This was a PERFECT place to stay. The house has everything you need and is very quiet with a large yard. It is a great location that is close to the National Park, Bar Harbor and restaurants. Lorie is a wonderful host and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Spotless house in a quiet location With an equipped kitchen suppied with everything you might need or want. Communication with the host was immediate and helpful.

We loved our stay! It was a perfect location for all we had planned. The house was spotlessly clean and very well appointed. Lorie was super helpful and responsive. We can't wait to go back!

A private and quiet location. Everything one would need is inside and outside the rental property even down to small unexpected items. All aspects of the rental property were in good shape (not worn out). Nice location to get to Acadia National Park. Local stores were close at hand. Lorie was very accomodating at all times. It was an excellent stay for us.

This place was a perfect sanctuary after long days of exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor. Set in a perfect location, not far from anything we wanted to see. Lorie was so helpful and quick to respond with tips, recommendations and even directions. The house was exceptionally clean and everything we could possibly need was already provided. We never had to think twice about a thing. We left rested, happy, and already talking about when to return. This place has it all!

This home was so comfortable and had everything we needed. It is located in the Maine woods and has beautiful views of the trees and local wildlife. One morning I opened the blinds and two large deer were in the front yard - so exciting to see them. The hosts were so helpful - provided detailed instructions on running the home equipment, etc.; lists of restaurants; places to visit, etc. The location was ideal - very close to Acadia National Park, which we visited several times during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We look forward to staying in this home on our next vacation to Maine.

Acadia Retreat was a wonderful find on VRBO, perfect size, location, and features for our family vacation. Communication and support from owner were wonderful, in addition to the house itself, owner was super helpful with local info and guidance and was just great to work with. House is close to park, Bar Harbor, restaurants and an Island Explorer bus stop (walking distance) which was great. Highly recommend Acadia Retreat!

The property has a good location. There were lots of games and toys for the 3 yr old and even some toys for the baby. Everything that we needed was in the kitchen, even though we did not eat too many meals at home. The laundry was great for doing kids clothes. We did an Acadian Boat Co. harbor trip and saw a LOT of seals. The younger ones did the Jordan Pond trail while Nana and Papa waited in line for seating on the lawn for lunch. We had been here back when our son was little and it was very much the same - except for the number of park visitors this time. Thank goodness for reservations to Cadillac Mtn. I would recommend this property to friends and family.

Great stay at the Acadia Retreat!

The property was very clean. Excellent location away from the crowds of downtown Bar Harbor but close to all the major attractions. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay near Acadia National Park.

Acadia Retreat was a great place to stay for a four day getaway in Acadia / Bar Harbor. Very peaceful with wildlife in the yard - we saw deer and wild turkeys in the backyard. Very close to Acadia entrances including Cadillac Mountain, and about an hour away from Schoodic Peninsula which is about an hour’s drive but worth it! Also close to a number of very good restaurants!

Lovely secluded spot in the woods. A bit farther from downtown Bar Harbor proper & entrance to Acadia National Park than was suggested by listing. Full kitchen & amenities made staying at Acadia Retreat very pleasant.

Great place in Bar Harbor!

This property was just as the listing showed and stated. It was very clean and located a nice distance from downtown Bar Harbor, around 15-20 minutes. Overall, a great place to stay!
