Overall, we had a wonderful stay and genuinely enjoyed our vacation. The host was responsive, friendly, and helped make the experience pleasant from start to finish. The property was comfortable and met many of our needs. However, there were a few things that I believe should be considered standard amenities in a vacation rental. We found ourselves needing to purchase basic necessities such as toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and additional trash bags. While these may seem like small items, they are essentials that most guests expect to be available during their stay. I could easily do without other extras before having to make a trip to the store for basic household necessities. The home was generally clean, but there were some areas where a little more attention to detail would have made a noticeable difference. Nothing that negatively impacted our stay, but a few imperfections stood out upon closer inspection. One aspect that was disappointing was the number of additional fees attached to amenities. Paying extra for the grill, heated pool, heated hot tub, and baby equipment felt excessive considering the overall cost of the rental. While I understand vacation rentals operate differently from hotels, charging separately for amenities that many guests view as part of the overall experience made the value feel less competitive.Because of the added costs for basic necessities and commonly expected amenities, I will likely be more selective considering vacation rentals
