Large open space was perfect for large group to hangout inside & out. Sofa beds needed updated so if you plan to use , bring air mattress or camping pad to put on for comfort. There are plenty of towels & washcloths. Spent 4 days & washer & dryer were a blessing

Thank you for the review and for letting us know about the sofa beds. We're having new ones installed in August so future guests shouldn't need to bring air mattresses :) I'm glad you found the amenities useful!

We had an amazing stay at this spacious lake house. Our group of three families had plenty of room to spread out while enjoying time together. The home was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described.The well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals for a large group. The outdoor space was a highlight, with hours spent enjoying the lake, relaxing, and making memories.The peaceful and convenient location, along with the responsive and easy-to-communicate host, exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this property for a spacious, comfortable lake house for a family getaway or group vacation.

House was great, Host was amazing, lake was kinda gross because of low water level but backyard was gorgeous.

You’re right that the water levels on Lake Placid have been lower recently due to the dam construction, but we have some exciting news! The dam project is complete and the lake is full again as of April 2026! We all really enjoyed this house. We're a group of couples that do getaways once a year. We have been coming to the New Braunfels/ Seguin/ McQueeney area for over 10 years. This home has allowed us to have lots of privacy and space when we needed it. We was so excited about the lake levels being back up. Check-in was very easy and the host responds and take of things very quickly.

My friends, family, and kids all had a great time at the lakehouse! We caught fish, made smores by the campfire, played pingpong and some other games we brought, and enjoyed an overall great weekend. We all liked the very spacious bedrooms, which is particularly great if you have smaller kids. The kitchen had everything we needed, and once we checked in we didn't have to leave at all. There's also lots of room to stretch out so you don't feel like you're cramped, even with a lot of guests. Highly recommend!.

Great stay in McQueeney

Our first family reunion was a great success partly due to our accommodations. 11 adults,1 teen, 12 children ages 11-3, and one toddler all enjoyed the sleeping space, the great room the lawn and and river with the dock access.

We were a large group in town for my brother’s funeral. My sister in law’s house was too small to entertain so many family members and friends and the McQueeney house was perfect. Only 10 of us stayed overnight but it couldn’t have been better. Close to the funeral in New Braunfels and close-ish to Fort Sam Houston. It was beautiful and comfortable and well appointed. Great Riverfront home!

The home was really spacious for the amount of people we had. Rooms are very large, living and kitchen space is massive. The balcony is perfectly located looking over the back yard and river. Jessica, the owner was very communicative and was very quick to reply and help.

Feels like you are in a tree house!

The house and property are amazing! The house is elevated so you feel like you’re in a treehouse. The layout is perfect for a large family. Plenty of room for everyone and everything you need. We would love to stay here again!

Huge accommodating Home!

Beautiful view! The water was quite low, but we did actually swim one day and it was great! Plenty of space for Family games and activities! We were very comfortable in this home!

GREAT PLACE TO BE

We had a women’s ministry rest at Jessica’s, and she was so communicative with us the whole time! We had so much space to play games, do discussion, and we loved the outside even though it was chilly. We also loved that all the rooms were on the same floor. The kitchen was so well stocked and we were able to use the appliances without struggling.

AMAZING!!!!

This place was advertised as great but it was SO MUCH BETTER than I could have asked for! A great place for multiple people and every room was perfect. I’m ready to book for next year!!!

Fantastic w/Amazing Space

We had such a fun few days together as a family at this beautiful property. We loved staying in what we fondly called “our tree house”, and the grand kids thought it was completely the coolest place ever! There is plenty of space to spread out, while feeling cozy at the same time. We absolutely loved our stay and would suggest it to anyone who might be looking for a place for their family and or friends to gather.
