Exactly as described. Very close and convenient access to beach. Cozy vintage vibe kind of place. Great communication when we had trouble with the internet outage in the area.

Cozy basement stay so close to the beach! Chairs and small umbrellas and beach towels provided- we had everything we needed for our couple days away with our pup.

I loved the easy access to the beach and the quiet stay. The property was clean and cozy with soothing lighting and a very quiet street that was wonderful after a lot of time out everyday. It was a great fit for my elderly dog who I knew had a calm safe space when I wasn't around. Parking right by the door and there being no stairs that she needed to navigate made everything much easier with her age and size - the space also made it easy to keep an eye on her. Communication was easy and simple and the host was so considerate. I would love to stay here again if I'm in the area.

We ABSOLUTELY enjoyed our stay in Isle of Palms. The place has a beachy, vintage vibe that we adored. It was wonderful being in walking distance of what felt like our own private beach. The owner was super helpful and responded quickly when we had a minor issue with the house. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

I hate to put anything out negative. The rental was very eclectic to say the least. It is very musty. I emptied the dehumidifier 2 to 3 times a day. I had to wash everything fabric we had as soon as we got home. It was so musty. The house is over grown. You are in a basement apartment. It is quaint. The person that is actually doing the renting is very sweet. I really wished I would have booked a condo instead. This is making me a little hesitant to book another VRBO. I have asthma, so this was especially hard on my breathing. If someone is looking at this rental, understand it is musty.

The only complaint is the wifi. The manager communicated very well. The outside appearance is rough but don't let that scare you away. The apartment is quirky and nice.

The listing was accurate, the kitchen was fully-equipped with what I needed to cook, the walk to the beach was short, and the space was exactly what I needed. I had a great vacation!

Initial impression: Property is a dump. Vegetation overgrown, debris scattered about, old rotting sandbags at front windows,overgrown thorny bushes I had to remove in the parking area to protect ourselves, the dog, and access my car. Outdoor seating area was dark, dank, and dirty.Inside: Smelled bad. Dehumidifier and 2 air purifiers running. Air purifier filters so clogged and dirty we removed & bagged them. First time we sat on the sofa, bugs hopped on us. They looked like fleas but didn't bite. They were everywhere. On the dining table, hopping in our food and wine, in the kitchen. Just everywhere. No kitchen rags and towels. Had to use bath towels. Twice the owner/Mgr did not respond to our inquiries. Shower is so narrow that a person larger than 18" couldn't access. Location was good. That's about it. Returning? Nope. Upset? Yep. I expected more from our nightly rate/total money spent. I am a VRBO Premier Host and know how properties should be run and marketed. This is not one of them.

Very nice, small but perfect for a couple who doesn’t mind just having a place to sleep and rest. If you plan on spending a lot of time on the beach this place is perfect.

Weekend Getaway

We stayed for 4 days in April and enjoyed our time! The beach is just a short walk away and the house is filled with anything you would need on a vacation.
