THE SPACE
For your absolute safety and comfort, our space and the linens are PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED and meticulously restocked after every guest.
Experience a suite designed for ease, with just three gentle single steps throughout: from the foyer down to the kitchen, up from the kitchen to the second bedroom, and from the living room up into the patio.
• Courtyard with an exclusive BBQ grill at your disposal.
• Your 170 sq ft (16 sq m) private enclosed patio, heated and covered, boasts teak furniture for lounging, dining, working, or reading.
• Each guest is provided with two pillows: one firm and one semi-firm.
• The Primary bedroom features a King bed, ample closet space, and a full dresser, plus an ensuite bathroom.
• The ensuite (Primary) bathroom is a spa-like retreat with a double sink, walk-in double shower with steam function, body jets, and a rain shower head. Our tankless system ensures you won’t run out of hot water!
• Bedroom 2 is off the kitchen and offers a Queen bed, workspace, a library of children’s books, wardrobe, and a 43” smart 4K TV. These second bathroom is located off the living room, through the kitchen.
• Your kitchen is a chef’s dream, with a 5-burner Wolf gas range, Viking dishwasher, Viking Fridge with an inside water dispenser, Subzero wine fridge, a spacious island with seating, and a custom reclaimed oak wood dining table with banquette seating.
• The living room invites you to cozy up by the gas fireplace, visit the mini-pub (complete with a sink, and barstools), enjoy the 65” 4K Smart TV, PS4, and 5.1 surround sound system with B&W speakers. Additionally, there’s a pull-out couch with a Queen-size memory foam mattress and two comfortable arm chairs.
• The second bathroom is a sanctuary with a soaker tub for relaxation.
• The Laundry Room is outfitted with a large LG front-load washer, dryer and utility sink.

As you step into the property, you’ll immediately encounter the courtyard. This area is primarily yours, except when someone briefly passes through to access the main house. You have a dedicated private entrance, granting you 100% ownership of the internal space, as well as exclusive access to your private and covered patio.
Your exclusive domain encompasses a generous 1200 square feet (111 square meters) of a ground-level apartment, which includes:
• Courtyard
• Fully-equipped Kitchen
• Inviting Dining Area
• 2 Comfortable Bedrooms
• Spacious Living Room featuring a mini pub
• 2 Well-appointed Bathrooms
• Convenient Laundry Room
• Private Covered Patio
This is your private retreat, designed to make your stay in Kitsilano truly exceptional.
Other things to note
There is someone living upstairs, and as the house is almost 100 years old, you might hear a footstep or a creak.
Thermostat for the heat and A/C are controlled through a central system upstairs. Settings are kept at a comfortable temperature in your space, (you can open/close the air vents in the bedrooms, living room and entry). If you would like the settings adjusted just let us know. For heat, there’s additionally a fireplace in the living room and floor heat in the bathrooms and the kitchen.
There are security cameras around the exterior of the property and record 24 hours. There is a camera in the private patio which will remain off during your stay. No surveillance in interior spaces.

When on the road, my family and I have been staying at short-term rentals since 2014, as hotels couldn't fully accommodate the five of us. We love experiencing cities and the authenticity of neighbourhoods wherever we visit. Staying in homes affords us the opportunity to cook with local ingredients, and relax with space.
After many years of being the "traveler," we decided to host our own place! All of our experiences have shown us what we like and don't like, what works and what doesn't. Our suite is a reflection of that. Everything there is done with purpose, intent and care.
My wife and I work from home and our children are doing their schooling online - which gives us the flexibility to travel and experience new places.

Kitsilano has been my home since 1980. I grew up playing street hockey in the back lanes with my friends and making Easter lamb and having big Greek parties in the backyard. It's a beautiful, quiet and safe neighbourhood, with loads of trees to give you shade as you go for a walk and great, friendly neighbours. It's completely walkable too, with shops, groceries, restaurants, schools, playgrounds...and the beach nearby.
