Welcome to Bubbly Cottage where mountain charm meets modern conveniences! You are in the center of it all but will find yourself in a tranquil retreat in this cozy home featuring 2 master bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a screened-in porch, and a fire pit. Sip your coffee and listen to the bubbling creek before wandering over to Main Street to visit boutique shops, try local restaurants and catch some live entertainment. Be sure to check out the nearby waterfalls and hiking trails before heading back to relax by the fireplace with loved ones.

Cottage by the brook

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bubbly cottage. It’s so beautifully decorated & very cozy. We enjoyed the back yard view & its proximity to Main Street. We highly recommend it.

Absolutely charming cottage!!

We stayed here for two nights and this cottage was truly terrific! It was so clean and was decorated beautifully with such attention to detail and so well thought out! The host was wonderful. The location was absolutely perfect, so close to downtown Highlands! I would % come stay here again and would highly recommend!!

NYE in Highands

The property is just as pictured with sufficient space to accommodate two couples comfortably. The location is very convenient to downtown Highlands as well as local attractions and hiking trails. The beds were very comfortable and the split plan of the house allowed for privacy. The abundant supply of firewood was a great bonus. We cooked a few meals and the kitchen was adequately supplied, however it could use a reorganization and addition of pans and utensils. Communication was a negative. We asked if possible for early check-in or at least option to drop off food in the refrigerator and never heard a response until way after check-in time. We communicated when we checked-out and again never got a response. This did not spoil our vacation. We would recommend this home for two couples traveling together.

Wonderful visit to Highlands! Bubbly was well appointed and comfortable. Very family friendly. Great location so close to town. Would book again.

Wedding planning trip

Loved the property and accommodations… creek outside was beautiful with nice set up for making a fire and seating next to the stream … very cozy inside with wood burning fireplace and plenty of fire wood. Very well appointed. Host was attentive to any request! Would highly recommend!

Lovely

We came for our son’s 12 year old birthday. This home was lovely! Peaceful, fantastic beds and so convenient. We enjoyed sitting by the campfire, listening to the creek!

Perfect house and location!

Great location and great house for our first time to Highlands. The house was perfect. Best part of our stay might be the bear that visited us twice while sitting around the fire pit in the late afternoons. Very cool!

Wonderful Stay at Highlands NC!

Beautiful home with all the conveniences. Loved the fire pit with the creek and waterfall in the backyard. The porch was awesome. Short 5 - 10 minute walk to downtown Highlands for shopping and restaurants. Property Manager was awesome. Everything was perfect for our trip. We hope to return again and again!

Perfect accommodations in the perfect location!

This cottage was clean, beautifully appointed, and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. As a bonus, it is located within walking distance of downtown Highlands. No complaints here!

Hurricane Helene

We arrived on A Monday. We had 3 good days in the Highlands. Then Hurricane Helene hit. We had no power, cell service or internet. Our cottage was fine. Our hosts checked on us to make sure we were ok. Unfortunately we had to leave early because of the hurricane, but would definitely come back to Bubbly Cottage. The cottage was just a wonderful and comfortable place to stay. So close to town , but with the feeling of being in the woods. So sad we had to leave, but glad we had a few good days.

Sweet Mountain Getaway

We stayed at The Bubbly during a wedding weekend. It was perfect for two couples to share with two private bedrooms with en suite and a lovely shared common space and well equipped kitchen. Unfortunately, it was a drizzly awakens so we did not get to enjoy the fire pit area that is nestled next to a babbling brook however we did take advantage of the swinging beds on the screened back porch! We enjoyed a nice fire while watching football. Everything was perfection!

Beautiful Bubbly!!!

We were in Highlands for our daughter’s wedding. From top to bottom inside and out the cottage was perfect. The space was larger than I expected and the beautiful back porch deck and garden by the stream was a perfect way to start our day. I was able to walk to town and our family really felt welcomed in your home. . We can’t wait to return and we so appreciated your hospitality.

A True Gem

From start to finish, this was a great experience. The host is a great commincator and you do not have to worry about being left hanging. A seamless check in process. The house is adorable, comfortable, clean, quiet and very nicely decorated. There are screened windows and fans in every room. There are window A/C units in both bedrooms and we did crank them up briefly at midday as it does sometimes get warmish even in Highlands. The kitchen is well equipped including a bottle of wine in the fridge waiting for you. I barely moved from the swings on the porch! As they say, location, location and this is the best one we've stayed at in many Highland vacations. We parked the car almost 100% and walked everywhere. The Adirondack chairs next to the bubbling brook will truly lead to a zen experience. We have already booked next summer and fall so better hurry!

Amazing property!

Loved this house so much and was perfect for what we needed for our Highlands weekend! The host was super easy to get in touch with and we had no issues at all on our end. She shared all details leading up to the trip and was quick to reply when small questions were asked. Highly recommend this property! Looks just like the pics and was an amazing house to vacation in.

Adorable cottage

Two couples enjoyed our stay in this cute little cabin like home. Highlands weather in June is unbeatable! We slept comfortably with the windows open and enjoyed the sound of the creek and nature. The home had everything we needed and would stay again.

Total Zen Experience

The Babbling Cottage is exactly as advertised! The cabin is spacious and filled with design details that rival your own home. Gabbi was very easy to contact when we had a quick question. We spent each morning and afternoon enjoying the solitude the babbling brook provided. And each evening we enjoyed the fire pit and long conversations. The cottage is easy walking distance to everything you'll want to do downtown and right across the street from the Performing Arts Center, so check their schedule. We took two waterfall hikes while there and again, easy distances. This is a great choice for two couples, or in our case a party of 3.

When I first saw Bubbly Cottage, I immediately fell in love with its location and setting. It is amazing to be so close to town (meaning...high heels to dinner!) while feeling so secluded. Listening to the creek while doing yoga or just napping on the back porch are both magical. I am so excited to share this special place with you!
