This cabin is impressive!Everything about it was absolutely perfect. The location couldn’t have been better—conveniently close to all the local attractions, yet tucked away enough to provide a peaceful and relaxing escape. The layout and quality of the cabin exceeded our expectations, and the cleanliness was impeccable from the moment we walked in. It truly felt like a home away from home and made our trip even more enjoyable. Multiple porches to relax on, and the kids loved the swing across the lane!We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a comfortable and serene getaway.

The kitchen was fully stocked. We really enjoyed our stay. The grands loved the game rooms! We had great family fun. Definitely will be back!

We stay here 3x a year. Such a great place - the sleeping arrangements are right on with multiple bedrooms and the master upstairs for privacy. We love the private creek, the long walks we take up and down the road to take pictures of the plants and wildlife. To the left is the ski resort and Main Street (shops and restaurants) and to the right is the city of Boone. Perfect location!! We always enjoy our stay. Leaving the house is a pleasure the list is short and the trash is on site. No driving miles with trash in your car like other places we’ve stayed. We will continue to enjoy this spot with our family to ski and to hike.

This property was in a great location!! Close to plenty of activities, but a nice and quiet family space!! We loved all the space it offered and appreciated being able to just show up with clothes and enjoy (kitchen supplies, linens and toiletries provided)! The hot tub was a nice way to relax as well!

Everything was Great! Perfect location to go into Blowing Rock or Boone! Very private little traffic. House was very spacious!

Fun cabin

Our family loved our stay at the cozy cabin by Tweetsie! The host was very quick to respond if we needed anything. We will definitely be back.

cozy and convenient

We loved our stay here. All of the details were so thoughtful, from the Pack N Play, to the sound machines, to the game room and laundry detergent, so many “small” things that made a difference as a parent of young kids. Also, the convenience of being walking distance to so many activities was 10/10, we used the greenway a ton! The cleanliness of the house was fantastic too. We will definitely be staying again!

Popi’s porch is the best!

What a great house! We had so much fun. Beautiful house and so comfortable. Furnishings, beds and kitchen is great. Lots of quality and tons of things for children. Thank you!

Christmas Trip

I chose this property because of it's proximity to Tweetsie. This was an extended family trip to ride the Tweetsie Christmas Train. How exciting that we could see the Tweetsie Christmas lights from the property!! The house was perfect for our grandchildren who vary in age from 18 months to 12 years with plenty of activities to keep them happy from basketball to air hockey to puzzles, books and games. It was also very clean and stocked with many starter items from kitchen to bath. I would recommend this property highly and give it 5+ stars!! We hope to go back again!

Easy Access to Tweetsie, Blowing Rock & Boone

Overall we had a great stay and the house was just what we needed. The house is located across the street from Tweetsie and only takes seconds to get there. The house is also located close to Blowing Rock and Boone and you can get to either in a matter of minutes which was nice. A few days after our stay we received a request to pay for damage to the property. They told us all of the pillow shams in the bunk room were physically ripped at the seams. For us this was an unfortunate and disappointing ending to a great stay, because two of the beds in that room were never used or physically touched by anyone in our family.

We’re glad you enjoyed the cabin, location and amenities. We pride ourselves on keeping an immaculately clean and well maintained home. Sometimes we do experience disgruntled guests. It’s unfortunate to receive our very first less than 5 star review after over 150 perfect 5 star reviews across all booking platforms. We do hope that our future guests can overlook this disgruntled past guest and enjoy a wonderful stay at Popi’s Porch, your home away from home.

Very close proximity to Tweetsie Railroad, which was our vacation destination. The kids LOVED the bunks and they were very comfy. Showers were amazing—great water pressure. Kitchen was stocked, but dishes were not all clean. Had to wash before using them. Exposed wires noted in kitchen. All linen seemed clean, however couch appeared a little dirty. Did not utilize laundry facilities, but they were available. Would be nice to have a door mat at entry door to prevent so much track in (water from rain, leaves, etc.). Were not able to utilize hot tub as we would have liked to due to lacking time and rain. Unable to drive up driveway (should probably notify future guests)—had to park on lower drive side area. Overall enjoyed our stay in this cabin. Only gripe about property owner was that they declined our request to change dates for our vacation when it appeared that due to incoming hurricane it was forecasted to be a washout which could’ve ended up hindering our entire vacation as Tweetsie could have possibly been closed and us unable to attend. Thankfully, all things considered, the weather turned out, but it would’ve been nice for them to accommodate their guests as requested.

We did want to clarify that there was no hurricane during your stay and only light rain in the area. Your request to cancel came less than 24 hours before check-in, which falls outside our cancellation policy. We take great pride in maintaining a clean, well-stocked home for every guest. Our driveway is fully accessible for all vehicles.

The home/cabin was beyond what we hoped it would be. The cabin had games for the kids, air hockey, ping pong table, and a working hot tub for the adults. The home had a gathering vibe to it, like it was Christmas time in the summer. The location is super close to Tweetsie RR and downtown Blowing Rock. The host answered all of our questions and the check in was a breeze. Highly recommend to others looking for an awesome place to stay in the Blowing Rock area.

Great Place

The house is in a great location, close to everything. Amenities were perfect. Hot tub, fireplace, game room. The whole family enjoyed it.

Awesome Mountain Retreat

I cannot say enough good things about this home. The location is excellent. Near stores, downtown Boone, ski resorts, and restaurants. Even though you are close to town, the house is still tucked away in a private location. There is so much to do on the property. There is a creek with a swing, fire pit, land to explore and the inside is 100% amazing. The host was extremely friendly, easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. The house has three floors, with games on the bottom, main floor and top floor with loft and master. It was spotless, cozy and welcoming. Everything worked well and we had no trouble connecting to wifi. Perfect in every way.

Wonderful cabin with excellent location and amenities! Property was just as described! Hot tub was so relaxing and the kids enjoyed the games! Fireplace was nice to cozy up to!!! East check in and owners responded with any and all questions in a very timely manner! Highly recommend!!!
