Disappointed lost time
1. Pictures of property must have been taken 30 years ago. 2. Condo was seriously filthy dirty. Old food and soda pop in fridge, small critter poop in bedroom drawers and in bedrooms. Property manager seemed to understand and pretended to try to move us but kept on putting us off and sending us to other people to talk to until we finally gave in and let them clean the condo. Spent the remainder of the week conversing with property manager that gave us a discount and gift certificate to a restaurant. We only get to take a vacation together once a year and would have rather spent time enjoying my friends than dealing with the property manager and the nasty condo discount doesn't make up for loosing vacation time
It took a while to respond to this review because most of the claims are false. We did have an issue with the house cleaning staff that could have done a better job before the guests arrived. They did scour the unit the following day. Guests will leave condiments and soda in the fridge for the next guests to enjoy, Nice gesture! We worked with VRBO until 2 AM AND we personally booked a hotel room that they turned down. VRBO was able to relocate the guests the next day and they refused the offer. We refunded the guests 3 nights and dinner out. They reached out every day with different complaints. This unit has been remodeled and every year it is updated. AND, the pictures online were taken in December 2019. I certainly did not appreciate this guest and her friends ganging up on me daily on the phone. Its very rare but every now and then you get a guest that you cannot please. This condo is in a building that is fully staffed with its own housekeeping and maintenance department so the units are always beautiful. It's not a 4 star hotel like this guest would have liked. Its a beautiful unit located in Old Town Vallarta not the Marina. Please make sure to read all the amazing reviews about this unit. In retrospect I should have asked them to leave after they were so rude to myself and the staff. BUT, we took the high road and offered more solutions than most other owners would do. After 20 years and multiple condo's I have never encountered guests like these. We even shared their review with other owners for feedback and we were told they would never allow a guest like this in their rentals. With the discounts and arrangements we made we asked and they agreed they would not leave any type of review. This really shows bad character on the guests part. Please use caution if this guests reaches out. We certainly have let other owners in our community know its not in their best interest to host this guest.
