Great Fall Break Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Blackbird was a great spot for our group of 14 to stay for a long weekend. The rooms all had bathrooms which made it perfect for everyone, the kid space upstairs was just as we hoped! Plenty of room for the kids to hang out and they loved having their own space. The golf cart was an added bonus and made getting to the beach so easy and fun! The location of the house is right next to overflow parking which made coming and going very convenient. We were here outside of peak season (Oct), so didn’t get to enjoy the resort amenities but we still had a great time fishing, visiting the lake and surrounding areas!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this house. There were a couple of negatives: the screen door on the porch was blown out in a recent storm, so a temporary piece of screen was hung, but it didn't really keep out all of the bugs; we had a 1-year-old who crawled, and his knees were filthy from the hardwood floors -- they need a good washing; they shed needs more gravel at the entrance -- there is a big lip on the door, making it difficult to get the golf cart in and out; finally, there were a lot of mayflies in the house -- maintenance brought us bug strips but they weren't really that effective.

Wonderful home!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a wonderful home that accommodates any size group. We loved it! The living area has plenty of space for enjoying a nice meal, watching a game on tv, playing a card game, enjoying a fire outside, etc. The set up is great. The kitchen is well-equipped with anything needed to make a great meal. All bedrooms have their own bathroom which was really nice. We could walk or take the golf cart just down the road to sit at the beach and stay for one gorgeous sunset after another. The house is very clean and updated. We took advantage of spending time relaxing in the darling rocking chairs on the front porch and enjoying a meal or two at the table in the screen-in back porch. The overflow parking lot right across the street is great, too, if you have more than one car for the stay. The management was available and attentive if needed. We had a question about the golf cart and the staff answered right away. This is a great house and we will be back!

Blackbird 7/6-7/13

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was perfect for our group. Easy to get to and right by the overflow parking. Have stayed in several homes within the community, and Blackbird was the cleanest we’ve stayed in. Kitchen was well stocked with necessities. A few more wash cloths per bathroom would have been desirable, but had plenty of the other linens. Very well maintained property and we enjoyed making memories with our family for the week!

Lovely early stay interrupted by storms

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed the house in the first couple of days of our vacation. The space was set up nicely and was beautiful. There was easy access both to the park and to the lake/activity center. The only downside was that the screen door had been removed from the screen porch, and a piece of screen was stapled over, which didn't stay put. As a result, the screened porch was not particularly usable as such. The problems arose when storms took out the power. There was not much communication from the management company or the owner. Assistance to mitigate the impact of the storms as it became clear that the outage would be long lasting, like battery powered fans or lights, would have been very helpful. There was also not a lot of clarity about why certain houses in the complex had power (including the next door neighbors) while others did not. Ultimately, we had to leave because the ejector pump in the basement bathrooms failed, making all the toilets unusable. It would have been helpful if we had been made aware of this possibility when the power went out, so we could have tried to mitigate. Ultimately, the owner and management company did work with us to adjust the cost of the stay, which was appreciated under the circumstances.

Beautiful week at the Blackbird!

Reviewer Comments: The property was exactly how they described it!Location was perfect for us because of the conveneience of the parking being close to house for it has only one spot for parking and if you have several family members staying as we did that is a plus. The house was beautifully decorated and the owner thought of all the details in decorating which we appreciated down to all the supplies. They even had chairs for the beach!The house looked clean upon our arrival but with a 9 month old crawling around we noticed that our socks were quite dirty. We called the property manager and they promptly sent out someone to wash the floors so THANK YOU! We did go to New Buffalo to eat one night and i had ice cream later!We also loved the fact that the property is close to the Blue chip casino. The beach was beautiful as was the pool with the view! Fishing was great for my older grandsons and we all enjoyed the Golf cart rides.Beach Hut had great coffee and donuts plus delicious sandwiches and burgers. Loved the selection of sweatshirts and t-shirts. Of coarse we had to get a few. We also enjoyed the race week which was a surprise to us when we got there. Was not aware it happened that week. Weather was not great so it cut our day short. But what we did see was great! In closing i would highly recommend this property to friends and of coarse my family! Thank you Blackbird! Good Times at the Blackbird

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family stayed at the Blackbird over Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful and we loved that every bedroom has a bathroom. The overflow lot is right next to the house, so was convenient for additional cars to park. Our kids loved swimming in the pool, paddle boarding and trips to get ice cream. The golf cart made it easy to get around too. The only callout is that floors looked clean but definitely left our glfeet dirty. However, I am sure that comes with the constant summer turnover. Overall, it was an awesome house and an incredible long weekend.

Great New Addition to the Community

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an excellent stay at Black Bird. Our kids loved the top floor, as they were all able to sleep in the same room and had their own private movie room. It was great having connected bathrooms to each room and there was a ton of space for everyone in our party. Everything was very clean and the new feel of the house made the stay very enjoyable. There were a couple of small items that I know will be fixed with this being a new home, but overall a great stay and will stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Couldn’t be happier with the blackbird! The home was absolutely beautiful. The large open first floor layout was perfect for gathering. We loved that every room had its own bathroom so everyone had their own space. The location was perfect tucked back on a quiet street near the park. Already talking about coming back next summer!
