Welcome to Rocky Top, home sweet home to our guests. Located in beautiful Cosby TN known as the Adventure Side of the Smokies. Cosby sits along the Smoky Mountains and Cherokee National Forest.
Enjoy time with family and friends at the cabin, sitting beside a flowing creek and surrounded by trees and wildlife. NO steep, curvy mountains roads to climb. Lots of parking and yard to play in. Fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds, lots of fun and games to enjoy such as a fire pit, horse shoes, corn hole, giant jenga, board games, and books for the kids. Bring your bicycles too. Only 30 minutes east of Gatlinburg and a few more miles to all the fun of Pigeon Forge. The Foothills Parkway is behind the cabin and has 4 amazing overlooks. Lots of area hiking trailheads to explore. A little piece of heaven in the woods but only 10 minutes from the town of Newport for local shopping, restaurants and Interstate 40.

Destination Christmas

We all loved Rocky top. The cabin was beautiful and none of us wanted to leave. The host was welcoming and the hospitality was heart warming. The kids are ready to go back already.

What a great cabin to make memories!

Family Time 2024

We spent 5 nights at the cabin, it was very peaceful and scenery of mountains from back yard beautiful. Host was exceptional and cabin was furnished with every thing you could need. Decorated beautifully, made you feel right at home. Loves spending evenings on screened porch. Would definitely recommend. The experience was great.

Rocky Top Bliss

This is the third year we have stayed at Rocky Top in October. The property is well maintained and improvements have greeted us every year. Lisa, our host, is very approachable and helpful. You won’t regret a stay at Rocky Top!

nice and quiet

A ways from Gatlinburg , however that was not all that bad. Took our motorcycles , rode around , weather was great. Our dog had fun chasing squirres and checking out the babbling creek. We had turkeys one time, the ran out and was confused because they flew . Nice and quiet , great for sleeping.

Family getaway including pets!

Location was somewhat far from large attractions but ideal for family with pets. It was a nice quiet setting to come to in the evenings after a busy day of FUN. Also enjoyed the early mornings on the screened in porch

Family get together

My daughter and her family live in Missouri and only see each other once a year. We had a wonderful time, kids loved the creek and the cows. Very kid friendly. Thank you for having a wonderful place to make memories.

The Perfect Cabin for Families

We really enjoyed our stay at Rockytop Cabin. We have 5 children ages 16-6 and it was perfect. The outdoor games were a huge hit and my husband and I loved sitting on the screened in porch listening to the creek and watching the cows. The location is great. It's less than an hour to most of the big attractions but far enough away from the craziness of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It's very peaceful. It feels private even though it is in a community. We would definitely stay again!

Family/Birthday Getaway

Tennessee is definitely a different type of country living but a beautiful peaceful one at that! At first when we pulled onto the street which lead to the house we were a little confused & thought this couldn't be right because it was heading right for a school! Relaxing atmosphere

The home was very comfortable, clean and well stocked. Sitting on the back porch listening to the creek burble past was very relaxing. The neighborhood is very quiet.

Perfect place for our family to stay

The house and property were excellent. It was quiet and felt safe. We had everything we needed for cooking, washing and drying clothes, and watching movies. If you have someone in your group that has trouble sleeping, the bigger bedroom on the main floor is very quiet and dark in the morning because of light-blocking curtains. The views from the back porch and back yard near the stream are beautiful! I took some lovely photos! The kids liked the board games and Jenga on the back porch. Walmart, Marshall’s, and some fast food are just 15 minutes away. Dollar General is a few minutes from the house. Our dogs loved exploring the large yard on leashes, and the house is dog friendly. Lisa is helpful and nice and communicated very well with us. We recommend this place!

Beautiful property- GREAT location!!

Absolutely beautiful cabin, filled with everything you could ever need! Clean and spacious!! It was just myself, teenage son and pup that traveled- and we spent a lot of time in the surrounding areas exploring so didn’t spend a lot of time in the cabin but if you have a larger family, especially with small children or if you like to wander/explore, I highly recommend this place! So many activities provided for kids (and adults!) not to mention the flowing creek right outside that you can sit and listen to in the morning with your coffee. The property is just beautiful both inside and out! It’s located a short drive away from Gatlinburg/Pigeon forge, but the scenic drives there and back and all of the places to stop and check out along the way take you to some really neat local spots that you might miss otherwise. And no steep gravel drives to get to it!! It’s so peaceful and quiet, great place to bring your pup, and all the little details to include them in your stay were just icing on the cake! 100/10! Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful cabin

We all had a great time, very quiet location. Loved sitting out back, drinking coffee, listening to the creek. Cabin was very clean, loved all the decor. Screened porch, kept all the bugs away, & the string lights were a nice touch. Had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Great communication with the host, Lisa thank you so much for sharing your cabin with us. We will definitely recommend this to friends & family, & stay here again! Thank you again!

Tennessee Getaway

My family and had a very relaxing stay at Rockytop! We felt at home and the cabin was tidy and well stocked. Enjoyed our nightly fires that we built in the fireplace and having family bonding time! The creek behind the cabin was so peacful with the rolling hills and cows just beyond it. The surrounding neighbors were friendly and waved as we drove by. The red barn going to the cabin was very nostalgic and we saw the cutest residence near by, a groundhog! Even saw a skunk but didn't dare get close!😅

Amazing stay

Lisa is so so sweet and helpful My family and myself have never felt more at home at a place before. Cabin in fully stocked with everything you need and some. Grill out back, every pot or pan youd need, ample utensils, plenty of dishes and cups(even for babies and toddlers) plenty of cleaning supplies should you need them. Even had toddler bed, pack n play and baby bath! Baby gate in bedroom closet was perfect for stairs. All bedroom are well stocked with every type of blanket or pillows you may want. Only had to bring food and personal items! Lisa was always very responsive. Love that she has a facebook page for the cabin for guests to follow updates on cabin! Love how she decorated for christmas, made the holiday so special. Very sweet family. Made us feel so at home.

Hidden Gem

This place was amazing! I loved the location because it was far out enough to feel like you’re in the woods but close enough to the main road and accessible. It was quiet and serene. I loved the little creek behind the house and Lisa had thought of everything! We didn’t even touch our phones because there were so many board games and outdoor activities for all ages. We will come back for sure. This place is amazing!!

Great family time

The cabin was cozy and beautifully decorated. The grands enjoyed painting the rocks and collecting acorns. The grandkids loved the big games on the porch and kept them occupied for hours. We went to The Forbidden Caverns, and loved it. We also went to Dollywood. Not what I expected. We also went to Carver's Apple Orchard. Loved it. It was just a few miles away. Had dinner and shopped in their farmer's market. The weather was perfect. Highly recommend this cabin.

Tennessee Getaway

This beautiful property is nestled away in the woods with a creek flowing in the back and cows mooing on the other side! The home is beautiful and spacious with a screened in porch on the back to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or evening game night. The property is pet friendly (which I missed in the listing and there was some pet hair on the carpets, but I'm sure not a problem for pet owners!). My kiddos loved the creek in the back and we went to the nearest Walmart (within 20min, so perfect!) for supplies to make boats to race down! It is in a community, so you can hear the neighbors, but can't see them. Overall a great experience and the owner was fabulous to work with especially with all the questions I had!

We bought this cabin because of our love of the quiet, more laid back side of the Smokies that Cosby offers. Close to the interstate 40, shopping and restaurants yet a short drive to all the fun that Gatlinburg and PIgeon Forge has to offer. Our favorite thing to do at the cabin is to sit on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the squirrels play. Two of these I've lovingly named Chip & Joanna. Evenings may include a glass of wine while relaxing on the porch or by the firepit. We knew that when searching for a cabin of our own it had to be large enough for family visits..that was our 2nd love of Rocky Top. Lots of parking and flat ground to play on and 3 bedrooms for family to join us. Making smores at the firepit while a group plays horseshoes or cornhole. A competitive game of tug of war might be fun. Relax on the porch with checkers, tic tac toe, giant connect 4 and giana Jenga. Oh and we are dog friendly too as our beloved furbaby has to travel with us.
Nearby you will find local attractions such as several white water rafting locations. Llama Treks is only 5 minutes away. Enjoy the eastern side of the Smokies Foothills Parkway which pretty much is behind our cabin. Foothills Parkway is a 6 mile drive with some amazing viewing stops. This trail leads you right back to Interstate 40. We are a short drive on scenic 321 into Gatlinburg. Such a beautiful area. Visit the Greenbrier entrance to the Smokies, the Glades arts and crafts community or even take the back road into Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and explore our beautiful Smoky Mtn roads. Cosby sits along the Tennessee/North Carolina border giving you the option to visit the Cherokee Casino, Biltmore Mansion, Maggie Valley or Hot Springs NC all within an hours drive. Also within 30 minutes you will find Douglas Lake, historic Dandridge, Bush Beans visitor centerd and a wide variety of golf courses. Oh and if you're into the Moonshiners TV show, well its filmed right here in Cocke Co.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

No climbing, curvy mountain roads. Lots of parking. Family and Dog friendly. Creek to relax by. Wooded seclusion yet close to many ammenities. Our driveway is flat and we have lots of parking so great for guests pulling trailers, having larger vehicles or even motorcycles. If you're visiting one of the Rod Runs, your trailers are welcome here.
