in Grand Marais not far from the trails. All the amenities you would ever need. Plenty of space for truck and trailer and heated garage to work in in needed. Owners were awesome and super friendly. I will be staying here again in the future for sure!

Grand Marais Vacation

House was very comfortable and spacious. King bed was very comfortable! Beautiful view and had everything we needed! Very convenient to downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing stay

We had a wonderful 5 day family vacation. Check in was smooth and easy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. We did stop and get groceries with a cooler, and brought them with us from the lower peninsula. Groceries are limited in this area. The wifi worked great in the evenings when we got back from our adventures. The host communicated with us very well. She even offered us an extra night to keep our adventures going. This was very appreciated, even though we could not stay longer. We were able to bring our pup, Cleo, and she loved the hikes and beaches. She just was dying to get the squirrels that were taunting her! Thank you for the use of the cabin.

Lovely home away from home near town!

I loved our stay here. First, it is a fun walk to the downtown and beach, if you have no mobility issues. I come from a very flat area, so loved walking the hills with my dog. Which brings me to my second point, I loved how dog friendly the home (and area!) were. My kids loved that there were multiple places that they could watch TV. The kitchen was well-equipped. The kitchen window view and chair swing were delightful. And last but not least, the hosts were so accommodating and kind. We hope to return!

Great place to stay

This property was perfect for our trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It was clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommmend if you are travelling to the area.

Beautiful Cabin & Wonderful Owners!

The cabin was lovely! Everything was clean and looked new. Beds were very comfortable. The view out the kitchen window was beautiful! Molly and Chet were wonderful. Molly's communication before and during our stay was excellent! She made suggestions regarding local things to do - all you have to do it let her know what you are interested in and ask her where to go do to it - sight seeing, tours, rentals! Highly recommend booking a Yooperlite tour/hunt with Molly & Chet while you are there - it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Cozy and comfy stay! Excellent central location for the parks and falls. Chet was able to answer all of our questions and made sure we were comfortable during our stay! Looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Very nice place to be!

Cabin has everything you could want for being up north. The owners are very nice and welcoming people willing to lend a hand if needed. Location is perfect distance from town and in the wilderness. Highly recommend!

So grateful to Chet & Molly!!

Our first trip to see The Pictured Rocks, turned out to more dramatic than expected. We had booked a rental through Lake Superior Rentals (Great Escape House) for a 2 night stay with our dogs. 2 days ahead of arriving, I contacted their owner and no response. Had paid in advance and began to panic since it was a busy weekend in Grand Marais. No vacancies for pet friendly rentals. Called, emailed and messengered owner and was completely ghosted. She’s still in business though… just a jerk. So happy that I was able to get in touch with Chet about his dog friendly property. He rallied and got the place cleaned and ready for us with short notice. The pictures don’t do the place justice! The view is amazing and lots of space for the dogs to frolic! Clean, modern and beautiful hardwood flooring. He even set up firewood for a bonfire. Beyond that, they have a sweet swing and outdoor dining table that looked out to Lake Superior. Great people, great place and Grand Marais is a sweet little town. I wish we had time to stay longer to do the rock hunting tour with them. But it’s an excuse to go back!

Great location along our Lake Superior Circle Tour

This house was perfect for our family of four. We stayed one night while doing the Lake Superior Circle Tour. Very clean. Nice washer and dryer. Quiet location. Host was nice and responded quickly to any questions we had.
