Enjoy this small(please pay attention to the pictures and description, I have so many people reply back it’s small)but quaint cabin with outdoor hot tub! 1st bedroom has full bed and closet and nightstand, second bedroom has bunkbeds full and twin beds, closet, nightstand. 3rd bedroom/bunk has single bed. Loft has full and twin beds and nightstand, the stairs getting to the loft are a little steep. Being a small cabin there is slidable curtains for doors because of cabin size. Bathroom has smaller shower and smaller hot water heater (2-3 person.) Close to trail heads for snowmobiling and utv’ing. Snowmobile, utv and pontoon rental minutes away. Bar, restaurant, dollar store, gas station minutes away. Bear lake, good for fish, boating and small beach, minutes away. Manistee River 10 minutes away, great fishing, kayaking and canoeing. AuSable River 15 minutes away, great kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Shanty Creek Golf Course, Turtle Creek Casino, Houghton Lake 30 minutes away. Boyne Mountain Ski Resort, Traverse City, Torch Lake 45 minutes away. Mackinac City 90 minutes away.

Stayed at the property for 10 days and used it as a base for fly fishing the local rivers. It is very conveniently located to excellent fishing spots.The house is very small and best suited for sleeping. Minimalist kitchen but worked OK for a single traveler.

Wonderful cabin. The host is quite wonderful as well. Any questions I had they responded immediately. I will be keeping this cabin in mind again for another trip.

Great little cabin

The cabin was perfect for us. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking at Hartwick Pines. Would stay here again.

I thought it was a good value for a home base for a snowmobile trip , not a big living area to hang out in but it has 6 beds and where there to ride not hang out in the house .

Peaceful Hideaway

Small, cozy cabin. Somewhat lacking in kitchen amenities and could use a good cleaning but is comfortable and quiet. The hot tub is the best we've ever been in! The jets are fabulous! We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing

I enjoyed my weekend away in a quiet northern MI cabin. The hot tub was very relaxing. The cabin has a lot of potential but needs a deep clean. Host was very responsive.

great tinny house

We had a blast but there is no oven. Other then that we had a great time just had to change our meal plan.

Cabin was great kids enjoyed and we will definitely book there again only thing was we wish the hot tub was filled up all the way and that it was cleaned

Thank you for the review! We are always trying to improve and make your stay the best. Kind of upsets me, I just purchased that hot tub(not inexpensive) and I guess it has a small leak. Then I found out the person that stayed before you shut the power off to the hot tub..Thanks.Ed

Excellent communication from Ed. Excellent location of the property. Hot tub is in pristine condition and receives pristine maintenance. We came up for the color to tour which was spectacular. And the cool evenings spent in the hot tub was out of this world. Highly recommend.

As described, rustic cabin that's perfect for outdoor activities and a very close walk to the beach (Bear Lake) which is beautiful in all seasons - we were here for my husband's IceMan race that left from Kalkaska airport and I'd recommend this location for all riders: close to the start and not too far from the finish but far enough that the restaurants are not overcrowded when you want to eat (recommend Moose & Stella's and Bear Inn) Cabin sleeps 6 but realistically, only a close couple or a family with young children can stay because bathroom and bedrooms do not have doors (separated by curtains) it was perfect for us with our small dog but if our adult daughter had come along, we would've stepped outside for her to use the facilities Hot tub is a VERY nice extra to have in all seasons, esp post race and the neighbors are extremely friendly - very nice tv/internet set up and kitchen basics As with most lake cabin, bring your own soap/shower and extra blankets - mattresses and sofa are rustic

Hot tub

The hot tub was great but it did not look clean. The floater containing the chlorine was empty. The tv had a great selection and the shower was great although I did see a black spider.

Quaint cabin

Property description is accurate, it is quite small but serves the purpose if you are just sleeping there. We had an infant and toddler and the temps were just so low outside that we found it hard to get the cabin and bedrooms warm enough for the kids to sleep so we ended up going home early. Also the blood on the bathroom light switch should and the mouse poop on the counter hadnt been cleaned prior to arrival.

The property was grossly misrepented , we very much enjoyed the Kalkaska utv trail system. The cabin is filthy with old beds and no real heat system. Not enough towels for the four night stay. We left one day early.
