Open floor plan overlooking Bogue Sound with your own private dock and boat lift! Relax on the main level sound front covered deck and unwind as the sun sets. Enjoy your morning coffee from the covered master suite deck, also overlooking the sound. Build a fire and roast marshmallows over the brick fire pit overlooking the water. Included with your stay are two stand-up paddle boards as well as two kayaks for you to explore the sound and potentially catch your own fresh seafood. The beautiful Atlantic Ocean is less than a block's walk from your beach house. Other amenities include a large high-top dining table to seat up to six, large and comfy sectional couch. The bedrooms include (Master Suite) 1 King Sleep Number bed, (Guest 1) 1 Queen bed, (Guest 2) 2 twin beds. Convenience Store and Dollar Store are also within walking distance to pick up any last-minute items. Inquire about discounts for military, first responders, teachers, and senior citizens. Pets welcome with prior approval (some limitations apply). Unit is part of a duplex.

Absolutely perfect

We had an absolutely magical week staying at Simple Blessings! Max was the most curteous host we've ever had. The home was clean upon arrival. The view of the sound was just perfect. Having a fenced back yard made bringing our dogs a completely stress free vacation, and that is important to us! We caught crabs and fish off the pier, and our dogs absolutely LOVED swimming in the sound. The location to the ocean is easy access and easily walkable. The beds were VERY comfortable, we slept so good! We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Best of both worlds

View of the sound was just perfect. So peaceful just sitting on the decks looking over the water. Best part was the beach was just across the street. We could experience both each day. Loved it!

Perfect location for everything water!

Property was awesome! Our teenage children love everything water, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, sunbathing, fishing, crabbing out of your own backyard. Beautiful views from the multistory decks out the back. Walk right across the street to the ocean beach. Can’t beat it! Our Host was super helpful, and accommodating. We will be back!

Yearly seaside reunion

Wonderful home between sound and ocean ! So easy for our fishermen to walk across the street and for the ladies to find shell treasures. Lots of conk shells , dolphins and birds spotted Excellent lifeguards on duty whom we needed when my friend fell ! When there is low tide small pools form for kids to sit in ! House is as described but beware of steps inside and only wear shoes or non slip socks ! Lots of wonderful porches to sit on and a back yard Though the weather was cool we did so enjoy the peace and quiet. Owner left welcoming messages and a delicious ice cream cake ! Sun rises were spectacular .Thank you Blessings !

Good value

We stayed here for 4 nights so my spouse could relax awhile given his hectic schedule. We also traveled with our lab and are appreciative for the house being pet friendly. The house was just as described in listing and clean. Unfortunately the weather for our stay wasn’t good but we made the most of it. Location to beach is just across the street and house is on sound side. Emerald Isle has beautiful beaches and very family oriented. 7 minutes to restaurants and great walking/bike paths.

Great Emerald Isle Inland Waterway Location

This house is ideally located on the inland waterway with close proximity to the beach. We enjoyed inland water views from the house deck and from the pier. We also enjoyed walking the beach with ocean water views. The house owner went above and beyond in not only providing needed check in information, as well as local restaurant and activities recommendations. We were impressed.

We had a peaceful time at the house. It's nice to have access to the sound and kayaks. It's an easy walk to the beach. Max made everything easy by sending detailed information and communicating throughout the weekend as needed.

Sound Side Getaway

We love vacationing in the Emerald Isle area and decided to stay on the sound side this year . We found that Simple Blessings is the perfect place to stay! The house is well kept and the location is fantastic with the private dock to use and being next to the public dock and across the street from the public beach access ! Great communication with our host Max! Looking forward to next year!

Perfect!

This was an amazing property with spectacular views. Peace and quiet -exactly what we needed. The owner is extremely helpful, communicative and really resourceful. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend it. It’s the best of the sound and the ocean.

labor day weekend

Overall it was a positive stay. Pros- the owner is very responsive and fixed an issue with the water heater pretty promptly. He was very helpful to provide restaurants and other ideas for our stay. The VIEW is amazing of the sound! So relaxing and beautiful. Love the big windows. Multiple decks to enjoy the view. New grill to use. Supplied shampoo/conditioners for the bathrooms. Cons- the house needs some TLC. The kitchen cabinets are peeling, there were no dishtowels stocked to use, the blinds - many of them did not have wands to adjust them. It would be nice to have soap in the bathrooms provided and some toilet paper in all the bathrooms. Just for the price point, I would have expected a house in better shape. But again, we had a wonderful weekend with wonderful memories so at the end of the day that what matters!

Simply Blessing - Relaxing Oasis

When we first stumbled upon this home on VRBO, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch, but everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Max is the most thoughtful, gracious host. He provided us with all the information we needed, kayak rentals, shops, excursions, etc. The home was just perfect! Kitchen was spacious and contained everything one needs. The bed was comfortable and the balcony off the master was perfect for a morning coffee or star gazing at night. The location was incredible – sound view and only one block to the beach. Max provided excellent restaurant recommendations and was of great help. He went way beyond to make our vacation comfortable and memorable. Thanks Max and Simply Blessing for a wonderful vacation!

Loved staying on the sound

We really loved staying on the sound. This is a duplex, but we had really nice neighbors! It was great having access to a pier to fish and play in the water. The host was really nice and responded to all of our questions quickly.

Best vacation for beach and sound views

If you want a prime location, this is the place for you! Enjoy the water sports in the sound and short walk to the beach! Max is the best host we have ever encountered with immediate attention to your every need. Many locations within duplex for eating breakfast lunch or dinner. You can choose areas on back porch, front porch, dining room, pier, or fire-pit area. The sunset over the sound is breathtaking.

Best of both worlds

We had a wonderful stay. The house is clean and comfortable and the location can't be beat. You'll be right on the Sound and directly across the street from a public beach. The kayaking is fantastic, but definitely bring water shoes or an old pair of sneakers, as the Sound is pretty shallow, and the bottom has a lot of oyster shells. We've used VRBO for years, and can guarantee you won't find a kinder or more responsive homeowner anywhere. Mr. Creech even emailed restaurant recommendations and riptide alerts to us. He's the best of the best.

June 24-July 1 stay

Pros: Owner/manager (Max) could not have been more helpful - super responsive, helpful and available at any time we needed help. Really, really appreciate that! Location was wonderful - easy access to beach or sound. Lots of good restaurants nearby, as well as easy grocery shopping,etc. Slight Con: Some prominent stains on carpeting upstairs (although I guess that may be expected with a pet-friendly rental). Yard was pretty overgrown, but was nice to have a fenced in yard. I'm sure this was just my oversight, but I didn't realize the property was a duplex until we arrived, just in case that makes a difference to anyone. Overall: Would stay there again, especially if Max is in charge. :)

Simple Blessing-Review

Simple Blessings was perfect stay for our family. The unit was on the sound side which acted as our large pool as well as paddle boarding in the evenings. The ocean is a block in the other direction so placement was perfect. The unit was clean, comfortable and exactly what we were looking for. Max was also a great host and very responsive.

Wonderful Getaway

Very nice property with an open concept kitchen. We loved our time on the downstairs deck enjoying the water view and breeze, which was very relaxing. The property has a nice pier for fishing or boating. Max was a great host. We look forward to returning.

Great location

We loved the location, plus we were a few minutes from restaurants & grocery stores. The host was wonderful and was very helpful when we needed to contact him. We will definitely come back to this property later in the year.

Beautiful House right on Sound and 1 block to ocean!

We loved our stay at Simple Blessings. The house is very welcoming with lots of sun through the numerous large windows. The sofa makes you never want to leave the living room, the beds are really comfy, and the kitchen well appointed. The decks overlooking the sound are perfect for an evening glass of wine. The location, both to the water and to local shops is perfect. Very clean and well maintained. We will eagerly return. Max, the host, is remarkably good with regard to making you feel welcome! In sum--nothing could be better.

Christmas stay

Property was as advertised. Stunning views of the sound and just across the road from public access beach. As we were staying at Christmas we did not make use of outdoor supplies but would highly recommend drinks at sunset on the back decks in warmer weather. I knocked a star off cleanliness due to carpet stains in multiple areas but the property was clean. There were also ants on the kitchen counter. Max was an extremely responsive host - linens on site and we were contacted to allow us early access. We were even gifted a "sweet treat" from a local ice cream store which was greatly appreciated. Overall would recommend for a stay.

Thanksgiving stay

The property had a great kitchen to prepare our Thanksgiving feast. This was an ideal location on the sound and just across the road to the ocean. The only way it would have been better would have been to have much warmer weather to use the kayaks and paddle boards. Perfect location.

Stressful

Location is good. Short walk to beach. Good views of sound and sunsets. Overall would not recommend. Though listing states linens are included they were not leading to undue stress (particularly as check in information came after 4 and things close) as well as extra charges. We were at first told if we “were not happy we could pack up and leave,” owner did then assist in obtaining linens as the rental service was closed at the late hour. Fire pit with chairs pictured in listing belong to unit next door. Units’ fire pit has no chairs. As stated in previous review upstairs bathrooms have mold in ceiling/vents, please be aware if you are sensitive such things. No plug in hall bath if you need to bathe small children. Kitchen has ants, difficult to avoid at beach but would recommend containers to protect food. If light sensitive would recommend eye shade as tops of windows uncovered and bottoms translucent. Fire alarm in master not present with wires sticking out above master bath door. Good location but interactions with owner left us on edge and unable to relax.
