Everything was immaculately clean. The kitchen was well appointed. We had no needs during our stay, so no need to contact the host. It was a beautiful location.

The home was about 20 minutes from both Galena and Dubuque in a nice secluded patch of woods just north of the Illinois/Wisconsin border surrounded by pine trees.

Love the cabin, it’s the 2nd time we’ve stayed there. Way better than a hotel and we love the privacy. The cabin itself is very cozy and has everything for a relaxing time in the woods with lots of places to visit nearby.

This was a great cabin for a long weekend getaway! We loved the gas fireplace and the soaker jacuzzi tub. They were wonderful after a long day outdoors exploring the area. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was nicely stocked. We would stay here again!

The host was great and the cabin was really nice! A fun and relaxing stay, close to Galena and other great restaurants. Go to Charlie’s for breakfast and The Copper Kettle for dinner/drinks! We will definitely return in the Summer when we can take advantage of the outdoors!

This was the perfect spot for our summer vacation. The cabin was well stocked with all the essentials and the property is absolutely gorgeous. It was so nice to spend time in Galena and then return to the cabin to relax and make a meal.

It was a great place and my friends and I enjoyed our stay very much. It's a cute cabin with camping vibes, very spacious and beautiful scenery and outdoor space. The whole process from booking to checking out was smooth. The only issue we had with our stay was the washer wasn't working, so if that is something you plan on using, I'd recommend verifying with the host beforehand. Matthew was very accommodating and understanding when I brought up the issue and provided some reimbursement for that inconvenience. Matthew ensured that there was firewood for the fire pit when I reached out before the trip but I'd recommend bringing other supplies to start the fire if you're planning on using it.

Quiet Retreat

This was a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Very clean, we really enjoyed grilling on the covered porch and listening to nature. Highly recommend this place!!
