This charming, newly renovated retreat offers a clean and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for families looking to unwind and create lasting memories. Enjoy modern amenities, spacious living areas, and a serene environment just steps from beautiful beaches and local attractions. Whether you're exploring the island or relaxing at home, our cottage is the ideal base for a memorable getaway.

Welcome to the ‘Wigwam’! This quaint cottage underwent a recent major renovation. Our interior designers created fresh vibrant spaces while keeping the character of the historic home. We love sharing our happy place.

This lovely four-bedroom cottage was built in 1860 as one of the original homes on Kelleys Island. You will enjoy the modern open concept kitchen space with quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a farmhouse sink.

The dining area features a vintage harvest table, original to the cottage, with built in seating for up to 10. This is a perfect spot for dinners or games. A coffee bar and beverage fridge await guests.

The living area has a Smart TV with a comfy sectional, additional seating, and many family board games are available to enjoy.

The cozy front porch has more seating, a table and chairs for games or puzzles, and is a perfect spot to sip on your morning coffee.

The first floor has a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bathroom.

Upstairs, there are three more bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one that offers a full bed and a third that has three single beds.

Also included is a guest house studio complete with a queen bed, sleeper sofa, kitchenette and full bath.

A large patio area offers a gas grill, dining set, and fire pit perfect for a campfire and s’mores. A large yard is great for outdoor activities: corn hole and other yard games are provided.

Six vintage island bicycles await to explore the island.

Wigwam at Kellys

Beautiful home. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience taking my elderly parents back to a vacation spot from our childhood. Host have this home very well accommodated for large family gatherings. We’ll definitely look at a return visit in the future.

Charming and cozy getaway

This property is exceptional! It was Very clean, charming and cozy. Plenty of space to spread out with your family. Many different spaces to relax like the back patio swing, family room or front porch. The backyard is large and we often enjoyed watching bunnies or deer pass through. It is a quiet spot that still felt close to the main attractions!

A trip that will be remembered

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful “cabin” so beautiful and comfortable-slept like a baby - exactly as shown and plenty of room to hang out - play games - cook/grill - sleep. My favorite spot was the swinging bench/bed for relaxing. We loved the yard and the bikes. Hope to be back again next year!

Kellys 2024 Family Vacation

This was the second year we stayed at the Wigwam and we loved it. Our adult kids requested we go back this year and we did. I have a feeling we will go back in 2025 also. Great property with great new owners. Thank you !!

The house was clean and no surprises. Sitting out back and interacting with family was the best. The winery is right around the corner with great service and food.

Great place to host a family gathering

Everything about the house met our expectations! House is beautiful and held 10 adults really well plus small kids. Great location easy to get everywhere by bike or golf cart. I’d highly recommend this rental.

Stunning Property

We had four generations staying together and we could not have asked for a more perfect spot. We enjoyed every meal on the patio and the kids loved catching lightening bugs on the HUGE property. Highly recommend - we'll be back!

Kelley's Island Wigwam

Older home that has been completely renovated. Extremely clean. We had 6 adults and 5 children and there was plenty of room. Home includes a separate room behind the garage with a bed, sofa bed, bathroom and refrigerator. Lot is very big with plenty of room for games with the children. Would highly recommend this for a family getaway.

Loved this home!

Beautiful house. Just a few minutes from everything…. water, the town, and the state park swimming area. Saw a gorgeous sunset from “rocky beach” each night that was about a 4 min drive from the house.

Small business retreat

Our work team visited for a retreat. The property and the island were a perfect chance to reset and recharge. Fall is absolutely beautiful there. Our group of 6 women and 3 men had plenty of privacy and room to sleep. The cottage is beautifully decorated and appointed!

Perfection on KI

This property and its owner provide perfection on KI. First, the property and house are adorable and stocked with everything needed to enjoy the stay on the island. The location is amazing. The outdoor patio and firepit area allows for morning coffee and nighttime stargazing. The house is decorated with care and provides the feel of Island time. It is clean, spacious and full of amenities. The second building is a wonderful 2 person suite decorated with the same island vibe. Joe, the property owner, is wonderful to work with. He can answer questions promptly, provide a local’s knowledge of the island and is super helpful. Our entire party loved every aspect of this property. We will be back to KI and will definitely stay here again.

Great Stay

This house is absolutely beautiful. Our family really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others. Joe was very helpful and informative. Super super cute home! The only recommendation would be a bigger trash can in the garage. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time here. Thanks Joe for allowing us to enjoy this piece of paradise.

Excellent weekend house

Our group was 9 adults 40+ y/o. The house was perfect! Beautifully decorated, great group spaces inside and out. Everything was very clean and check in was a breeze. Owner reached out to make sure we were good. My only recommendation would be to have a larger garbage can in the garage. Plan to return in the future!

Family and Friend Vacation

Our friends and family lovedddd this property! We had so much fun on our vacation. Our group was about 10 people and we all fit comfortably. There is great outdoor space, lots of activities, clean bathrooms, functional kitchen, and good sized bedrooms! The owner is super nice and was extremely helpful as well! We highly recommend and appreciated the opportunity to stay here while we roamed the Islands :)

Trip with friends

We had so much fun on our weekend trip to Kelley’s! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed to make the weekend enjoyable. Including pots and pans for cooking, a grill, fire pit and outdoor games! Check-in was easy and the host was very attentive! This is definitely a house we’ll visit again!

A gem on KI

We celebrated the Fourth of July holiday on Kelley's Island with our family and couldn't have asked for a better property. The owner was responsive and the property was impeccable. The detail and thought that was put in to the home amazed us. The property had everything we wanted and more which made packing even easier for us. We can't wait to go back again. Highly recommend!

Family vacation on Kelleys at the Wigwam

This house is beautiful. The pictures do not give you the warmth of this home. We stayed for almost a week with our children their spouses and the grand children. It exceeded our expectations. We have 3 granddaughters and the 3 single bed bedroom was a dream come true for them. So cozy and many memories for them. Loved the original wigwam table. We could all set at it. And front porch was heavenly with my coffee in the mornings. As the grandkids/ children woke they joined me on the porch for cuddles. The guest house helped with our 9 month old. A quiet place for him to nap and sleep. The back yard hosted our kick ball games. Its huge! Our host had the house set with everything we needed and then some. And responded promptly to any question or need. We will definitely stay at this beautiful home again. Our grandson did not want to come home.

Hi, we’re Mike and Allison Will, and we live full-time in neighboring Sandusky, Ohio. In addition to hosting The Wigwam, we also own the charming white cottage with the pink door just south of it. We absolutely love visiting Kelleys Island throughout the year—it’s the perfect place for our family to relax, unwind, and escape the stresses of daily life. We enjoy riding bikes around the island, taking golf cart rides, hiking the many trails, and watching the abundant wildlife on our properties. Of course, we also love dining at the local island restaurants and playing in nearby Lake Erie. Being hosts allows us to share this beautiful place with others, and it’s a joy to see guests experience the same peace and enjoyment we find here.

It's peaceful and quiet, offering the sense of luxury camping, yet it’s only a short distance from the lively action of downtown. We love the tranquility of the area, with the sounds of birds chirping and the occasional deer or fox crossing through the yard. The large yard is a great place for family activities, whether it’s playing catch, enjoying a picnic, or just relaxing under the trees. It’s a place that feels like an escape from the hustle and bustle while still being close enough to everything we love.
