Canal Front Cottage short drive to the beach - Family and Pet Friendly!

Adorable 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home that backs up to a canal! Pretty water views, great outdoor living space for adults and kids. WiFi and Netflix provided. Cornhole, 5 kayaks, boogie boards and tons of indoor games provided. The beach is only a 10 minute drive away. Includes access to Colington Harbor Yacht club, POOL!, and tennis courts (boat ramp available for small fee). Great restaurants and things to do in Kill Devil Hills, with other areas of OBX nearby. We promise you’ll love your stay! (Must be 21 to book.)
The space
Rain After Rainbows is on Colington Island, right on a canal with access to the bay and sound, and just a short drive to the beach. It's an ideal spot for boating, fishing and crabbing. Access to Colington Harbor Yacht Club, pool, tennis courts, and sound side beach are all included!
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house, yard, dock and the canal, as well as Colington Harbor, pool, tennis courts and soundside beach.
Other things to note
There is currently NO fence between the house and the canal.

Must be 21 to book.

MY HUBBY LOVES UR HOUSE!

We had a wonderful time at your house. It was perfect for us! Our only complaint would be that at higher traffic times it was hard to get turned around but it really wasn't a huge issue. We did take our camp fence to keep our dogs from going toward the street. But i wasn't worried about them since they are yard trained. (We have a large unfenced yard at home). Thank you for the lovley week at Rainbows after Rain! We hope to be back next year!

Family vacation

Wonderful time at this vacation home. Clean and spacious. Comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. I wish the fire pit worked so we could enjoy the chilly nights by the fire but overall our stay was enjoyable.

My brother and I recently stayed at "Rainbows after Rain", a beautiful 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom rental house in Outer Banks, NC. The house was perfect for our two-person trip, plus our dog. It was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to grocery stores and other amenities, and the deck was a great place to relax and enjoy the views. We would definitely recommend this rental house to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in Outer Banks. Pros: * Perfect location * Clean and well-maintained * Spacious and comfortable * Fully equipped kitchen * Large deck with views of the bay * Two kayaks and a dock - perfect to explore the bay * Large grill * Fire pit in the backyard Notes: * 10-minute drive to the ocean front * (For dog owners) No fence around the house or backyard Overall: We had a wonderful time staying at "Rainbows after Rain" and would definitely be back and recommend it to others.

Great place for relaxing getaway

Perfect for our family with two teens... spacious, clean and welcoming! Loved the deck and grill. Exactly as described. Not close to the ocean but the canal spot was peaceful.

Wonderful house

Great place to relax and not far from the ocean and restaurants. The view was wonderful and a great pet friendly home.

Great Location, Even Better Hosts!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay over the Christmas holiday. Waterfront canal location, furnishings, kitchen, everything we needed. Dana and Cohost were beyond helpful with our many questions ahead of our trip, and made us feel like welcomed guests, responding immediately, and even kept us informed with pictures and road conditions during the big winter storm! Definitely coming back…
