Take a step back in time at this unique and tranquil getaway. Originally built in the late 1800's and nestled in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. The Vicar House offers 1bedroom with a trundle day bed, an upstairs loft bedroom with a king size bed, updated bathroom, and full kitchen accommodations. Enjoy your time lounging on the back deck, roasting marshmallows in your firepit, rocking on the front porch, or dipping your toes in our refreshing Watauga River frontage! You are sure to relax in the quite country atmosphere!
Don't forget to enjoy the surrounding area attractions like the Valle Crucis Park and historical Mast General Store. Take a scenic drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway or visit nearby Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk where shopping, seasonal skiing, and fantastic restaurants are always at your fingertips.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cute cozy cabin. We had all the essentials needed for our stay. The kids really enjoyed seeing all the wildlife around and seeing the baby cows on the path up to the cabin. The host was very responsive to messages.

Beautiful little cabin. Everything we needed was provided. Quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed watching the doe and her 2 babies come through every morning and evening.

Wonderful rustic cabin with everything we needed. Woke up to deer grazing in the yard every morning! My wife has a serious lung disease and the wonderful climate of this area really seemed to ease her symptoms!

Our stay was wonderful, and we loved the cabin. Enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend.

We could not help the heat that had come through for a couple of weeks and since you stayed, we added another air-conditioning unit to try and make it more comfortable for everyone. Sorry if it was any inconvenience.

This place was a perfect quick stay for our visit. Was very clean, cleaner than most cabins (which is ok) but this exceeded expectations. Had a couple portable and window AC units which I worried may not be up to the task on a summer day but they far exceeded expectations keeping the whole cabin comfortable. Everything we needed extra toilet paper, paper towels, etc seemed to be in the first place we looked which seemed well thought out and user friendly. We will definitely be looking at booking in the future again here. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Everything was amazing. The host thought of every little detail, from umbrella to reusable grocery bag. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we lacked nothing!

Well equipped cozy cabin. No AC upstairs. Fortunately, nights were in the 50s. .Might need a new screen in window upstairs. Super quiet and relaxing. Beautiful area. Deer in backyard.

This cabin was so incredibly clean and well maintained. Literally has everything you need for a stay. So much to do around the area and the deer that come through the yard randomly are so beautiful to watch. It will definitely be a place we come back to.

I like being a host so that other people can see what I fell in love with up here that made me move. We recently had a hurricane come through here so things aren’t quite back to normal but enough so that we could get back up and running.. (or should I say strolling. )
