This is a 4BR/2 Ba home with a huge backyard and fire pit. It is 2 miles from Scarborough Beach, Ferry Beach and Higgins Beach. This is the perfect home for a family or small group of friends. There is a large deck with a grill. Fresh live or cooked lobsters for sale just a few houses down to have your own lobster bake. Several delicious restaurants nearby and less than 20 mins to Portland (incredible restaurant scene and downtown shops)
There are also several walking/biking/hiking trails nearby including the Eastern Trail (2 miles away) the Pleasant Hill Nature Preserve, Libby Nature Preserve trails and the Cliff Walk.
We think you will love your stay on the Maine Coast.

The host was great with responding to questions. The house was in a great spot close to everything. Loved the yard and the house met all our needs. I would recommend it and would book again next time I go to Maine

Cute house, great location! Great amount of space for our group. Enjoyed the backyard and fire pit! The hosts were so helpful, friendly and excellent with communication! Would definitely stay here again.

Great property close to beaches and downtown Portland. We had a group of 7 people and only one shower was challenging but we made it work. House was very clean and organized. The host provided a little s’mores kit that my daughter loved. Would stay again

The property grounds are quite lovely. The house is fully equipped in kitchen and there were sufficient linens for our group. It appears that the owners are continuing to work on the house because there are a few minor fixes that are still needed. EG, bedroom lacked proper door knob so wouldn’t stay closed. But overall, it was quite nice.

Our stay was great. Thank you so much. Even with the rain we had a good time. Great location. Definitly need to pay attention to the tile around the woodstove though!

Clean,

Clean, tidy, nice place to stay. Beautiful outdoor fire pit and sitting area. Lot's of outdoor space. The layout of the 2nd floor is odd - the bathroom on the 2nd floor is in one of the bedrooms - with NO door (to the bathroom), so the other 2 bedrooms upstairs need to use the downstairs bathroom, unless they don't mind an audience. That was not apparent in the description. Also, the jacuzzi was basically a slightly oversized tub. Beyond that, we had a great stay.

I did include pictures to show the open layout of the en suite bathroom attached to the master bedroom but I apologize that it wasn’t made clear in the description. I will update that. The jacuzzi tub is in fact an over sized tub with jets as defined. I’m happy you enjoyed your stay. We would love to host your group again. Have a great rest of your summer! Meg

Great experience

Overall we had a great stay at Meg & William’s home! They were very responsive hosts, and even though one amenity wasn’t as listed Meg went above and beyond to fix it. My recommendation would be to double check with them if you’re expecting a certain amenity. I also don’t feel it’s the best home for children under 4 due to the loose tile laid around the fire place/not really little kid proof. The backyard is amazing to hang out in, and it’s close to some really nice beaches. You can’t go wrong renting from people like Meg & William, they were great!

Thank you Abigail! I appreciate your feedback. We will look at removing the tile to make it more kid friendly. We have also added a Thule double jogging stroller and a pack and play as amenities to use. We would really like to appeal to families and make their stay as comfortable as possible so I really do appreciate this feedback. Thank you for staying with us. Great location, loved the yard and firepit and grill. The owner even left us supplies for smores. We did have to supply our own firewood. The kitchen table and area for dining was a tight fit for 6 people, but the back deck was more spacious. Just needs a table slightly larger for 6 to eat a meal. The upstairs bathroom only has a tub. No shower and there is no door separating the bedroom and bathroom. The downstairs bathroom has tub/shower. The bedding was very nice in all the bedrooms. Plenty of towels were supplied and there is a washer and dryer in the basement. The location of the home is perfect for getting to Portland and the beaches in Scarborough.

Schöne Aufenthalt

Wir hatten schöne Tage in dem Haus. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist toll, sehr kurze Wege zu verschiedenen Stränden und nach Portland. Großes Grundstück mit Feuerstelle und schöner Terrasse. Sehr zu empfehlen.
