Built in 2007 sparing no expense and designed for entertaining and comfort this home is located next to Bonito Canyon park with a playground,ocean view baseball field and tennis courts, Boys and girls club. North Beach and the Metrolink are 4 blocks west, San Clemente Outlet Mall is 6 blocks north, the San Clemente pier is about a mile south. Ocean views from every bedroom, bathroom,entry, living room, dining room, kitchen and laundry room. Two fireplaces and plenty of outdoor deck space. There is an outdoor poured in place concrete bar that features a built in BBQ, a gas firepit,solid nickel sink, refrigerator,a wall mounted tv and a spectacular view of Catalina island on clear days. The Master bath features a six foot soaking tub, a steam room shower with fold down seating for two, electric towel warmer, electric skylight and dual sinks. Whole house water filtration with reverse osmosis in kitchen kitchen so no need for bottled water. Built in vacuum, Bosch washer and dryer. Off street parking for two vehicles in the driveway included as long as your vehicles do NOT leak oil.

We loved our stay here. The home was well equipped, beds very comfortable and host was helpful and made check in smooth and easy. This was particularly great as it was very late evening when we finally arrived after a long day travelling. Loved all the quirky features. Only thing we would change is the tap in the main bathroom sink. Looks great but not that practical.

We had an amazing experience at this property! The location was perfect, the home itself was absolutely beautiful, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a full Thanksgiving dinner, which made our holiday extra special.Host Marc was so kind, attentive, and quick to respond to any questions we had. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

Nice House

Our family had a great week at this unique home.Take time to relax and enjoy the home! The home is located close to the ocean with a few restaurants, sports bars, coffee shop, surf board shops, outlet mall, and Raindow sandal factory store all in few walking blocks.

Spacious stay in Los Molinos district

We had a great stay. All of the comments about noise are accurate. We had fans going and ear plugs which made it manageable. Otherwise, it’s a really nice stay with the gas powered grill and fire pit, multiple balconies, tall ceilings and open layout.

Good location for walking; great location for driving to main beach. Owner promptly attended to minor issue. Very pleased. Likely to be back.

Great place close to the beach.

Only drawback would be if u r wanting a quiet place to stay the two bars on Friday and Saturday nights can be a little loud. Owner can’t change it though.

Great Escape to SC

Having grown up in San Clemente we knew what to expect from the location, which is across from where surfboards are shaped all day long so yes there will be some noise as other said in their reviews. We got lucky with a rare 80+ degree week in SC which made the beach amazing and nights a little warm in the house. The living space was perfect for our group and we took full advantage of the patio spaces and grill. Thanks for hosting us!

Good stay for the price

The property was a good price for a 3 bedroom. The owner is very responsive and I would make sure you know what you need to bring as the house isn't well stocked with things. When reading the description, I missed the fact that the house does not have air conditioning. The rooms were comfortable at night with the windows open but there was a lot of noise outside late at night. Again, for the price, it was great.

Curious what the house was missing? I have never gotten that reported ever in 3 years of short term rentals. And my housekeeper reported that the heater was on when she arrived. The only time that I used the heater when I lived there was in December and January so I was surprised to hear that it was on in September.

I enjoy spending time with my kids, swimming, ebiking, deep sea fishing. I enjoy being a host because it allows me to share the house that I designed and built in 2007, yet still use it occasionally myself.
And of course the revenue generated helps me have a financially stable retirement.

After spending my entire adolescence, 20s and 30s living in beach communities between La Jolla and Encinitas I was looking for a place to live near the beach, but without the crowds and traffic that had transformed the North San Diego county beach communities I loved.
San Clemente was the only place I found that felt laid back, the citizens were friendly, the climate was perfect and I was fortunate enough to find a great deal on an ocean view, west of the 5 freeway lot in 2001.
I love the vibe, especially in my neighborhood, known as the “Surf Ghetto” because of all of the world famous surfboard manufacturers located within blocks of my home, some next door and others across the street. I have seen many world famous professional Surfers in the hood and of course many of the world’s best shapers as well.
