Romantic Weekend Away

I was planning a proposal weekend and needed the place to stay. I was excited when I found this place and it was so perfectly located to everything in Luray that I had planned. A small drive to the caverns, within minutes to stores and restraunts, and not far from scenic overlooks to enjoy a sunset.

Had an amazing stay!!! So close and walkable to a lot of grocery stores and the flotzies ice cream was amazing! Would definitely stay again!

Tiny Red Barn

Everything was perfect! Location was great, close to the caverns we visited. Owners were quick to replace items broken by previous renters. We will stay again on our next trip to Virginia!

Adorable

The tiny barn is charming and intimate. It has a well-appointed kitchen, a cozy gas fireplace, a comfy bed and a cute, cute bathroom. We had a tiny glitch getting into the place, but our hosts immediately took care of it. They were very responsive. The place is also well located... just around a corner and up a hill from the entrance to the Luray Caverns. My husband and I will definitely be back.

Awesome Little Getaway

My husband and I absolutely loved this little place 😊 It is super close to just about anything you need, and plenty of activities in the area with beautiful views. The barn is super cute, clean and comfortable. The fact that we could bring our American Bully with us was a huge bonus. It was his first trip, and he definitely had as much fun as we did 💜 The property owners are also extremely nice and responsive to messages. We would absolutely stay here again.

Perfect weekend getaway!

Me and my friend came down for the weekend to hike through SNP. The little red barn was the perfect spot to stay a few nights. The place was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. Definitely recommend checking out the caverns nearby as well. They were spectacular.

Great experience

This was such a cozy little house to stay in for a short trip to Luray. Convenient location: literally within walking distance to the Caverns entrance and a short drive from downtown Luray. Would recommend!

Great little dog friendly place!

This is a great set up and I would consider it dog FRIENDLY, not just “dogs allowed”. The yard space was fabulous for our dog to play ball. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching 6-8 deer pass through the fields. Bed was comfy. Highly recommend!

Little red barn

Our stay was pleasant. The property was well kept and we had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The hosts communicated well and were very helpful. Also, we had a fantastic meal at the speakeasy. I highly recommend this place.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Little Red Barn so much! The hosts were in communication the whole time, they had the internet fixed in a day when the satellite needed replaced & went above & beyond! Great location to the valley & close to the park!

The best BAARRRRRRNNNN STAY EVER!!!

Omg we loved this barn so much! We loved how everything was there such as things you would need to cook with and eat. It's a must stay environment!! It was so beautiful watching the deer at night in the field right beside barn! This was way better than any other cabin I have stayed in!

Just right!

My sister and I wanted to meet up halfway between where we both lived for a few days of sister time and exploring. We found the little red barn and it was just right. We got up early the first morning to go up on Skyline Drive and watch the sunrise at Buck Hollow overlook and what a site. Went to Lauray caverns that day then hiked one of the many trails off skyline and also just drove for miles enjoying the beautiful views. Saturday we drove to Monticello to tour Thomas Jefferson’s home. Very informative. And went to a great winery for wine and dinner. Mount Ida reserve. Had a good dinner in town Lauray one night at the speakeasy. I have to mention a great spot called the Blue Ridge pottery in Stanardsville Virginia. That had amazing homemade pottery for great prices. Thank you for such a nice place for my sister and I to spend some time together. Hope to be back.

Our visit to the Little Red Barn

We loved our stay at the Little Red Barn. It's so nice and even cuter in person! The hosts were so nice and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We definitely want to visit again. We also liked how close it was so everything in Luray, it was a perfect little vacation. :)

Excellent access to Luray, Va

The little red barn has a very convenient location to everything in Luray as well as Scenic drive and the AT. It’s nice that it is not right in downtown but only minutes away. We sat on the patio and watched deer in the hay fields at dusk and then fireflies light up the fields as it got dark. The little red barn has everything you need for a short stay. This was my third stay because of its convenient location and the hosts are wonderful. It is close to several wineries too!

Barn Short Term Stay

My husband and I brought our dog and had a lovely time in the barn! It was very convenient to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. The fire pit in the back was very nice after dark. Barn was slightly less rural than we thought it might be, but was also convenient to stores like Walmart and food lion. Only thing to note is that the only bedroom is upstairs and only bathroom is downstairs which may make bathroom trips during the night a little precarious. Would stay again!

Cozy and Clean Home

My husband and I spent the weekend here with our five-year-old daughter. The house is impeccably clean and well stocked with anything you might need. We watched movies on the pull out couch, played board games, and enjoyed cooking breakfast together. We were very comfortable during our stay. The owners are polite and responded quickly when we reached out with a question. The Luray Caverns are SUPER close to the property and that was the highlight of our trip. We also went rafting nearby, visited a zoo, and explored some small towns. I would recommend staying here for sure.

Beautiful Unique “Small Red Barn” in a Great Location

First off, Clark and Gloria were fantastic hosts from before check in to after check out. Super friendly, accessible and responsive. Their “Little Red Barn” is newly remodeled in rustic farmhouse, was super clean and an overall wonderful place to spend two nights with my dog. The place is 10 min from downtown Luray and right down the street from a Super market and a number of restaurants. I planned this last minute trip to fish the Shenandoah and there are actually 2 ponds right across the street filled with largemouth and bluegill so that was a huge bonus. I can’t say enough good things about this place and the hosts. I can’t wait to stay there again soon. Highly recommend as this was one of, if not the best places I’ve ever stayed!

Great Location!

We really enjoyed the 5 nights we spent at the Little Red Barn and wish we could have stayed longer. The location is great as there is a lot to do within an hour's drive of the property. While the rental isn't super remote it was nice to be able to pop up to the Wal-Mart for things we forgot to pack. The rear patio is perfectly situated so you don't face the street and dear came every evening to graze in the field. The owner was very responsive when we decided to add an extra night to our booking. Also, they checked on us in a non-intrusive way to ensure that everything was to our liking. As long as you can manage stairs the rental is very comfortable. It was our first visit to the Shenandoah Valley, and we loved it. I'm sure we'll be back and would stay here again.
