This is Puamana at its best! I am Clever Trevor Alt and I proudly own and manage this property.

This beautiful 2 bedroom 2.5 bath townhouse (Puamana 167-4 on Pualei Drive) is 200 feet from the Pacific ocean and was remodeled and outfitted with top of the line furnishings, appliances, and a Daiken mini split air conditioning system. With contemporary design elements and massive outdoor living areas you have the best of both indoor and outdoor living. My unit is #167-4, and we are conveniently located between the two beach access points so you only have a short walk in either direction to be in the water and ready to surf, paddleboard, or swim!

The living room, fully equipped and stocked kitchen and half bath/laundry are located on the first floor and the two bedrooms and two full bathrooms are upstairs. We have a 65 inch HD curved television in the living room as well as TV in one bedroom, and smoking fast, reliable wifi for all of your technological needs. The couch is a sleeper sofa that pulls out to be a double bed, and we also have a double air mattress to accommodate extra guests.

The ground floor living room opens up to a very large 300 square foot covered lanai with two ceiling fans, lights, a dining table that seats 6, and plenty of seating. The lush landscaping makes it feel like you are in your own private tropical oasis and there is even a hot water outdoor shower to rinse in after a day at the beach or a surf session. We provide beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler and beach toys for your enjoyment. You may borrow my surfboards that are stored under our carport - you can walk to the breaking surf that is behind our gates in our Puamana community!

The master bedroom has a king size bed and full ensuite bathroom with a shower. From the bed you have a view of palm trees swaying in the breeze just past your private lanai, and a peek of the ocean from the windows. Enjoy cocktails at sunset from the comfort of your outdoor sectional sofa on the second floor 300 square foot lanai or just lounge in the midday sun with your favorite book. With ocean views and the shade of the coconut trees, this lanai is quite possibly the best spot in the house. I love to leave the slider and window open at night to be soothed to sleep by the sound of gently crashing waves.

The guest room is also outfitted with a king size bed and also boasts peek ocean views from both windows. Wake up with the sun as it comes over the mountains or maybe choose to close the blackout blinds for a peaceful morning of sleep. All of our doors and windows are double paned and sound proof so you will never have to worry about road noise or other disturbances. The guest bathroom has a deep soaking tub and shower and is located in the hallway outside of the guest bedroom.

Puamana is a low-density gated community of lush gardens and nearly a half-mile of Pacific Ocean beachfront just 200 feet from this townhome. There are several surf breaks right here at Puamana, all a short walk from our luxury condominium. During the winter the ocean is generally calmer here in west Maui, but I have surfed here at all times of the year. Whale season is from December to mid April. The humpbacks love the channel between our beach and the nearby islands of Molokai and Lanai, you can see them from anywhere in Puamana, even from our condo. Puamana centrally located to many amazing beaches Maui offers and is only five miles from Ka’anapali Beach.

Puamana is old school chill and has many full time residents. The quiet streets are perfectly landscaped. Plumeria trees shower the streets with their flowers. Depending on the season you can also find mangos, bananas, avocados, citrus, papaya and more! From December through April you can even watch Humpback Whales swim and play just off the shore.

Puamana's Dolphin pool with it's adjacent children's play area is open and it is the closest pool to our townhome. The Ocean pool is being restored in April 2025.

Though Lahaina town was deeply affected by the August 2023 fire and some of our community townhomes and our historic clubhouse did burn, the gated community of Puamana offers a tranquil escape where you can spend your days captivated by the ocean 200 feet from your door. Whether you seek adventure on the water or a peaceful spot to relax, this updated townhome invites you to enjoy the best of Maui's coastal living.

Puamana is located at the southernmost end of Lahaina's Front Street. You do not have to go through any check points since they were moved well into Lahaina in September 2024 and Puamana is welcoming visitors back. We’re also pleased to report that two grocery store complexes in Lahaina—Safeway and Foodland Farms—as well as Maui's renowned Hula show, the Old Lahaina Luau, and six excellent Lahaina restaurants— Mala Ocean Tavern, Honu Oceanside, Aloha Mixed Plate, Coco Deck and Star Noodle—were not affected and are all less than a ten-minute drive away.

If windows are open road noise may be heard along with the sound of the surf. But open the windows that face the ocean and you hear all ocean! That's how your host Clever Trevor sleeps when he's here and it's a big reason why Clever Trevor put his life savings into this property.

Note that this listing site is implementing "artificial intelligence" that is not, in fact, intelligent. For example, in the search results it has recently displayed that my property is "14 minutes from Maui Sandy Beach" and there is such a beach but my guests probably won't see it because they can walk 2 minutes to Puamana's own sandy beach (see my pictures including the property map). Our own sandy beach is behind the Puamana community gates where we also have 3 named surf breaks (hot sands aka "Puamana" is the beginner friendly one, the "pools" break in front of the Ocean pool is for experts only). All beaches in Hawaii are public so our security will let savvy local surfers in through our security gates but there is little traffic at Puamana's beaches and grounds and our pool(s) have their own codes that are only given to Puamana residents and guests that are staying here. Puamana is a residential community that allows vacation rentals but there are many full time residents and some families here and you'll feel the aloha when you visit.

I am a fitness and health nut and I exercise religiously. I enjoy golf, surfing, cycling, weightlifting, and water and snow skiing, and have completed an xterrra sprint triathlon and a half marathon. I've had my eye on Puamana in south Lahaina, Maui for years and this purchase is a dream come true. I surfed at and stayed at the property several times before purchasing to townhome there. Now that I'm an empty nester I'm reviving my long dormant golf swing. I've got good local knowledge regarding Maui golf courses, so please ask. I will continue my success as a vacation rental owner and manager by exceeding my guests' expectations and delivering a superb luxury vacation experience every time! It's 200 feet from the Pacific ocean! It's a residential community conveniently located at the south end of Lahaina. We have our own beach with a surf break behind our gates. I have never slept better than I do here, with the slider door open to let the sound of the surf in.
