Steal away to the beautiful little fishing island of Spanish Wells, Eleuthera. The sea , the people, the beaches, the sunsets, the fishing and the flowers and palm trees all conspire to wash away the stress of our busy lives. The Palm House is teetering on the shore of a beautiful cove where you can walk forever before the water reaches your waist. A full service grocery store equipped down to the kiwi and wontons is a 5 minute walk away. Multiple restaurants, yacht club, liquor stores are within walking distance . Harbor Island and lovely Eleuthera are a short ferry ride away. Rent a car and drive south to check out various sites.

Paddle boards, kayak, bicycles and kite surf are provided. The Home was built in 2002 and furnished with an eye toward a perfect family get away. There are 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms with an outdoor shower and very large seaside deck where most of the fun time is spent. There is a large sleeping room for children with bassinet, crib, toddler bed and two full beds in addition to the 3 queen bedrooms. 10 can stay here comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped and the home is lovingly decorated. Wi-fi is fully operational as well as a local phone landline and cable television. Come on down and be our guest. You will love this safe and peaceful ... Visually stunning ... swath of paradise , the likes of which are found no where else in the Caribbean..

Palm House

Great property! The Palm House is one of the best appointed properties I have stayed at. Pots, pans, lots of beds, games, beach accessories,etc. The porches are wonderful as well. The location is also convenient being close to the grocery store. The back porch overlooks the beautiful beach on the sandbar with your own personal ocean pool. We love Spanish Wells and enjoyed the home. The property caretaker, Kenny is awesome and very helpful and knowledgeable! Really nice guy

Excellent stay

Wonderful property and location. Very clean and as advertised. Dishwasher was not working which was minor hiccup. Overall we loved the property and Spanish Wells is such a special place. Property manager Kenny was awesome and very helpful.

Palm House

Our group of six really enjoyed our stay there, house and locarion was amazing. There were just a few items that were listed on VRBO site that weren’t available. They listed a hot tub there wasn’t one, listed a dishwasher but it was broken. Also the outdoor shower was run down as well as the deck and the outdoor furniture shown in pics wasnt all there. Other than that we really enjoyed it and would stay again.

Amazing home and island

We had an excellent vacation here. The location is unbeatable, with the beach a few steps away and a sandbar creating a calm, clear area for smaller kids to swim. The local property managers are amazing, very responsive and well-connected on the island. We were a party of 8 and the house was spacious and comfortable. The back deck is a great space, but could use some maintenance as there was a hole (which we kept covered with a chair) and some raised nails. Aside from this, we have no complaints, would recommend the propoerty, and would love to return again soon!

Second time at the Palm House

Love this house, great location and very comfortable stay. We brought my twin two year olds this trip and the house was very easy to stay in with a crib and toddler bed upstairs.

Great Accommodations for Larger Families/Groups

The Palm House was a delightful fit for our family to travel with friends to Spanish Wells. This was our second trip to this quiet little island, and we hope not our last. There are many things to like about the property, but its best feature is the amazing deck looking out over the water. Thanks to Kenny & Margo for taking care of us during our visit, and Elizabetta for opening up her wonderful home.

Paradise....Perfect!

Pictures could never adequately describe the beauty of Spanish Wells and the perfection of this house. The space was plenty for two families (4 adults, 5 children) and the location was perfect. Kenny and Margo took care of all of our questions and needs and after a day or so you magically become a local (or are at least treated like one). We will visit again and stay with Elizabeth without question.

Beautiful Week

My family and I just got back from a week of wonderful vacation. The home was beautiful. What you see in the pictures doesn’t do justice to how amazing this home was. We spent so much time on the beautiful deck watching the kids play in the water. The home is beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. We look forward to going back soon.

Let's Keep This Our Little Secret!

The house is everything the reviews say. Close to restaurants, the supermarket, and soft-serve ice cream. Yet, you walk out the French doors onto the deck and are immediately on the beach. You can walk the beach for miles, walk the sand bar for a quarter mile or kayak out directly from the house to a shipwreck like my nervous husband and I did. The house itself offers everything you need and Kenny, a real nice guy, will come up with everything else you need. I'm going to stay here again as soon as I can!

Best place ever!!

We had the best time! We loved everything about the Palm House and Spanish Wells. The home had everything that we needed. The grocery store, papa scoops, the harbor, and restaurants are all just minutes away from the Palm House. Kenny and Margo are just delightful. They are very accommodating and welcoming. Vincent also responds very timely to anything that you have questions about. We have small children and the shallow water was perfect for them to play. We loved the community and walks on the beach. My only complaint is I had to come home. You will not regret staying at this wonderful home and in this lovely beach community.

Fantastic stay!

We had an incredible stay at Palm House! The beach and ocean are right at the doorstep. We enjoyed snorkeling right in front of the house every day to see what new sea creatures we’d find. We were lucky to find a few sand dollars! We kayaked out to the nearby island which was tough, but well worth it because there is a coral reef surrounding it so the snorkeling was incredible! The beach is pristine and very pretty unpopulated so it’s very quiet and peaceful. Everything in the house was clean and comfortable. They were kind enough to leave the sunscreen and alcohol from the previous renters, so that was a bonus! Kenny was available for anything we needed from the taxi to the excursion. The grocery store was very close and we enjoyed all of the restaurants.

Wonderful family holiday

From the time we stepped off the ferry in Spanish Wells we felt comfortable, safe and welcome. This island is not for the all inclusive folks, but it was perfect for us! Property was wonderful and sat right on the best beach on the island. We had two toddlers so the shallow water was perfect for them. Plenty of water toys to use to go out beyond the bar for the older ones. House was extremely clean and had everything you would need for a relaxing holiday. I can’t say enough about the property managers, Kenny and Margo…..they truly reflected the heart of this island….so warm and accommodating even though we had folks coming and going most of the time. Margo even makes the best pumpkin bread I have ever had! I might need Bon Apetit to request her recipe as she keeps it close!!!! If you like a quiet island with a wonderful beach and a house that offers all the amenities, this is the place for you! We are already trying to figure out dates for 2024 so we can all go back!!!

Best vacation ever

It’s going to be hard to put this into words. We’ve been to some nice all incisive Caribbean resorts over the years and have always been happy. We wanted something different… and boy did we get it! The house and the view… we got really lucky with this house as I stumbled upon the vacancy only a few months from our week of vacation due to a cancellation. Walking the N beach of Spanish Wells a few times that this house likely has THE best location and view of any. No exaggeration. It’s extremely close to the water with zero dune or grass obstructing the view. Kenny and Margo were extremely helpful and were there for us throughout the week if we had questions. It was very hard for me to convince my family to stray away from an all inclusive resort with the always there food and drink and multiple swimming pools. If that’s your thing then this place is NOT for you. If your think is the most beautiful beach and water on earth and the ability to explore on your own amongst some super nice locals then maybe this is your spot!?!? It’s like taking a step back in time 30-40 years. We rented a boat for 4 days from Harbourside and fished / beach hopped the majority of the week. My family has had the time of their lives!!! We will be back to Spanish wells for sure! Hopefully we can plan far enough ahead to get the Palm House again! There’s much more I could say…. But words are hard to find to describe!

Amazing trip

This property is as wonderful as it looks. The house was warm and welcoming. It takes a bit to get to the island from Nassau but it was totally worth it! I think this house is the best home in Spanish Wells especially with the great deck, sand bar and the beautiful, clear water. Our kids could kayak, paddle board and explore without any worry. There were 10 of us (6 kids 11-18) and we were very comfortable in the house. We would recommend renting a golf cart to get around and bring plenty of CASH. The internet was out for a day on the whole island and none of the restaurants, grocery stores or shops could accept credit cards. Also, the one ATM on the island wasn't working for 3-4 days of our trip so it was a bit of a challenge (not a deterrent, though!) The people of Spanish Wells were incredibly nice and accommodating which is a rare find these days. We did a full day excursion with Bruno Underwood - we went fishing (caught LOTS of fish which Bruno and company cleaned for us), swam with the pigs and went snorkeling. Bruno was a wonderful guide and very knowledgeable about Spanish Wells, the surrounding islands and the water. We highly recommend him! The owner, Elizabeth, responded quickly to our questions and Kenny and Margo Pinder were very responsive to any needs or questions we had during our stay. The restaurants on the island were great. Budda's is great for a less expensive meal and drinks. Wreckers has great food and the Ship Yard has wonderful food but be prepared to pay for it (especially when feeding teenagers). Finally, our kids LOVED Papa's Scoops for a soft serve ice cream treat. There are different flavors every night and you just pull up in your golf cart and order. Our families unanimously agreed that this was our favorite vacation to date! Thank you, Elizabeth, for sharing your home with us. We are so thankful!

An amazing family vacation on an incredibly serene beach!!

Ahhhh, the Palm House…our family stayed at the beautiful Palm House for a very relaxing 6 days; 2 adults w/4 children ages 11y, 9y, 6y, and 8mos. The pictures are all accurate — this is a breathtaking location! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the beach is incredible! Sunrises and sunsets over the water are so amazing. Our children adored their time here, they loved having the beach in the backyard and spent all day in and out of the water. The sand is soft and beautiful, we all found conch shells, starfish, live sand dollars, and we saw a stingray! The water could not be clearer or more amazing, and it was so calm all day long. You can walk out for hundreds of feet and the water was not more then 3ft-- excellent for our kids to enjoy swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and our favorite stand-up-paddleboarding. Walking out to the sandbar/island a few hundred feet out was so special and fun for our children! The beach is peacefully quiet, and the only other people we saw on the beach were beach walkers maybe once per day who strolled by. The owner Elizabeth and caretaker Kenny and Margo were kind and made sure to help us when we needed something. The house itself is lovely and so very comfortable, with plenty of room for all of us, and the beach decor is sweet and interesting and artistic, a really lovely place to stay! Coconuts fall onto the front lawn — which was so excellent for fresh coconut water and snacks! A couple of the restaurants deliver such as Wreckers, which was very convenient. We walked a block away to Eagle’s Landing restaurant for food and ice cream too. Other restaurants we drove to in our golf cart. Be sure to visit the delicious Buddas for the best tasting food!! The supermarket is just a couple of blocks away. Also a nice scenic couple of miles away via golf cart is beautiful Russell Island. Spanish Wells is so gorgeous, sleepy and quaint, the local people are so very lovely too -- our children made friends with some sweet local school children and had an excellent afternoon together! Exactly what we were looking for -- a peaceful vacation, away from everything, no touristy noise, just the gorgeous waters and our family time. Our whole family had a truly incredible vacation!!

Wonderful home/beach

I rented this house for a family get together with 4 couples and it was absolutely perfect. It is situated on the most amazing beach that is great for walking/swimming and beach combing. The house was perfect for all of us with a wonderfully stocked and large kitchen, great living area, bedrooms and huge deck that is right on the beach. There are a few really good restaurants within walking or golf cart driving distance and the largest grocery store on the island right around the corner. Kenny the property manager was super helpful. Would love to stay here again!!

Back to Paradise

We have stayed at Palm House before and once again, we were not disappointed. Margo and Kenny Pinder were wonderful with helping us make excursion plans and coordinating golf cart rental and airport transportation. There were many island excursions that everyone must see including swimming with pigs, Sand Dollar beach, swimming with sea turtles and the swings with the amazing stingrays. Thanks to Paulie for taking us to all these beautiful sites. The house was a quintessential beach home with lots of space for our party of 9. I love how clean and cozy it was. The house had everything we needed including beach towels, a well-stocked kitchen, laundry, paddle board, kayak, goggles/snorkels, etc. The water and the beach were perfect with plenty of sun and lots of privacy. If you want serenity, this is the place. The locals are very pleasant and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from including our kids’ favorite, Papa’s Scoops for soft serve ice cream. Literally the Palm House Bahamas is how I imagine heaven.

I wake early, brew a cup of coffee and sit outside overlooking the beach while reading the news. A couple puffy scattered clouds speed by while I listen to the birds and the wind breathing on the palms. The waves crashing slightly and the fishermen's boats motoring out to sea! Poof! I realize I cannot worry about the things I cannot control!. The stresses of the world drain away such that peace overcomes me. Its an incredible feeling for someone tightly wound.

This property is my definition of peace. The community is extraordinarily safe and the views are breathtaking for those of us that love being on islands. The home is a home to build memories with our families able to sleep comfortably 12 to 15.

Get married on the beach, have a family reunion, share with another family friend, treat some work colleagues to a retreat. The home is perfectly set up for entertaining and chilling with wife and kids.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Food Fair is literally around the corner. A reasonably sized grocery store with most items one would find in the states plus some local baked items. The island has great internet service and the electricity is reliable unlike other islands. All the amenities of a decent size town but on a cay in the ocean with a population of just over 800. Quite impressive how well the island is maintained by the local government. The locals are welcoming, kind, accommodating, honest.
