Luxury Beach Home on Lake Michigan: September, 2025 Open after Labor Day!

This house is right on the beach. We rent Saturday to Saturday during the Summer season and less than one week for off season. See the pictures on the site. Be sure to reserve now for your favorite week in 2025. Check the calendar and rates link for your family vacation. Currently, various dates after Labor Day 2025 are open.

This 2008 property is a 3-story House overlooking Lake Michigan. Lake views must be seen to be believed. All rooms have a commanding view. Renting by the week from Saturday to Saturday. 4 full size modern bedrooms (The 4 bedrooms include a loft on the third floor, with a queen and two twin mattresses, a magnificent Master Bedroom directly overlooking the Lake and two bedrooms with queen mattresses ). Bedding available for 10 people. Any additional persons can use a queen air mattress (provided) or sleeping bags. There are 4 full sized tiled bathrooms. Plenty of room to roam around.

The family room is on the second floor directly overlooking the beach. Plenty of room on the first floor deck. The third floor is 600 sq feet with a towering view of the beach and Lake. Rates include all taxes and cleaning fees!

My weeklong stay exceeded my expectations. The house is right on the beach and there we all the beach toys, umbrellas, etc that my large family needed. AND, the owners could NOT have been nicer and accomodating. I would highly recommend for a famiy trip.

Location Location Location

This home sits right across the street from the beach and has everything you need for a weeklong vacation with family. We were a group of 9 (5 adults and 4 kids) and we never felt crowded in this home. John and Robin were great to work with and answered all our questions. Sunsets are absolutely gorgeous from any of the 3 decks and it’s a short walk to town.

MOST WELL-STOCKED RENTAL WE EVER HAD

The hosts are wonderful and Robin greeted us on our arrival and made sure we knew where everything was and how everything worked.Do not waste precious space packing any beach items or towels. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING you need. Great cookware and every utensil imaginable.Convenient location and super for people watching. Having a spacious 2 car garage will save you 30/week in parking. It also has a hose for spraying that sand off after a day on the beach.

Beautiful, big house on the beach

This home worked so well for our week in South Haven. We had adults, teens and a baby in our group and everyone loved this place. The house is well appointed and clean and you cannot beat the glorious location. The owners were great to work with.

Great Thanksgiving Getaway

We had an incredible time in our 2 day Thanksgiving stay. The upper level loft was great and all 4 of my kids could stay up there, leaving the rest of the house to me and my wife. The master bedroom and the views of the lake are worth the trip alone.

Great week at the beach

Perfectly located home that accommodated 6 adults and 4 children well. Great location on the beach with ample deck space for enjoying the great sunsets. I also loved it had all the beach chairs and beach items needed for the week. Hosts were very responsive and friendly. Would definitely rent again

Great House and Location

We stayed at the house with our 3 kids. Great location. Easy to get to the beach and nice to have a playground right there. We used the outdoor spaces a lot. Short drive to downtown (or walk if you don’t have little kids with you). The sunset views were amazing every night!

Very nice property and amenities. Everything in good shape. Easy check in and check out.Excellent view of beach. Only possible recommendation maybe some newer furniture in second floor TV great room in the future.Still a 5 star rating.

Prime oceanfront property

We had an amazing family trip thanks to the wonderful hosts and this amazing house. The set up was great for our family with 5 adults and 3 kids - would’ve been room for more! The windows were very picturesque and you can’t get any closer to the beach and playground. Well stocked with everything we could need. Great communication. We are hoping to return next year!

Wonderful experience

The house was beautiful, roomy, and very well equipped. The location was great for fireworks, beach visits,and watching sunsets. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very responsive. We asked questions before the reservation, between the reservation and our visit, and during our visit; they were consistently available and helpful. Robin explained everything at check in that we needed to enjoy our stay. We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend this wonderful house and its delightful owners.

Perfect location!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at 36 lake shore! Location was everything- we have been coming to SoHa annually for several years and this place exceeded our expectations! We spend our days on North Beach where our kids enjoy playing. It was so nice being able to walk out front door and on to beach. House is spacious and has all of the amnenities needed. Plenty of towels, wash cloths, etc. Another high light —no need to pack/bring beach chairs, toys, umbrella— this place has it ALL! Will definitely be staying here again !! Thanks to the hosts !!

Great House on North Beach in So. Haven

Spent a week with my wife and family including two grandchildren. There were eight of us at all and the house was perfect. The location is directly across from the beach and is easy walking distance to everything in Southhaven. The owners were very receptive and we had no problems at all.The online photographs of the property are very accurate and the views from the house and the balconies are fabulous. Of course the sunsets on Lake Michigan are second to none. Would highly recommend this house for a family and hope to stay there again.

Bad experience with host's wife in the end.

We arrived on Saturday, the 24th, at 7:25 PM. We drove up from Kansas City, a more than 10-hour drive, when you account for the time change. Robin, the host's wife, graciously met us at the door to walk us through the property and show us how things worked. The property was so comfortable and cozy, we basically lived on the second level next to the master bedroom, we called it "our pod"! ;) We began getting ready to leave at 8:45 on the day we were to check out, with a "10AM SHARP" checkout time. We thought we were making good time getting things out to our car to leave, but Robin arrived at 9:45, and I panicked. I went out to ask her where the detergent for the laundry was, and she rolled her window down and gave me a glowering look. "It's TIDE! Just TIDE!" she yelled at me. I was so nervous, I spilled the detergent all over my hand pouring it in. We left at 9:58 AM. We pulled out and tried to wave at her going by, but she had her head down in her truck. John, her husband, was great with regards to communication. I think he should be the forward-face of this property from now on. We left the house the same as it was when we arrived.

Very Unfriendly Property Manager

My wife and I have been renting houses with our family for 20 years and we also own a rental property in FL so we know the routine inside and out. We have never been treated so rudely like we did today when checking out. Robin-Wife pf property Manager was standing at our door at 10am sharp and she was very angry. We tried talking to her and she just snapped back. We drove away at 10:05. It was very uncomfortable for my whole family including my 76 yr. old mother who witnessed the entire awkward exchange. The house was left just like we found it, nothing damaged and a load of towels was laundered, and another load started. We were truly left there feeling very uncomfortable.

We fell in love with South Haven many years ago and decided to build this beautiful house on North Beach. We have been sharing it with our guests from all over Michigan and the Midwest for 18 years now. We live only 20 minutes away and pride ourselves on giving personal attention to our guests.

This beautiful rental property is directly on North Beach in the middle of Lakeshore Drive. We rent Saturday to Saturday during the Summer season. Off season you can rent for a minimum of 3 -4 days. North Beach is one of the extensive and beautiful pure sand beach in the Midwest. It is a short hop to the water with plenty of activities on the beach, including jungle gyms, beach volleyball, concession stand at the far end of the beach, piers for walking and fishing, and close to downtown. The 3 stories allow you magnificent views of the beach and Lake Michigan, yet provide intimacy and privacy for indoor activities.
