A Charming Country Cottage Nestled in the Woods

Conveniently located to Congaree National Park and everything Columbia & Sumter SC has to offer all while nestled in a wooded setting for a peaceful stay.
Newly renovated with lots to offer: comfy beds & linens, fully stocked kitchen, Wi-Fi, keyless entry, fire pit, back-up generator, and 2 large porches. Master bedroom has a queen bed and private full-bath. Two additional bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full) with shared full-bath. Washer, dryer, iron, ironing board and steamer are available. Safety is important: cottage has smoke detectors, night lights and all mattress & pillows are covered with protectors.

Wonderful Cottage

We loved our stay here while visiting Congaree National Park. This property was very comfortable with so much attention to details. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, the bedrooms were very nice, we enjoyed using both porches, and the fire pit which was all ready to go .Also the location is very close to the National Park.Would highly recommend this!

What a wonderful place to stay at when visiting Congaree National Park. You can tell the host is not just good at what they do, but truly passionate. It can be seen from house decorations and condition down to complimentary food items. Everyone enjoyed the outside bonfire with smores after a long day. There is a washer and dryer on site, but no dishwasher. Latter was the only downside, but not that big of a deal for us. Weather late November treated us to just perfect fall days before leaves fall out. I wouldn't think twice about staying here again. Thanks again for a great visit.

Wedding party

We enjoyed our short stay at the creekside cottage, it was spacious and clean. One small hiccup, management took care of expediently. Would definitely stay again.

Great Property and Hosts

Our stay was wonderful. Host were great. A hurricane came in from Florida causing storms our last day there. Property had a generator in case we lost power due to storm. Host kept in contact with us due to weather to make sure we were ok. Owners were very nice and we had a great stay. We also enjoyed the company of their cat Biscuit, who became a regular while we were there.

Cozy cottage in the woods

We really enjoyed our stay! We were in South Carolina to atrend our sons graduation from basic training at FT. Jackson. The place was clean, quiet, and had everything you needed to cook a meal. We loved that we could wash our clothes before we left! Overall a great place to stay!

Perfect!

Communication with the host was easy and quick. She was very accommodating and we even got fresh flowers upon arrival. The house was amazing…clean, cozy and beautiful property. We were only there for two nights and wish we could’ve stayed longer! Thank you for everything!!

Perfect Getaway

The cottage is well located to many attractions in the area most notably, Congaree NP which is a must see. We walked along the boardwalk trail and saw deer woodpeckers and even an owl, it was truly amazing. The property itself is as described with many small touches that make the whole stay that much better. The location allows you to relax during down time watching the birds from either the front or back porches and the fire pit makes for fun family nights by the fire. The hosts are very responsive. I had some questions both before and during our stay and the hosts were prompt and helpful each time. This is easily a place that we would book again.

Great cottage close to Congaree NP

Super cute property. Perfect for relaxing. Had everything we needed in the kitchen and throughout the home. Lots of birdfeeders set up and a lot of cool birds to watch. Also randomly a peacock kept us company. Highly recommend!

Delightful cottage in a natural setting

This delightful cottage had everything needed for a restful stay. The kitchen was well stocked, the bath towels were ample and SOFT, and the furniture was comfortable. It was also convenient to Congaree National Park and Columbia. We were delighted to see a wide variety of birds (two of which are rare from where we come from). Every evening we sat on the porch and enjoyed the quiet of the property and the antics of the squirrels and birds at the birdfeeders and bird bath. We hope to come again real soon!

Wonderful Cottage

My husband and I met another couple at this cottage for a long weekend. The cottage was perfect for us. So many extra little touches made it feel like welcome guests instead of renters. Kitchen was well equipment to cook dinner. Host had lots of great suggestions for places to eat and recommended things to do. Cottage was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be coming back.

Cute secluded home

This was the perfect spot for a girls trip - plenty of space, near the national park, and quiet. The house was packed with essentials, which was very appreciated. And clean!

Cozy Cottage

The cabin was very cozy with everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. The birds and squirrels at the feeders were very entertaining! The location was very convenient for visiting the Congaree National Park.

Peacefully Perfect

This little slice of Heaven is a bit off the beaten path, but it’s exactly what we needed! We wish we could have spent more time just taking it all in. This clean, beautifully decorated cottage is set on a property that reminds us we all need to just sit back and sit a spell. The welcoming porch has us doing that from night one. We’d can’t imagine how amazing this is once autumn makes its appearance. Debbie went above and beyond, including a sweet moment with my grandkids. They loved the animals that were just a short walk away. Thank you again for the lovely stay.

Perfect cottage in the woods

Lots of work went into remodeling and decorating this cottage. It was so unique, peaceful and relaxing. Close to Congaree National Park. A much better option than a hotel in Columbia.

Clean and serene

This is a great, relaxing property. It has lots of space inside. It is very clean! The beds are comfy, the showers are hot and the kitchen is stocked. It has 2 nice decks. The living room is tricky to figure out but I think most of those smart TVs are. It is a great place to stay for visiting Congaree National Park which was the purpose of our trip. It is 30 minutes from Columbia which we went to groceries first and for the zoo. The outside is a nice quiet oasis with good bird watching. There is room to play and a playground set if you have kids. This was by far the most homey welcome VRBO I have ever stayed.

More than Advertised

My wife and 3 kids (ages 13, 15, 17) stayed here for 2 nights on our visit to Congaree NP and Columbia, SC. This house really is more than advertised. The pictures do not do this house justice. It is located as close as can be to the National Park. I don't even know where to start from the small to large things, the covered car port to keep dry while unpacking, fresh baked cookies, the covered front porch, back porch, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, laundry room. One of the owner's, Rusty, came over to say hi and make sure we didn't need anything. He also invited us over to see the chickens and baby goats. This place is awesome and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed by staying here. Thanks so much for letting us stay at your place for 2 nights. If we are ever in the area this is where we will be staying again, for sure.

Clean quaint home

House was just as described. Clean, spacious yard and good location for visiting Congaree National Park. Owners go above and beyond to accommodate their guests and make this a nice place to stay. Highly recommend.

Great cottage near Congaree

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It was really comfortable, charming, well stocked, and had great access to Congaree. The beds were really comfortable and the play structure was a great treat for my 9 year old. Debbie was also very responsive to my questions. Great experience.

Relaxing family stay

We took our first family vacation with our son and daughter-in-law and one year old grandchild. The house was clean and had everything we needed- and anyone could need!- to relax and make meals and sleep well! The hosts were friendly if needed anything but gave us our space. Lovely family stay!

John & Rusty are brothers and they grew up on the property. Both love the outdoors, hunting, fishing, building/remodeling and chatting with the guests.
Lynn & Debbie are friends as well as sister-in-laws and they put the finishing touches on what John and Rusty build. Both love new adventures and making our guests feel comfortable.

Cedar Creek Cottage is located on family land with a long history.. Nature is waiting for you right outside the door. It is not uncommon to see deer walking through the yard, and an array of birds on the feeders. It is a quick trip to Congaree National Park or Columbia to see all the capital city has to offer then come back and relax on the porch or by the fire pit and look at the stars.

Cedar Creek Cottage is fully stocked with everything you will need to be comfortable. Easy access and ample parking. There is a lot of history on the property and you are free to walk around and explore. We have chickens, goats and a miniature donkey; if you wish to visit with them just let Debbie know. We love our peaceful setting and hope you will as well.
