This beautiful Appalachian style log home sits high atop the mountain with spectacular long range views. Picture yourself enjoying a cup of coffee on the expansive deck while you watch the mist of the Great Smokys burn off and reveal the mountains below one by one. Finish off your day in the mountains, watching the sunset as the stars illuminate in the sky, immersing yourself in the hot tub right on your own deck. You'll feel your body shedding the stresses of everyday life, and remembering why you went on vacation. To relax, and get away.

Decorated impeccably with the highest quality rustic furnishings Hawks Ridge will give you a magical feel. Amenities include 20 foot wood beamed ceilings, oak hardwood floors, a carved and handcrafted log staircase, and a magnificent floor to ceiling Colorado River rock fireplace.

The cabin features a loft, two bedrooms and two and a half baths. The full size kitchen is fully equipped with all top quality appliances and utensils.

For your entertainment the cabin offers 3 TV's, one large HD flat screen in the living room, plus a 32 inch LCD in the master, and a 27 inch TV in the loft. The living and master bedroom TVs are equipped with DirecTV HD service

Outside amenities include a 6 person Hot Tub, gas grill, and a fire pit (wood provided) with seating for 6 people. Enjoy a meal on the covered front deck at the patio table or just relax on the rockers.

Hawks Ridge is located just 10 minutes from Bryson City, 15 minutes from the the Nantahala Outdoor Center and just outside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

This cabin which sleeps up to 6 people is perfect for a romantic getaway, couples get together, a family vacation or family event.

Please note that in order to access the cabin, and it's beautiful views, you have to travel up a mountain road. It is paved 95% of the way, and hard-packed gravel the other 5%, and easy enough to acess the cabin with any vehicle with 4 wheels (cars, trucks, SUVs, etc. Note: you DO NOT need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up to the cabin). However, the cabin CANNOT be accessed with a motorcycle. There are numerous switch-backs on the road up to the cabin, and inherently dangerous for any 2 wheeled vehicle. We have had guests leave their motorcycles down from the mountain, in a safe environment, and then drive up to the cabin in another vehicle. Arrangements can be made if that is helpful to you.

Very clean, comfortable, spacious, and welcoming. The views were stunning. It was wonderful relaxing in the hot tub looking out at the scenery. We are a family of 5 and there was plenty of room to spread out. The pool table was great, giving us a fun activity to do while hanging out at the cabin. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Awesome Escape

The mountain views from the property were spectacular and the wall of windows allowed us to enjoy the scenery even while inside the home. The property was clean and in excellent condition. I would strongly recommend this property when staying in the Bryson City area.

Short getaway

The property was great! Driveway is very steep but that’s to be expected. The view makes it worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only complaint would be not being able to check in until 5pm. I felt like for as much as we paid, we didn’t get much time.

Lovely six-night getaway

Lovely cabin. Decorated very nicely. Loved all the little black bears! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed (except a colander😊). The showers were also great! The drive up and down the mountain is a bit of a challenge, but we came for the view! And the view is fantastic! We also enjoyed shopping in Cherokee!

Gorgeous View!!!

We loved Hawks Ridge!!! The cabin was wonderful. The view was fantastic!!! The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever had away from home. Great host and great communication! I highly recommend reading the most recent guest journal entries when you arrive. We didn't read them until the end of our stay.

Large deck with beautiful view of mountains

Nicely furnished cabin; everything in good working order. Felt secluded in July but would not be as much in winter with little foliage. Easy check in/out. Great location for GSMR and not far from Deep Creek area. Fontana Lake is absolutely beautiful. We were thankful for a cabin that allowed our dogs, however please be aware that there are only 2 trails in all of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park that allow dogs.

Fabulous view

Views are stunning. House is well equipped - except who doesn’t have a cheese grater? Everything was comfortable & welcoming. Only negative (and it is small) was the drive to get there after the turn off from the highway. If you want to get away from everything- this is a perfect place. If you want to do things, the drive from the house is tiresome. Great wifi ! Did very much enjoy our stay! Thanks

Turn right and then up...

When you say it's wayyy up the mountain, you were not joking, the views are great. The cabin is very comfortable and spacious. All the amentities of home, the pool table really got a work out. Outside you can enjoy the hot tub, sit and rock or take a walk up the path and pick black berries. We do anything outdoors so this was the perfect location for us. The NOC is close by, fly fishing, canopy tours as well as the Smoky Mountain Railroad. We will be back soon.

My husband and I try to get away to the mountains every fall to relax and enjoy the changing leaves. We've rented at least 5 different VRBO homes, but this one was the best! The owners answered all our questions during the rental process and were very friendly and helpful. As others have said, the road (or should i say climb) to the house is very steep. My husband loved it, i just closed my eyes. Of course, having driven so far up, we realized we were probably going to have a wonderful view. And did we ever! The house was immaculate, very warm and cozy, and just perfect. I can't think of anything we needed that wasn't included. We went to Klingman's Dome, downtown Bryson City for an Arts and Crafts fair, and we hiked one of the Smoky Mountain Parks. In the news this week has been a report of an elk rubbing his antlers against a photographer in the Smoky Mountains. We drove by the area where this happened, and there were at least a dozen elk by the side of the road. One last comment. We've never rented a home without having "neighbors" we could see and hear. Even in the pictures of this home, I thought I saw a roof from another home. Nope. You can't see or hear anyone from the porch. It was wonderful!

Family Mountain Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at this mountain cabin. The view was incredible and we enjoyed sitting on the deck taking in the gorgeous scenery. The kitchen was well equipped and provided everything we needed to prepare our meals. My children enjoyed the pool table and it provided hours of family entertainment. The cabin shows some wear, but was clean and comfortable. I felt the beds were very comfortable. I would suggest making the description of the drive up to the cabin a little clearer. It is quite up there on a single lane, windy, steep road. The drive becomes less intimidating the more you do it but it was really not expected. It did make for some white knuckle driving. LOL Overall our family really had an enjoyable stay at this property.

Unbelievable view

We stayed here for a week and had a great time. The house was clean, comfortable and convenient. We loved the view and the climb up the mountain was a great experience. Everyone 8enjoyed the pool table and hot tub daily. We had 6 of us but the two teens took the window bed and the futon and never complained once. We had trouble in day one when the kitchen faucet broke. I texted on Sunday morning and they came out and looked at it that day. They offered to come and fix it later that day but we told them we were ok and they could wait until Monday. They fixed it with a new faucet first thing in the morning. The communication while figuring out what needed to be done with the faucet was excellent. Excellent stay!

Good view, nasty hot tub.

Overall, property is as advertised. View is beautiful and the house itself is well-maintained. Pros -Beautiful views -comfortable furnishings -plenty of kitchenware Cons -hot tub was disgusting. Advises property management, they sent someone out, still disgusting. Large brown scum rings around the top, couldn’t see the bottom, overall nasty. It was a selling point for us, and couldn’t enjoy. -property management did not provide correct sheets for futon.

Family trip

I went with my two college age boys and husband and had great time at cabin. Loved cleanliness and all utensils for cooking! View was great and everything was super clean, would stay again!

Love the Smokey Mountains

This cabin has beautiful views. It does need some updating and it definitely needs mobs on the light switches. It also needs at least one spatula, We had to buy one in town, just so we could cook eggs for breakfast. Be careful you will run out of hot water if you take a long shower.. The bed upstairs is not comfortable but the one downstairs is very comfortable. I know there is not much you can do about the Beatles but they are icky and there is a lot of them especially on warm sunny days, We enjoyed our stay but I wouldn’t book this cabin again because the price is to high for what you get.

The most amazing view

The view from this cabin cannot be oversold; it is amazing! The listing pics are accurate, and the kitchen is well-furnished with pots, pans, pitchers, cooking utensils, roasting forks for the fire pit, grill utensils, etc. The road up to the cabin is a small, twisting, mountain road, as one should expect when getting a top-of-the-mountain cabin, but the road is paved until the cabin driveway. We will be coming back!

Beautiful mountain view

This is the perfect getaway cabin! Great views and excellent way to relax day or night!! We loved sitting in the hot tub and looking at the stars!! We had plenty of attractions to go to and plenty of places to shop! We will definitely be visiting this cabin again in the near future!!
