Great snow cabin

We stayed here with friends for a ski trip and it was a great place with plenty of space for all of us.

Awesome winter getaway

Stayed here with friends, kids were very comfy in bunk bed bedroom, adults in other rooms, kitchen had everything we needed, plenty of parking , would love to stay here again!

Large house, good for multiple families. Quiet neighborhood located near town, Donner lake, and hiking trails.

Another great stay

This is our second year at this lovely cabin. We are a big group and the house fits us perfectly. Great communication, easy, check-in and checkout process, and very clean. Has everything When we need in the kitchen and we love how cozy the cabin is.

Large spacious house, easy access to Truckee!

Huge house with tons of beds! Super quick drive to Northstar the other north lake ski resorts. Just make sure to bring a snow-capable vehicle, there's a steep road to make it to the house

Great Location

Just up the road on Northwood so really close to shops/stores of Truckee. Careful for the sharp right turn into the property.

Great place for family of 10!

This place was so great for our extended family! We had kids 12 and under, up to the grandparents and everyone was happy and comfortable. The room with the bunk beds worked out perfectly for the kids! The beds were incredibly comfortable- we all slept wonderfully. The host Heather was extremely attentive and responsive with any questions we had. We loved our stay!

A perfect place for family

We all (ages 3 - 70) loved this cabin. There was plenty of room to spread out and have our own places to relax. Beautiful decks looking out to the back and view of the morning sunrise. Our grandkids loved hide and seek all around the house. It felt sturdy, clean and perfect for a family to have fun - we hope to return !

Wonderful!

We had a great time at this home. Our group was three small families with kids ranging from 3-14 years old. There was room for all of us and we couldn’t have been more comfortable. The ease of using and close access to Tahoe Donner activities was great for us, and we weren’t far from other activities like horseback riding and the beach when we wanted them. Loved it all and hope to stay at this property again in the future!

Big Family fun

We have a big family and this house was perfect for all of us. Bonus is two master bedrooms with en suites. The bunk room is great for the teenagers. House was clean and had more than enough towels, linens and supplies. In the winter is it really nice to have a two car garage. Owners supplied plenty of wood for the fireplace. I would highly recommend google mapping the house. You can identify the long driveway and where you have to enter it. It can be a bit confusing.. but looking at an ariel view makes it totally clear where the turn is to get to house. Don’t pass this house up!!

Fun in the snow

This home was clean and perfect for a family of 10. Six adults and 4 kids. This vaca was a chance for the kids to play in the snow. We love the ease of checking in and the large kitchen and dining area. We did go to a nearby snow park as sadly the snow surrounding the home was light. 3 bathrooms is a huge plus for such a large group. A slight problem was that none of the 6 adults could get the TV to work. The kids wanted to watch a movie one evening, but, not a big thing. We texted the number on the fridge and called and left a message, but, got no reply. I do recommend this home. Clean bathrooms and comfortable beds. We had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Short

Unclean towels, dishes, areas of home a bunch of things that’s was not up to part. The code to the lock box was not correct had to call the instructions were not clear to location. Owner did respond but after a while stopped responding. Someone tried to break in on our first night stay. Beautiful location but some things need to be addressed and changed. The owner did discount for inconveniences my family experienced overall was not the best but we made due.

The listing said it had television. We contacted the host on how to turn the TV on & she informed us it was broken & not working She said they ordered a new box but didn't know when it would arrive - well it never arrived during the 16 days we were there. On top of that 2 sliding glass doors would not lock. My husband spent some time & reworked the latch so they could lock. The handle on the sliding screen door was cracked in half so we replaced it. Several lights were out including over the upstairs staircase which we could not reach. A dining room chair was broken upon our arrival & I sent a picture to the host. I tried reaching out to the host about all the things that were broken or not working but she never responded & VRBO has been no help whatsoever regarding this! The entrance to the driveway of this cabin is on a curve on a very busy street so you have to be very careful coming & going.The overall condition of the cabin was ok but it needed a thorough cleaning. Knobs were missing on bathroom vanity which we replaced & both shower heads came off the first time we used the showers.Better maintenance needs to be done on this cabin. Sliding glass door tracks need to be cleaned so the doors slide properly.

Family Fun

Truckee is a wonderful place to visit with soooo many things to do. So very beautiful and the forests are lovely. The house: Nice big rooms, very comfortable!! Carpets on stairs are worn. I would take night lights as haul stairs are VERY dark at night. So nice to have 3 bathrooms. Lots of windows in house for fresh air! You can use the Donner/Tahoe rec area. Cost is 17dollars a person. So.... Plan an entire day there at the various recreation areas. You need to call in advance to reserve things like tennis or pickleball or archery.... There are pools and many nice things to do. We hiked, rented a ski boat, went rafting, played games......thank you for a wonderful opportunity!!

Good stay

Overall we enjoyed our stay in this property, easy access to north Lake Tahoe and within truckee city. Beds were comfortable, only problem in summer is that the house gets too hot, but if you leave the windows open few hours before bedtime, it cools down. Would have been nice to have some basic pantry stuff like salt , sugar n oil. But overall highly recommended.

Great location but well loved home needs a deep clean!

The property location could not be more perfect. The home is spacious and comfortable for a large family. It is clearly well loved and appreciated. With that being said, the entire home could use a deep clean and some updates (new couch, carpet, linens). The home is near Tahoe Donner - It was difficult to understand how to take advantage of the Donner Rec Center and what they had to offer. I wish I would have spent more time researching before we arrived. If you're looking for a home in a good location near Truckee - this home is for you. I'd return but will bring cleansing wipes and my own towels!
