Stunning Ocean View Chateau - Experience it All
Perched on a hilltop inside an upscale gated community, Mar Vista Chateau (with more than 10,000 sq. feet) consists of a large, three floor main house and a separate guesthouse that together can host up to 14 guests.
Mar Vista Chateau boasts a total of six suites. The main house upper floor has three master bedroom suites that are each tastefully appointed with king sized beds, walk-in closets and ensuite bathrooms. Each of the master bedrooms have spacious balconies with stunning ocean views. The lower floor has a poolside suite with two queen sized beds, an ensuite bathroom, and opens up to a spacious deck with a blue infinity pool, jacuzzi soak tub, a BBQ area and comfortable sun loungers. The BBQ area is complete with a wet bar, a gas BBQ grill, and an outdoor dining table set to allow guests to enjoy poolside dining along with the incredible views.
The guesthouse has two garden view suites, one with a queen sized bed and the other with two queen sized beds. The guesthouse also has a living room with a foldout sofa bed. The guesthouse has one full bathroom shared by the two suites and one half bathroom in the living room.
The main house features on the middle floor a gourmet kitchen with black granite counter-top, convection oven, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, glassware, flatware, refrigerator, dishwasher; the spacious dining room has a dinner table for 12 guests. Private chefs can be hired upon request to prepare local delicacies in the gourmet kitchen and poolside.
The living area features a projector where guests can use their favorite streaming services such as Netflix, Apple TV+ to watch their favorite movies, a billiard room, and a half bathroom/powder room.
The nearest beach, Playa Hermosa, is a 5 minute drive from the Chateau, where you can enjoy calm waters for swimming, water activities, lounging, and a variety of beachside dining options. The Chateau is an approximately 25 minute drive from the Liberia International Airport. Private transportation can be arranged upon request.

10/10 Stay at Chateau Mar Vista
We had a fantastic stay at Chateau Mar Vista! This beautiful house was perfect for my large family, including our in-laws and kids. Between the main house and the guesthouse, there was more than enough space for everyone to feel comfortable. The bedrooms were huge with high ceilings and stunning ocean views. The pool deck was absolutely amazing, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the incredible views, especially at sunset—truly breathtaking!
The kitchen was fully equipped and made meal preparations easy for a large crowd, and we really enjoyed the outdoor BBQ grill and bar right by the pool.
The property is tucked away in a private, gated community. The location was ideal, with a short drive to gorgeous, relaxing beaches and beachside restaurants, making it easy to explore the local area.
The local property manager and complimentary concierge services were also excellent. They provided a bunch of great recommendations - we especially enjoyed a beach hopping and snorkel boat tour of the Papagayo peninsula.

The house is very spacious and was built as a luxury villa in a gated community on a hill overlooking Playa Hermosa. It is advertised as a 6 bedroom villa but there are 4 bedrooms in the main house and 2 bedrooms in a guest house (casita). Unfortunately, the casita had cooling and water issues (no hot water). The house manager tried her best to rectify the issues in the casita by bringing in portable air conditioners but they ended up flooding the floor. Two members of our party ended up sleeping on the couches the entire time. The plumbing is definitely needing upgrade to bring the house back to its original splendor.

The Chateau was a great place for our family holiday. The pool was great fun for all.The grandchildren were very happy to have their own house. The main house was big enough you could escape to one of several balconies for a little quiet time. Oh and don’t forget the pool table. Last but not least, the view of Playa Hermosa from the balcony is exactly like the picture, so come and enjoy!
