We sure enjoyed the view. It made the location worth the drive. The house was very clean and made us feel at home. We enjoyed the having a full kitchen.

Nice and quiet location with a perfect setup for a small get together. Great views. Resposive and helpful host. Highly recommend for a quick and close but remote and peaceful getaway.

Beautiful spot

Great spot ! Clean and has everything needed for a long or short term stay. We chose this location for the fire-pit and hot-tub and we utilized and enjoyed them thoroughly!

The view speaks for itself! The surroundings are beautiful and serene. As for the house itself, it is clean, well-maintained and comfortable. Brent is communicative and friendly. My family and I were very pleased with our experience.

Peaceful. Pretty. Comfortable

Great views. Quiet surroundings. Good set up in the house. It is not large but well laid out. Nice hiking trails close by.

BC getaway

Family reunion. The perfect place to relax and reconnect. House was clean and well equipped. Hot tub, firepit and access to the ocean, exactly what we hoped for. View was spectacular. Location may be a bit remote for some, but we loved it!

Multi Generation

Was a great weekend of food, games, hot tubbing and walks. We brought bocci and board games, we hiked the trails nearby, we enjoyed the food trucks just down the street for lunch.

Great views, nice house

The house provided the amenities stated and all were in good shape. The hot tub was hot, the beds were comfy but maybe a little too big for the rooms they were in. For a family of 4, this is a great place. We were a group of 7 and found the square footage a little crowded for anything more than a couple nights stay.

Sisters 60th birthday stay

House was perfect for sleeping 6, and the dining area was large and comfortable. View from the house was amazing, could watch it all day. Hot was a hit, hot and with a great view also. All house amenities top notch. Kitchen was nice and clean! All my guests also agreed they’d book this again!

We really enjoyed our stay in Sooke, BC. The location is fantastic—close to incredible hiking trails and surrounded by absolutely stunning views that made the trip feel extra special.The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which we really appreciated. Any questions we had were answered quickly and clearly.There are a couple of downfalls. The bedrooms are quite small—our suitcases barely fit, and we weren’t able to fully open them in the rooms, which made things a bit cramped. The kitchen was also somewhat lacking in utensils, so we found ourselves needing to do dishes more often than expected.Overall, it’s a beautiful spot in a great location, especially if you’re planning to spend lots of time outdoors exploring the area.

Quiet + Peaceful

Cozy + Clean Everything you need for your meals! Awesome hot tub with amazing views. Wildlife abounding. Husband enjoyed running the hills of east sooke. Fire ban lifted and firewood magically appeared at the house 😁

Jaw dropping views from the moment you turn onto the driveway until the morning you have to sadly say goodbye. The property is private and provides relaxing amenities like the hot tub and a fire pit. I was here with a group of friends for a girls weekend and we couldn’t stop smiling. Comfortable sleeping, great kitchen and bathrooms. A short drive to East Sooke Regional Park provided an unforgettable beach day with starfish, eagles, stunning meadows and forest. I will likely be looking to book again. 10/10 recommend this for a relaxing getaway.

Peaceful Getaway

Beautiful view, enjoyed the hot tub. Brent was a very good host. Fridge broke down but new one was installed in less than 48 hours and we were able to use a secondary fridge in the meantime. Bedrooms are small, beds were very comfortable. Nice to sit out on the deck at night and enjoy nature, very quiet area.

Relaxing Retreat In The Woods

We had three generations aging from 17-87 and we all really enjoyed staying at the property. The view and location were great in the woods overlooking the water. The windows facing the water provided an outstanding view to relax. All the beds were very comfortable and the hot tub provided a great view of the water. The location provided plenty of hiking and exploring opportunities for all levels of hikers. Brent was very responsive to any questions we had and even worked with us to figure out how to watch the March Madness basketball games on the TV.

Gorgeous location

This property met all our needs. Surpassed expectations with view and trail with access to the water. Great view from especially the hot tub, and from inside the house. Was a little more snug than anticipated from the pictures but very adequate. If six stay two more dining table chairs are needed. Would have loved to have used the fire pit but it was too wet outside.

Great house with everything you need

We spent 3 days for a family meeting and it was perfect for us. The kids enjoyed some relaxing time in the hot tub and around the fire. We were 7 and could all sleep very well. Brent is very responsive and we did not have any problem with the house but I could feel that he would do everything he can in case something happens. Great experience and I recommend the house!

East Sooke May 2025

Happy our family booked this accommodation. Property manager Brent was quick to respond to any inquiry. Beautiful location with ocean/bay front view. Beds and living room were comfortable, tv's were a good size. We loved the hot tub and walked the steep path down to the water frequently. Loved sitting on the deck in the mornings with a cup of coffee or evenings with a glass of wine. Was great having a BBQ right out the kitchen door on the deck. As mentioned in past reviews, the driveway is steep - we had a 3/4 ton and had to put it in 4x4 to drive up the hill, although our daughters car had no problem. The bedrooms are quite tight, so no good place to put a suitcase. Loved the 8 minute drive to the Pike Road Trail to walk to Iron Mine Bay.We would book again if back in East Sooke.

Location is beautiful. The sounds of the BC coastline are all around you and the large balcony and firepit area provide great views of the inlet, sunrise and sunset. Unfortunately there is no access to the water. There is comfortable sleeping for 6, but the rooms are quite cozy. Two full living areas allow you to spread out a bit if need be. The kitchen seats 4 comfortably, so we always had 1 person in the living area for their meal. Kitchen utensils and cookwear should be updated, but were still usable, and the refrigerator was a great size with water and ice. There is only 1 full bathroom, but the half bath is a nice bonus, especially on the lower floor when you are spending time outside. The driveway into the property is quite long and steep, but we made the best of it and hiked it every day for a good cardio challenge. There are no pathways or parks within walking distance, but BC parks are within driving distance. Downtown Sooke is about 20 to 25 minutes, so I would recommend getting groceries on your way in, though there is a local country store just a few quick minutes away by car. All in all this secluded property is a great place to get away from it all and unwind. Owner was quick to respond to all inquiries.

View is beautiful- place smaller than photos make it appear. Only a quarter of the jets work in the hot tub. Towels and linens all have a strong musty smell - difficult for people with allergies.
