Ave. Experience

Property and condo owner good. Condo AC did not work when we arrived. Once we could finally reach owner they did a good job to promptly get an AC Tech to repair. Using the VRBO site was not very user friendly. Was hard to navigate VRBO web site and even when it did work.

Great place just minutes from the beach

Everything was so nice. From the pool to the beach to the boat we had a blast! Definitely will book here again next summer.

Home away from home

10 out of 10 would recommend over and over again the property was clean it was in a great neighborhood it was close to the beach for my family and i. The host was amazing the check-in process was very simple and was sent to my email. I had no problems whatsoever this condo came with everything and then some it's a home away from home if I had more money I would have stayed longer in all honesty. The post was so kind and accommodating I will never forget this trip. I cannot thank the host enough

Initially we started out at this unit but had some issues with plumbing , the owner graciously moved us to another Condo located elsewhere bc he couldn’t get a plumber for a few days, we was very happy with where we were but equally happy where we wound up. The owner was very willing to make our stay enjoyable and it was. So my five stars are for both places, I’d definitely rent again

Perfect for us.

We were looking for a place close by our friends who were staying in Englewood. This was the perfect location for us. We were within walking distance to one of their favorite restaurants, The Lighthouse Grill. This condo was very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly.

We selected this property because it was within walking distance of family in the area. It was clean and fully furnished. There were even 3 children’s bikes, which the kids enjoyed. This property was also within walking distance to the Lighthouse Bar and Grille, which is a good place to dine and listen to music. The beach, other dining, and shopping are a short drive away.

Amazing stay!

Our recent stay at this property was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and charm of the place. The house was well maintained and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the living areas were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location was ideal, offering a peaceful and scenic environment while still being close to local attractions and dining options. We visited the restaurants that were in the listing post and loved them. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an enjoyable getaway!

Not The Best Place...

Laid back little area, only 9 min drive to Englewood Beach & 20 mins to Manasota Beach. Larry's Lunchbox & Texas Best Barbecue were scrumptious & the private community pool was refreshing!Host response was pretty decent, initially. Yet, once I sent a msg of the issues, we didn't hear from him for 2 days. He said he was traveling with limited phone service. Guests should have a heads up when their host may be unavailable for days. One of the queen comforters was unlaundered, as I was able to scrub some of the stains off with a baby wipe. Kitchen counter had crumbs & sticky spots, and some dishes had crusted food stuck on, prior to our usage. Of the 4 beach towels, 2 had very strong fishy type smells. When he finally did respond, he said he'd need photos - which is completely understandable, but I didn't take any.Numerous mosquitoes were INSIDE the unit & we got ate up while sleeping each night. We were very careful not to leave doors even cracked & closed them very quickly when we entered & exited, but somehow they were still everywhere! Maybe they enter via vents or drains bc the bathroom was constantly swarmed - huge problem. Lots of big ants in the carport. He said mosquitoes bad this time of year (again, heads up would've been nice) & that HOA handles pest control. Additional pest control is much needed. The patio area should be cleaned after each guest & chair cushions need a good wash. Stray trash in the yard & standing water out front. Would not stay again.

Exactly as described

This was our 1st Vrbo stay ever and we weren’t sure what to expect. Happy to have stayed at this one. It was as described. Loved the pool and wish we had spent more time in it. Kitchen was fully stocked. Loved having a laundry room. Made traveling so much easier. Instructions were easy to follow and the host responded immediately with any questions. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful 6 days at this property. The host was very easy to reach with any questions. The location is good - close enough to enjoy the beaches and other areas. Yet it was very quiet and not in a crowded area. The furniture showed some rental wear. The bed was great! It was too cool to use the pool but it looked very clean and inviting! The host had many extras at the rental to use. Bikes and everything you needed for the beach - except a shelling net! We had a great experience!

Great Value, Very Clean, Perfect for our needs

Property was clean. Host was easy to work with. Lots of extras included such as kayak, paddle boards, beach chairs etc, unfortunetly we didn't have time to use. Comfortable beds. Pictures are very accurate. Pool was warm even though cooler weather which was nice. Nice grill and patio to sit on as well. Nieghborhood is still recovering from storm damage. Nieghborhood itself felt very safe and was close to marina. Location worked great for us. Hopefully will stay here again in the future while our house is being built.

Pros and Cons

I’m surprised to see so many glowing reviews here. While it had some pros, there were many cons. PROS: -Very well stocked kitchen: spice rack, pots/pans, countertop appliances. -Proximity to beach (but absolutely NOT walking distance) and a tiki bar. -Very nice grill. -Nice extra amenities like beach chairs, bikes, cute beach towels, etc. -When we were there, the pool was very warm. -TV has lots of streaming services -Shampoo/conditioner provided. -Close to stores like Publix, Bealls, etc. CONS: -Smelled terrible upon arrival, like a dingy apartment building (we asked VRBO to let us out of the rental, but they said their policy was to support hosts not guests…interesting). We spent hours trying to rid the smell by cleaning and bought air fresheners. Smell improved after a couple days. -Vents, fans, blinds, lampshades, window ledges, furniture and wall decor were noticeably dusty. When we contacted the host, he just kept saying the unit was cleaned. Guess we have different standards. We asked him to come see for himself, but he stopped responding. -NO TOP SHEETS on beds. Host strangely believes duvet takes place of top sheet. We bought sheets at Walmart for the beds as well as one for covering the very soiled couch -toilet is old and seal is rotting and leaks at times. -many outlets broken -patio has a slumped and moldy fence and a broken window in the storage area. Screen ripped. -Deadbolt doesn't work. It was a good price but we got what we paid for.

4th of July opening Surprise!

Last minute run to visit family. Pool was huge hit for the "after beach" evenings! About 9 min to the beach with a great little vibe restaurant! Kitchen well stocked! Will definitely be back on my visits!

Very clean comfortable condo with lots of helpful details like a well stocked kitchen, nice linens, beach supplies and very new king mattress in the master bedroom. The pool was also very clean although it was too cold to swim while I was there.
