Great Location but lack of Communication
We have stayed at Aqua many times over the last 15 years. This year all the grand kids were joining & some cousins in another unit. We specifically SELECTED Aqua for they enjoy the heated pool that goes from the inside to the outside pool. Super fun for the kids! Also, during the Spring Break time a HEATED pool is a necessity. The mgt group/owner informed us about a potential balcony closure (which again during PEAK SB season, would have been a terrible disappointment...you PAY for ocean view). The week we were to arrive we were told the balcony was done & we'd be able to use it and the furniture. NOTHING was ever mentioned of the pool but upon arrival the HEATED pool was closed for the entire 2 week stay! So on our yearly anticipated SB trip, we did not get to use the pool AT all. The other pool was simply too cold to even put your feet it - painfully cold. Unfortunately you pay for the view & a heated pool this time of year and we lost the biggest amenity~the owner refused to compensate us at all. It was a bad experience in our 23 years of coming there & sad to say we will probably never return to Aqua. The staff was nice and explained that they did 1/2 the buildings balconies starting from the East to the middle finishing the West end in the Fall...even they agreed this made no sense "timing" because it caused closure of the heated pool in April and will close the non heated pool in October. Had this been communicated we would have cancelled & found a pool!!!
