Enjoy our private hot tub on the property overlooking the lake! This is the perfect family getaway for some good old fashioned fun or a special place to find peace and solace for the weekend. We have all year-round water at Treasure Cove and the water is always clear! Not to mention the fish -- they love to sun themselves by our handcrafted sea wall. Want to enjoy a lazy time on the lake? Perched on its own point, this charming 1950's cottage is just like what you remember from your childhood complete with 1000 square feet of wraparound screened in porch. Boasting 600 feet of gorgeous lakefront, the outside will knock your socks off! The rock seawall has five large openings where you can walk right into the water. There is one dock for your boats and one swimming platform. With plenty of outdoor space, you can enjoy beach volleyball in our lakeside court, late night campfires in our massive fire circle and picnics down by the lake. The kids will love sleeping on the beds located on the porch - our kids did and now our grand kids do! Great for families, fishing and hunting excursions or a peaceful retreat. We have done a beautiful job of landscaping and creating a special 'get away from it all' atmosphere. There is also our own boat ramp that works best for smaller trailers and 18 foot boats. Want to catch movies and sports on TV? Check out our flat screen high resolution TV. Satellite offers you an abundance of programming and movies including ESPN. High-speed internet access plus wifi available.

We're an easy drive to Auburn football games, hiking trails on the lake and the river and a wide range of excellent dining opportunities.

Property is free from artificial fragrance and uses natural products. We are conveniently located in the Anchor Bay/Kowaliga area on its own point in Treasure Cove. The house was built by Aubrey's grandfather. Once you see it, you'll be back ... again and again!

Available for two night minimum. Holiday minimums for 2025 as follows: 4 night minimum for Labor Day and Thanksgiving, 5 night minimum for Memorial Day and 7 night minimum for Independence Day. June and July 2025 have a minimum of 5 nights until 4/1/25. Thereafter, there is 2 night minimum excluding holidays listed above. Cleaning fee: $180. Plus taxes. relax and rest vacation

The cabin was absolutely perfect. The location was excellent and the property being on the point was beautiful. The weather was cold and rainy but the last day was better and made for some nice sunrises and sunsets.

What we were hoping for

We had a family of 7 ages from 24 to 75. The place is just the right amount of rustic but still met all our needs. The hot tub made the chilly weather enjoyable and the view is beautiful no matter the temperature. Kitchen has all the tools needed to cook family size dinners. I do wish it had been noted the 2nd bath is accessible from the porch outside. Not a big problem and would be nice in the summer, however. We hope to stay again hopefully in the warmer months to enjoy the lake.

Aubreys Cabin

When we arrived the cabin had not be cleaned, the beds were unmade and still stripped with comforters in piles on them, unwashed/used towels were laying out on the night stand with no clean ones available. The handyman's car was parked on the boat ramp with a trailer attached and his keys in the ignition. At the time we didn't know who's it was, and being that he was out on the lake fishing in his kayak there was nobody around car around. (we arrived after dark so this was disconcerting). Ceiling tiles have water stains and the air are vents rusted. Stairs/steps to dock had one step completely missing, another step half gone; attachment to the dock cracked in three places and therefore needed us to use extreme caution when descending. I called the host and owner, they responded as quickly as possible and had cleaners over the same night... we went out to eat and when we came back the cleaners were finishing up and the towels were drying in the dryer. The handyman removed his vehicle and trailer. Sent pictures of the problems with the dock and were told that it would be fixed post our checkout. Host and owner very courteous and responsive to calls. Cabin location and vast property were great. However, cabin is dated and being that we arrived after the scheduled check-in time we did not expect to find what we did. My guess is this was not normal and was a culmination of unfortunate mistakes. The Host and owner worked to fix as quickly as they could.

Arkansas/Louisiana family gathering

This was a family affair, three cousins and family. One family has been coming to this property for the past 14 years, the last three they switched to next door, owners are related. This house was perfect for us. Only one bathroom inside, but that was not an issue for us. The other bathroom is in the laundry room, which also served a purpose since we were outside a lot and easier access. The shower worked just fine. Favorite part? Screened in porch. We had dinners out there. The lake water is so clear it is hard to fish. We fished off the boat dock. We would come back to this one in similar large group setting. OH, the futons on the porch were comfortable too. Although it was very hot while we were here, we were out there a little. Thank you for making this available. Lake Martin is huge and we did enjoy it.

Great little camp

We really enjoyed our stay. The house itself was a but smaller than it looked online, but we made it work. It was very clean and easy to find. The best features is the surrounding property itself, especially the swimming area. We also loved the screened in porch despite it being so hot while we were there. It’s really beautiful there.

Lake Martin Retreat

This is such a nice place to stay. The porch is screened in so you can hang out there all day. You have a beautiful view and lovely landscaping. I hope we can come back next summer.

Perfect spot on the lake

Aubrey's Lakewood Cabin is on a beautiful lot on Lake Martin. There is a beach, fire pit, screened in porch and a hot tub. There is literally something for everyone. The cabin is very comfortable and well provisioned. We have stayed many times and it never disappoints!

Family Lake Trip

This cabin was the perfect place for our family. The huge wraparound porch is where we spent most of our time when we weren’t boat riding on the lake. The property also had several areas where we could spread out if needed. We had a great time and hope to rent this place in the future.

Review of Aubrey’s cabin

Overall relaxing, private location, outdoor lake frontage was tranquil, impressive and our favorite spot. Upgrade of range and frig in kitchen was a plus. WIFI was a beneficial. Parking was spacious and abundant. Back covered porch for cooking/eating and covered wrap around porch were excellent for family gathering to socialize/play games. Location on the lake is excellent and close to marina/restuarants/ attractions we frequent. Upgrades needed desperately asap are mattresses on all beds and floating dock. The required 5 day stay will hinder us from booking in the future due to our schedules we do not require more than 3 days stay.

Great location!

The location was great! Right in the middle of the lake, and close to several shops and restaurants. The check-in/check-out process was simple and easy. The property is huge and has lots of room for fun activities, such as swimming, fishing, and playing volley ball. The sand bar was a hit with all of the kids (just a short swim).Definitely recommend this property to anyone with a large group/family!

Great short getaway

Our stay was wonderful! Quick getaway with a few friends. The property was beautiful and had everything we needed. Beautiful dock to play and fish off of. It was really nice to have a starter paper towel roll, toilet paper etc already there too. Everything was clean. Hot tub was our favorite part!

Very lovely experience

This was my first VRBO experience and I know I picked the perfect location/ host for it. Everything was perfect, we were given clear communication and the opportunity to reserve an event. There were more than enough items in the kitchen to cook a variety of snacks and meals! My family raved about the decor of the home and during our stay my fiancé and I had our celebration, which was similar to tiny informal wedding, right by the lake. My mother’s wheelchair could be pushed through the entire house and porch with no trouble and even all the way to the volleyball area. 10/10 would recommend!

Pewceful beauty

I stayed 3 nights, to get a small break from the busy life. It was absolutely gorgeous! Amazing architecture on the property, the set up of the grounds is beautiful. It is very cozy, secluded/private, and beautiful.

College girlfriend reunion

Met 3 friends from college to go see Auburn game and spend the weekend together. The property is beautiful! Loved the hot tub but it needed more water. Otherwise just perfect for us. Will definitely try to stay here again.

I love Alabama, family and community and Shari and I offer our cabin so that others can enjoy what I had growing up - fun, beauty, family, good food and love staying at my grandfather's house on the lake every summer with my brother and sisters. Those were exciting times and still there are five generations of Aubreys that live on.

We welcome you to Lakewood. Perhaps it’s the lay of the land, the point’s gentle gesture towards water and sky. The place has always felt sacred to me. It’s all about family and the generations: the Old South. I remember when every house was full of kids, cousins, elders. We rocked and played for hours while the fish were caught, the burgers grilled, the ice cream firmed up; till everyone was there. Swimming, conversation, sheer joy of life. That’s how it was…and still is… at Lakewood.

It gives me great satisfaction to read the comments of our guests; to sense that this place has revealed something of itself to another family. That a relationship has been built and that the feeling is mutual.

There’s plenty to do. We encourage you to use our beach volleyball court at the water’s edge, relax in the hot tub, boat the 750 miles of Lake Martin’s shoreline, islands and coves (we have our own boat ramp). Ski, jet ski, windsurf, fish (or just watch the large mouth bass moseying along our 600 feet of antique sea wall), cruise Lake Martin’s new extravagant homes, hike or ride the 80 miles of trails along the lake’s cliffs and woodland vales. Discover the charm and friendly people of our surrounding towns of Eclectic, Dadeville, Alexander City, Wetumpka, and Tallassee. Don’t miss the Chicken Auction or the Red Hill music hall renditions every Friday night and all our local festivals, gatherings, and churches. We now have the best high end restaurants imaginable and the finest funky dining that Alabamians love. You will be staying on Treasure Cove on Alabama’s Treasure Lake. Our water is always clear and clean. But most of all fall into the grace and magic, the peaceful delight of Lakewood.
