A Secluded Cabin on a Babbling Brook

Our home is on 12 acres tucked away in the National Forest bordering 2 sides of the property in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. Our home offers privacy having no neighbors. Total relaxation with the sounds of nature and two creeks that border the house. This cozy little home is a two bedroom one bath house with a large covered porch with plenty of wildlife. Enjoy the beauty of the forest. Hike mountain trails without having to leave the property. Curl up on the front porch, watch the birds nest and listen to the babbling creeks.
Close to white water rafting, kayaking and boating on Lake Chatuge. The Area offers miles of hiking, biking, and horseback riding and has close access to the Appalachian Trail. There are 5 golf courses in the immediate area including Brasstown Valley Resort, Mountain Harbour and Chatuge Shores, We are just a few minutes to the renowned Georgia Mountain Fair Grounds, 20 minute to the William Holland School of Lapidary and 30 minutes to the John C. Campbell Folk School.

The cabin is exactly as described. We love the close proximity to town. The mornings spent alone while enjoying a cup of coffee on the front porch was my absolute favorite!! We will definitely stay here again!!

The cabin is very clean and cozy! Very private and quiet! The host had plenty of extra towels, linens and blankets. The place is very pet friendly. This cabin was built in the 70’s but well maintained and upkeep! My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! We would definitely stay here again!

Our second stay at this house. Peace & quiet at this location. Very private. Our dog had a blast . Clean & well stocked for your needs. A home away from home... Highly recommended as a get away from city life .

This was our first time traveling with our pets. They absolutely loved the property as well as we did. It felt very peaceful and private, but very close to town. We stayed 3 nights and we're very comfortable and happy with our stay. The babbling creek made all the difference. Make sure you try High Shoals Falls.

Lovely property. Stress free drive into Hiawassee. A lot of shade cover to get outside without toasting. Fantastic and responsive host. The kids and the dog always love exploring the creek. The deer were plentiful this summer.

We enjoyed our 12 night stay at the blue house in the woods. There was a lot of rain but the long private road still allowed pretty walks and exercise for our dog when we didn’t venture out to hike on the really rainy days. The big front porch was our favorite space. The babbling brook was calming, and most of the cooking was on the gas grill. Distance from the parking to the house is not conducive to wheels so manage carry loads accordingly.

Beautiful wooded retreat

My husband, daughter, and family dog had a great week here. We met up with other family staying in the area and enjoyed hiking and Lake Chatuge despite almost constant rain. The house is charming and the setting is serene. Our host was enthusiastic and easy to contact. It was a great vacation and we hope to book here again in the future.

Little slice of heaven

Return to Georgia

The cabin was very nice. The beds were very comfortable. The cabin is secluded but close to everything. I would recommend this cabin for people wanting to get to know the area.

Peaceful Retreat

This is a hidden gem. Out of the hustle and bustle. Quiet and extremely peaceful. Karin was a wonderful host, always responded when I had a question. This little house was perfect for our vacation. We spent our days on Lake Chatuge and spent our evenings enjoying the sound of the creek and nature. A week stay just wasn't long enough. Our pups enjoyed it just as much as we did!
