Private, Contemporary Home with a View of Mount Snow.

Our family cottage has been privately owned since 1955. The house sits on a private acre and a half, with a partial winter view of Mount Snow. It has all the convenience of being close to the mountain without any of the noise and congestion.
In the summer it is a peaceful place to enjoy while sitting on one of two decks that wrap around the house. One can easily walk to Mount Snow and enjoy the summer events, or hike along the stream alongside the property. Golf and other activities are short drives away.
In the winter it is less than a mile from Mount Snow, easily accessible to the main base lodge. We are just a 3 minute drive to the base lodge parking lots; we are not on the MooVER Bus route. This house is a cozy ski home for a family gathering in the winter.
The house is a one floor contemporary deck house that is kid friendly, with lots of board games, WiFi, and flat screen TV with a surround sound system.

Cozy rustic cabin!

Our family (2 adults, 3 teens) spent a weekend at this cabin to snowboard and loved its very close proximity to Mount Snow, the views of the mountain, and the overall rustic vibe. The cabin had plenty of space for all of us. The host provides lots of information regarding the cabin prior to your stay which is helpful. You do have to bring your own towels and sheets, and opening the flue is a bit tricky (but once you get it the fireplace is a nice feature!), but overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Cozy snowboarding trip with friends

It's a great spot to stay so close to the mountain! It's very secluded, which is what we wanted. Three best friends from growing up had a lovely, quiet weekend of snowboarding and catching up. The cabin was super cozy and clean. I’d love to book again.

Gem of a ski house!

This home was perfect for our ski vacation. Very clean and comfortable and SO close to the mountain. We loved our evenings by the fire with the great selection of board games. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great ski lodge for 3 of us

Nice place, small but complete kitchen, all rooms comfortable, bathrooms clean and new but NO toiletries and that was not mentioned in the listing. Bring your own shampoo (as well as towels and sheets - that was mentioned). Excellent fireplace with endless rock-hard maple firewood. Very close to the resort. Driveway and roads to the driveway are steep - if it snows while you are there you will NEED 4WD to get close to the house. It snowed our last day and we had to leave our car 300 yards down the mountain. Overall a great visit and we would come back for sure.

Cozy cabin in the woods

We loved this cabin. It is in a beautiful spot and it super convenient to Mt Snow. There are some small general maintenance issues that could be addressed to make the place even better, but it all balances out. Andy is very responsive and helpful and we really appreciate him and his cozy cabin.

Great, well kept, cozy mountainside home

Clearly cared for and clean. Private, quiet, quaint. Plenty of room to sleep with three bedrooms. Highly recommend it for a family weekend.

Great Place!

Beautiful home very close to the mountain. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Beautiful fireplace. This was the perfect rental for our family. We stayed during the Christmas break. I look forward to renting again.

Merry Christmas

My family and I celebrated Christmas in the warm, cozy cottage. Everything was clean, and easy to manage. The description in the listing was accurate. I would recommend this house and would stay there again. It was also very close to Mt. Snow

Perfect Winter Escape

We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. The spacious family room had a cozy spot for everyone in my family. The house was super clean and the kitchen was stocked with everything I needed for cooking and baking. The house is so private and quiet at the end of a dirt road and within minutes you are at Mount Snow. We hope to return!

The house you want to return to again!

Andy took care of absolutely everything so that during the stay of the guests there was everything you need! A charming cottage, very cozy. We enjoyed the silence in the forest and the fireplace. There were a lot of board games in the house, which made our evenings fun. I would like to say with confidence that I want to return to this cottage again!

Cozy, retro spot in a primo location

Andy’s cottage was a cozy and retro spot for our family of 5. The location was very ideal for skiing at Mount Snow. Pictures and description are accurate. The property manager responded when we made a request. Be aware there are no bed linens or towels supplied. And you have to pick up and drop off the key at a different location.

A True Cabin in the Woods

My family has been coming to Southern VT for years now, but we only recently discovered The Moore Cabin. Now that it’s on our radar, I can’t imaging us staying anywhere else. The setting of the cabin is quite literally perfect - quick drives from Wilmington and Brattleboro, yet nestled in the woods where the only sounds you hear at night are the crickets and the cracking of the fireplace. The cabin itself is quaint with a stunning fireplace, comfy environs and two bathrooms - crucial for a family of 5. The best part was the tandem of decks outside, overlooking the woods, under a canopy of trees for ther perfect woods shade. Our stay was delightful and we will surely be back again. Thanks to our hosts!

Cozy Home Needing Safety Improvements

Overall, this home is charming and located in a nice area, great for small families or groups, especially skiers. Though we didn't ski, we enjoyed the area and walks around the neighborhood. The cozy living room, comfy beds, and bright rooms were highlights.However, I rated it 3/5 due to some safety concerns. We were excited about using the fireplace, but when following the instructions, smoke started coming out of the chimney. Despite our efforts to check the flue, the smoke continued, and the fireplace had visible soot stains on the exterior and ceiling from previous uses. The owner said this was normal, but the interior of the chimney appeared clogged with debris. I highly recommend a regular professional inspection to ensure proper airflow and safety before using the fireplace. We did not use the fireplace at all due to this, which was a letdown and one of the reasons we had booked the property. Additionally, we planned to use the crockpot listed in the amenities, but it was outdated, dusty, and had bugs in it. After cleaning, we still used it but felt uncomfortable leaving it unattended. I suggest investing in newer, safer appliances, especially those advertised in the home description.If those details are taken care of, this property would be a gem.

This is a family home that was built by my father and mother the same year that the trails were being cut on Mount Snow. Ever since then this house has been the center of two generations of year round family fun.
It feels like home to both family and others that have rented the cottage.

This is the ideal location for the family that likes privacy and convenience at the same time. It is 2-3 minutes to Mount Snow and 25 minutes to Stratton Mountain, to enjoy 4 seasons of fun, skiing, hiking, golfing and mountain biking
The cottage is 2 1/2 hours from Boston, 1 1/2 hours from Albany and 4 hours from New York City and 6 hours from Philadelphia.
