This is a perfect place to escape and experience a little slice of heaven. Shore Enuff Sea'cret Hideaway is a 10 minute walk to the white sand, incredible sun, surf and sunsets. If you drive 10 minutes you will be at one of several golf courses. The backyard is completely fenced for dogs. (2 dogs maximum; no cats or other pets please). Hideaway has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and family room with 2 full size bed Sofa Sleepers. Master bedroom has king size bed and large master bathroom. Second bedroom has queen bed. Third bedroom has bunk beds. All bedrooms have 42 inch smart televisions with Wifi access. This is a clean and cozy, fully furnished beach cottage on one level, including a laundry room. Our inviting and comfortable living room opens to a well outfitted, large kitchen and dining area. There is an outdoor shower, propane grill, some beach gear, puzzles, games, books, hammock and projector to watch movies.This truly is the perfect beach hideaway.

Great time, had issues with bathroom

Everything was great except for the toilet that kept flooding. Also there was a spa/hot tub on the listing and when we got there it was just a regular bathtub.

Wonderful place

Nice vacation stay, easy walk to the beach!

The house itself was cute, clean, and well prepared. The distance from the beach was great, as it was easily walkable. (Or free parking after 5:) We loved our time at the ocean and the outdoor shower made it easy to reset when we got back. We found the house comfortable to relax as a family, and had a lot of fun! As far as suggestions: we would have appreciated more household amenities like dish soap, back up kitchen/bath towels and toilet paper. We had some challenges with communication. We did not receive an email with details about check-in/Check out expectations. We had to make phone calls both times to make sure we were doing what we needed to. There was also no binder with pertinent information in the house, which I think would be very helpful. Also a hot tub is first on the lost as one of the given amenities on the VRBO website, but there is definitely not a hot tub, so that was disappointing. That definitely should be updated to be accurate. Overall, we had a wonderful time in Oak Island and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives!

Perfect!

Super clean and cute house! Pet friendly but not a signal trace of dog hair, which is impressive. We are a family of 5 with 2 pups. Plenty of space and the homeowners have some awesome features for the kids. Doodle pads, family games and even extra beach gear and boogie boards. Location is great and SO close to our 2 favorite restaurants. Fenced in back yard was extremely convenient for our pups. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Asked for a refund

I thought we had picked a great house, pictures looked great, location was great, but…. HVAC and Heating did not work first night and next day, plumbing backed sewer up and flooded bathroom and hallway, plumber came out said it’s fourth or fifth time he has had to fix and owner want fix actual problem, sewer water was seeping out of cracks in floor and around the wall in bathroom rest of the trip and had to use all our towels to soak water, the lady on the island said we could wash our own towels, dishwasher stopped working, lights in kitchen started flickering without switch on, found mold on closet door and door casing, cobwebs in all rooms, a lot of dust on the walls and ceiling fans, and by end of stay smell of sewer was bad so we left day early. Asked for refund and have not heard back from owner.

Beach stay

Overall nice place for money. Only bad part was getting kids on bike across main road on the way to beach but other than that it was nice.

Attention to Every Detail

This house was beautiful. So many thoughtful things and so clean. Beautiful decor and super spacious. We rented a golf cart for the week because the walk would have been too much to the ocean. The island has paid parking but the golf cart company bought the weekly pass for the cart. I would highly recommend renting a golf cart or buying a weekly parking pass. You cannot get easily to the beach from the house,but the house is worth it. There was everything we could need for the beach at the house. There was an outside shower and a fenced in back yard and the neighborhood is quiet and super close to the dog park. There are not sidewalks but the streets are safe to walk. We put the dog in the golf cart because it was 90-100 degrees the days we were there. We could almost all of our meals and the kitchen had everything and super clean. The beds were so comfortable. There is not a negative thing about this house or host. It felt like home.

Everyone was so helpful and friendly- especially Shelby and Mark! The house is spacious and well maintained. The yard, hammock, and grill were excellent extras. Oak Island is so lovely. We can’t wait to return!

Second stay here

Very clean and well stocked. Also very comfortable. Fenced in back yard is perfect for our fur babies and easier on us. Only one very small step into front door door made life easier for hospice foster , who is failing. And for me who had recent knee replacement. We loved the location.

Clean, simple, place to stay.

This was a great little place to stay. When we go to the beach we are simply looking for a place to sleep because the rest of the time our family enjoys the ocean and sand. The only issue that we had was the WiFi passwords given wouldn’t work. Luckily the TVs were already connected. Phones and laptops couldn’t connect. Again, it was a clean, simple, place to stay.

Not worth the money

If you can find another location to stay in your budget I suggest stay there instead. I really thought I had done my homework when I picked this house. I so understand that people make mistakes and I totally understand that but don’t lie about it be honest and don’t throw your housekeeper under the bus for your mistakes. Long story short the owner forgot that she had back to back families coming into the house one family leaving at 11:00 am and us coming in at 4:00 . She thought we where not coming until the next day at 4:00 we walked into a mess. The trash had not been set out for the trash company to pick up that was discussing with trash over flowing and flies then thank goodness we where leaving when there was a snake right where all that trash was piled up. other then that if it was cleaned correctly and the trash cans dumped it would be a nice place to stay. We made the best of a bad situation. We also had to fix all of the remotes for the TVs and buy a new air filter for the house the owner did offer to pay us for that but we didn’t want to inconvenience the housekeeping to have to come bring us the money. Best housekeeper ever!

Very nice house and close to the beach

My family enjoyed our stay and had great time during our stay. The house is beautiful, cozy, clean and well stocked. The beds are comfortable. The beach is few minutes drive away. Kelly was a great host. Would definitely come again.

Great beach house

We had an amazing time! The owners have really thought of everything! There was nothing missing at all. There's even an umbrella and beach toys available. Very clean and comfortable and plenty for the kids to do. The communication and check in process was fast and easy. Would definitely recommend!

We have rented several homes on oak island but this one was truly special! Perfect for our family and fur baby! Great communication with owner and had everything we needed! Would definitely stay again! Love this one!

Great trip, Rough start

The inside of the house was beautiful, neat, and well-stocked. The outside needed a little TLC - or a lot. The stay was wonderful - comfortable beds, awesome showers, plenty of room, and a great kitchen. The only hitch was on our way down I tried to contact the owner and it took over four hours to get back to me. When we got there she hadn't told me how to get in the house. I asked the neighbor, but they didn't know. There wasn't anyone local I could ask. I only found the keys by accident. Considering how many of us had to use the bathroom by then, it was a very close call!
