Blue Heron was as advertised close to marina and beach, golf cart availability made our stay just lovely. It was a great getaway!

Very cute cottage, well decorated and though small, smart utilization of all space! Loved the screened front porch, large fenced yard, and water views of the bay from the back deck. Very quiet area and having the golf cart as an option is a definite plus! Would definitely stay with Heather again!

We have stayed at this lovely cottage twice now. It is the perfect home in Colonial Beach for a family of 4. Having a kitchen and laundry are an added bonus for our family. The yard and porch are beautiful additional spaces. Your hosts are responsive and have provided a clean and updated property for a relaxing getaway.

It was great to have the golf cart to get around town!Very nice and quiet community.Fyi….most restaurants were not open on Monday & Tuesday.

Great little house close to the river and to Monroe Bay. Perfect house for a mini getaway for my wife and I. Communication with the hosts was super easy, and the use of the golf cart was a huge added bonus!

Anniversary Getaway

Such a beautiful cottage in a great location. We enjoyed it so much, and can't wait to come back. I can't recommend the Blue Heron Cottage enough. We will definitely book again!

Great little Cottage!

We really enjoyed our stay! It was very clean, had a great location and we enjoyed the screened in porch! We brought our dog and we were happy it had a fenced in yard! 😊

Great Quiet Getaway

Location was great, quiet, and simple. The place was clean, spacious, and great for the two of us to enjoy relaxation right by the water. The outdoor patio was great and plenty of food options just a few minutes away. We had a great stay!

We really enjoyed our long weekend at this listing. The best part was the screened in porch and the outdoor space. The place was clean and check in/out was easy. Definitely would stay again.

Enjoyed Our Stay

The recently updated Blue Heron Cottage was neat and clean and the beds were truly comfortable. The cottage is just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Colonial Beach. The attractions at Westmoreland State Park, including Fossil Beach, are a short drive away.

Cozy quarters

Wonderful golf cart community! Perfect way to relax, short walk to the water in either direction. Meet allot of the locals, enjoyed the local breweries and restuarants.

Colonial Beach vacation 2024

We rented a cute house. It was perfect for us. It was extremely clean, quiet and perfect from beach area. Perfect to dockside and high tide. We loved our stay and the neighborhood.
