This cozy cottage is just minutes from downtown Durango as well as two miles from Lake Nighthorse which is a lovely large recreational lake. The well appointed layout of this newly remodel space has a large downstairs bedroom, a gabled upstairs area that can accommodate an extra guest or can be used as an office. The kitchen opens up into a spacious dining area as well as a living room with a large screen TV and a sleeper sofa. If you are looking to sit outside and enjoy the sunset dipping behind the mountains you have a sun room to enjoy, if it is chilly out, or your own private side patio. Enjoy all Durango has to offer with hiking, paddle boarding, mountain biking and whitewater all within 10 minutes of this great setting.
This is a classic mother-in-law space that shares a wall with the main house.

Exceptional beautiful place!

Very clean and well equipped with everything you would need for a stay. The bed was so comfortable. Just a few minutes from Durango. We would highly recommend.

A Comfortable Stay

The cozy cottage was perfect for our stay. Beds were comfortable, the place was clean and well stocked and we enjoyed being away from the town and seeing wildlife. Kristin was a wonderful host and seemed to think of everything when it came to the cottage. We'll definitely be going back!

Perfect for our Trip

Everything worked extremely well and the accommodations were just great for our trip. Quiet, fully stocked, easy to access and close to town. We would not hesitate to return in the future.

Pleasant place to stay

Perfect Spot

Kristin and Sean’s place is peaceful, clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. We felt welcomed and loved returning there after our day trips. It’s a perfect location: quiet but only 10 minutes drive to downtown Durango.

Awesome stargazing

About 10 minutes from Durango so the stars were amazing. Lovely place, very clean and Kristin had everything we needed in kitchen and bathroom. Highly recommend.

Cozy little cottage

The cottage was a perfect place for us. We enjoyed the setting. Especially seeing the deer each evening. Kristin was great! Very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again if in the area.

Pretty Home Away from Home

Comfortable and pretty little cottage/mother in law house with views of the forest. Quiet neighborhood and house had everything my family needed to enjoy a few days away in Durango CO. A short drive to the Durango but tucked away in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting in the sunroom and watching the deer graze.

Great Place in Durango

Great place close to town in Durango. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. My friend and I enjoyed our stay with it's convenient location to downtown. I would stay here again.

Summer vacay

We were Texans escaping the heat and this places was absolutely perfect. Set outside of town on a beautiful piece of property it was absolutely serene. This place was exquisite. It was absolutely spotless and extremely eco-friendly which we absolutely loved. The hosts were extremely accommodating for some of our requests and for that we greatly appreciated it.. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the city of Durango!!!

A slice of paradise

This place is perfect! It attaches to the house next to the garage so there is no noise from the house and we had privacy. Kristin has taken care of every detail. Everything was clean with great organic products to use. This is only about 10 minutes from town, but feels quiet, remote, and secluded. I would highly recommend this lovely little cottage!

Quiet beautiful getaway

We loved this very nice spotless apartment. Lots of room for the two of us to relax, cook some meals and enjoy a little Colorado mountain solitude while we attended our sons wedding in the Durango area.
