Welcome to the Getaway: a well-appointed 2BR in the mountains of Montreat, walkable to miles of hiking trails. Private w/ its own hot tub, patio, gas grill, fire pit & beautiful views.

This is the entire 1st floor of the house, with its own entrance, separate from other residents. This space shares a driveway with our other rental property, a studio apartment over the garage called "The Carriage House."

Private entrance, full kitchen w/ gas range, granite counters, DirecTV & Internet. One bedroom offers a queen-sized bed; the other bedroom has 2 twins and 1 full.

Close to Montreat Conference Center. 10 min from breweries, restaurants. 30 min to the Biltmore house & downtown Asheville.

This is the perfect balance between peace and quiet, located minutes away from fun activities for everybody.

Need more space? We have an additional studio apartment on property with its own separate entrance, kitchen, and hot tub. Check VRBO listing 2794723 for availability.

Had a lovely stay! We had trouble getting in but the host answered the phone quickly at 1 am and we were inside in no time! Will stay again!!

Perfect getaway

To our family it’s important to get to the mountains and support the local economies still hurting. Dan was great and very responsive. The property was perfect. The pictures made the property seem isolated. Not at all. Private but still close to Black Mountain and easy access to 40. Will be back!

Great place near Ashville

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a beautiful location and very comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was very relaxing. We enjoyed using the fire pit! It was very close to Asheville, but we had so much fun in Black Mountain that we only ended up going to Asheville once. The trail head restaurant, cousins, Cuban Café, my father’s, Pizza and pasta and the Dripolator coffee shop were awesome! We would definitely stay there again!

Excellent hiking location

We enjoyed our stay. We came to the area primarily to hike, and this property is within walking distance to the Lookout Trailhead. We found it to be very clean and comfortable. The hot tub is a definite plus at the end of the day.

Great property. I was in town for a conference and for the same price of a hotel, you get a hot tub all to yourself, large, private patio, nice kitchen and SPACE to spread out. The property manager responded instantly to any/all questions I had. Recommend 100%

Fall break

The apartment was very clean and was in a great location. We were visiting for my son's family weekend at Montreat and this worked out perfectly! I am sure we will book again!

So clean and perfect for our little family

We have spent a LOT of time in Montreat over the years and have slept in many a housing arrangement that gives Montreat its charm. This home had much of that character, but was fresh and new. The hot tub was a great addition and communication with the owner was a breeze. We will be returning soon!

Mountain get away

We both enjoyed the area and the home. The shops in town are quaint and offer a lot to see. If you’re interested in breweries, there everywhere. When we come back we will definitely do the cheese trail. We went to two of the many in the area, had a wonderful day.
